Anubis
I just ordered the M&M 1/60 set from Toys n' Joys mentioned here. I was wondering if anyone has shopped there before. Any problems or are they reliable? The price is sweet, but has a hint of too good to be true. So I am playing this one by ear. Maybe just paranoid, but if I get a broken valk in the mail I will be severely pissed off. Toys n' Joys website
bigben
I've actually gone to their store in Hawaii. They seem to be pretty reasonable and friendly people.

bigkid24
I've ordered from them before. They are pretty reliable. Some of their prices are really high but they are good if they have what you need.
kensei
English is bad. I don't want to e-mail him again, I'm afraid I might insult him or get an even more cryptic reply....
Sturmvogel
I have to say that I've bought valks from several online shops, but Toys n Joys is the only one that I have had a problem with. I won't be shopping there again.
Anubis
I don't think I will again either after how my Millia 1/60 arrived. Sticker damage on box, and the box obviously was opened, as you can see where it was retaped. The sticker sheet was also bent from sliding the insides back in the box. I would guess a customer examined it and changed their mind, but never know. But for 50 bucks on sale I wasn't going to raise a fuss over that. The valk itself was just fine, which was what really mattered. But the fact remains that it was not a sealed item, which makes me think twice about ordering from them again. That bad huh? My biggest gripe with them is that they sold stuff on their Website that they didn't have in stock. And it took me months to get my money back. xstoys
I also purchased the 1/60 Max & Millia set .... & I was most DISPLEASED with their service. I initially ordered 2 set of each pretty early when the sale was listed on their site, but they phoned me 3 days later to let me know they made a mistake & oversold their quantity. They said they could get me the extra Max, but only 1 Millia. I told them to send me 1 set then. 2 days later I get an e-mail confirmation with a UPS tracking # & ETA of delivery. I wait 3 more days, till the due date, NOTHING! I call UPS & they say this package may have been issued a tracking #, but no package was ever sent or picked up. I call the store & they tell me the shipping dept. comes in later in the evening & I can leave a message. Message left, 2 days later still no call back. I e-mail them with the same copmplaint. I'm getting PO'd. I call Hawaii again (long distance mind you) & they say leave another message. They reply by e-mail asking me if te situation has been resolved yet ... "dumbasses." I reply with a bigger complaint that no one has done jack, but me!!! I call one more time & finally they give me someone to complain to. I'm totally pissed now!!! They say they're now sold out on the Millia, but that's they're problem, they'll do their best to find me another one. I'm thinkin' ... THEY BETTER after all the crap they put me through. I forget to ask for a tracking # this time. So I e-mail them. NO response again. 5 days later I finally get it, semi crushed boxes & stupid price stickers everywhere. I won't be doing business there again! Just my 2 bits...

I had a very similar experience with them. I highly recommend disputing the charge for the Max with your credit card company now. Otherwise, it will be like pulling teeth to get your money back (and it's unlikely you'll ever receive the Max).
kensei
It took them 19 days to ship a Yuna Necklace to my doorstep. I almost didn't score with the chick I bought them for! But to their credit, they did send me the tracking information for USPS and it came to me in perfect condition, no dinged boxes no scratches marking or price tag adhesive. Just that they are almost as bad as HLJ with their shipping.
wasabi-elephant
I bought a Medicom made 12" Kikaider 01 from them a couple of years ago. The box was in good shape but then I noticed the figure was not entirely mint. It appears to me the figure has been out of the box and displayed before. No wonder their sale price was so much lower than other on-line stores. That is the only time (and my last time) I buy from them.
jenius
I just thought I'd chime in. Today I received my VF-11B Fast Pack from Toys N Joys. I think I bought this item on Friday so I'm pretty thrilled. I Emailed them beforehand to verify that it actually was in stock (they told me this was the last one but the website shows it still being in stock so be warned). Once I received the go ahead I immediately placed my order. Turn around was fantastic and the toy is absolutely mint. So, while this place may occasionally suck they certainly do occasionally come through.
valkyrie312
My experience with them was positive, although not without hassles. I ordered the M&M Bandai set for them when they were first becoming hard to find. I got my box in a reasonable amount of time, but when I opened the box, I had Yamato M&M valks (which is great except that's not what I ordered). I e-mailed and called them and finally got the matter resolved, but it was kind of a pain. Just know that they have good stuff, but are hit or miss in the customer service department.
