This isn't a poll, because I didn't feel like listing a few choices from each series. Just write in and tell me which ones you like... but just one from each series. (I'm grouping all the One Year War suits together, but if you want to break them up by series, go ahead. I just don't want to see stuff like "From Char's Counterattack, I really liked Sazabi, the RE-GZ, the Jagd Doga... etc, because that just gets ridiculous. I only want to know your one most favorite for each series.) My list is thus: One Year War - Gouf Zeta Gundam - Gundam Mk II ZZ Gundam - Bawoo Char's Counterattack - Nu Gundam Gundam F91 - I'll go with the RX-99 Neo Gundam... but in my opinion, UC mobile suits are all downhill from Char's Counterattack. V Gundam - Victory 2 Gundam G-Saviour - I'm gonna go with the J-Saviour from the game version. G Gundam - Master Gundam (but Manager Gundam gets props for the tie and cigar) Gundam W - The Endless Waltz version of Deathscythe Hell Gundam X - Virsago Turn A Gundam - Borjarnon! Gundam SEED - Blitz Gundam For you manga lovers out there... Skippy438 Posted October 15, 2003 Share Posted October 15, 2003 Okay, here's my list, but I haven't seen all the series either MSG: Gelgoooooooooooooog! 0080: GM Sniper II, only there for a second before it's blown to hell, but it's a beautiful suit 08th MS Team: Gouf Custom, just a sleeker Gouf, excellent 0083: GP01 was cool, land form though Zeta: Gundam Mk. II Titans colors, you just can't go wrong with midnight blue, ever haven't seen ZZ, but the Zeta Zaku looks great Char's CA: I'd say the Nu Gundam, but I can't get enough of the Jegan, man that thing is just great Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

One from each series seems excessive. Here's my favorite mobile suit: Zaku Kai. As a rule I love Izubuchi's work, so I'm also keen on the rest of the stuff from CCA, 0080, Patlabor, Gasaraki, etc. but the Zaku Kai is my favorite. The design is the best refinement of the original RX-78-2 Gundam from the OYW era; it holds up well even today. I also really like any mecha with disposable armor (one of the reasons I'm a huge fan of the VF-1). Those designs are far too busy looking, with too many unecessary segments, flanges, and protrusions. A solid mecha design that stands the test of time will always look good based simply on the basic aesthetic essentials, like the VF-1 Valkyries of Macross, the RX-78-2 from Gundam, or the Ingrams of Patlabor. Totally agree. The Sentinel designs were really scratch build models Frankensteined from a bunch of different, unrelated parts without much rhythm or reason except to "look cool".
