-Does it feel fragile at all

-Are there ratchets all over the place?

-Is it a lot more durable than Toynami's MPC?

-Did your head explode by the sheer amount of awesomeness after the first transformations?

-Can the Tread retract its landing gear?

-Is the connection with Legioss and Tread stable enough for me to swoosh it around?

-Are there any questionable construction elements?

Does it feel solid or hollow?

Are the joints tight?

Does it hold together (combined) well?

Are you able to stick your tongue back in your mouth yet?

Have you stooped drooling?

It feels a little bit solid and a little bit hollow. The Tread especially is a tiny bit hollow-feeling but at the same time, quite solid.

The joints are very tight and everything holds poses well. Legs on the Tread are a little loose in the hips but that's it.

It holds together ok, just ok. Since the Tread landing gear/connector is made of diecast metal and is fairly tight at the attachment points. (actually, aside from the landing gear and a couple of small joints, ther is virtually no diecast in this set.

Do the hands on the Legioss and Tlead fold in for transformation or do they have to be removed?

hows the connection to legioss to tread?

are the transformations easy to do?

are they solid toys or does it feel like it could break easily?

how are the hands?

was it WORTH it? =[ (i really want a legioss + tread combination)

Connection to the Tread is a little loose and doesn't balance on the stand that well. You have it at an angle of 45degrees to balance and not fall over.

The transformations are easy and very similar to the Toynami/Aoshima.

The Tread is a solid piece. The Legioss is a little loose and the front section does't connect all that securely.

The hands are very nice and solid pieces. Very MG hands. They fold up in to the arms on both toys.

Does everything 'lock down' and fit together nicely in each mode so that you know the transformation is 'done'?

Things don't all lock down securely as I mentioned above. The Legioss is a very loose and actually, kind of flimsy toy in fighter mode. The front section rests more than locks into place. It easily moves or becomes diconnected. The Tread, however, very solid once transformed.

- Could you tell us where the ratchet joints are located on both the tread and legioss?

- Do all the parts line up well?

-Is there a huge gap under the legioss in fighter mode?

- How's the connection?

- Do the hands fold in via trap door?

Ratchet joints in the hip of both.

No gap.

The connection is ok but it rests more than locks into the combination.

Hands fold via "trap-doors"

Somne parts on the Legioss line up but don't secure as I mentioned above. The Toynami is a far more solid toy. And again, almost zero diecast

My review is coming later today but i'm very happy with this toy. However, I can see many people hating this thing. The Legioss is veeeery floppy in the hands and the front section not locking (maybe I have a lemon) is a HUGE turn off for me. The tread is a great toy however. Solid, dynamic for such a lumbering beast and full of little features.

BTW, little additions, the five Stick mini-figures, the sword, the plastic plugs to disguise ALL the screw holes are great little additions.

Is it worth it? For me, yes. But it's not perfect and the Legioss is more flimsy than the Toynami which FEELS more expensive than this. I just wish there was more diecast than the landing gear and a couple of tiny joints alone.

Pictures coming soon with a full review.

My legioss and tread be coming nextr week, thus i will try to use my aoshima legioss and CM corp's tread together.

if it works out i will post up pics of it!! hahahah..

I tried but only this morning before work so I couldn't get it quite right. None of the clips seemed to fit the Aoshima though.

But looking forward to your pics. B))

Thanks for your replies Alex. Honestly I hope mine doesn't come with loose hands or loose part fitting. However I don't like the part where you said the Toynami feels more like a solid toy. I'm also kind of disappointed that there is only ratchet joints within the hips. I would of liked the thing to be fully ratcheting and clicky. Although I am glad to hear there isn't a huge gap under the legioss in fighter mode. I can't wait to get mine. I hope Overdrive gets them in and ships them out this coming week!

I know. But the Toynami/Aoshima just feels heavy and chunky and less delicate than this Legioss. I'm not saying that the CM Legioss is made of egg-shells, just that the amount of die-cast and lack of (proper) locking mechanisms makes it suffer.

Sorry. Missed your post.

The landing gear can retract, yes.

Ratchets are only on the hips of the two bots.

Connection is really not that great so it's more of a display piece. Put It can just about be whooshed around.

Questionable elements? maybe the nose-cone again. It's an appalling piece of construction. THe MPC pulled it off infinitely better. This just sits there and moves with the slightest movement (if you touch the front section, that is).

Did my head explode? Besides the flaws. Yep

Wow, you took my opinion far more seriously than it was meant to be taken. I wasn't making some manifesto, just sharing my opinion of what I like. I like toys. Don't let it bother you so much.

Hah, sorry. I guess I got carried away when my lovely 1/48 was disparaged. Reading "not as good as a collector piece as the Legioss" made my neck hairs stand on end. Hee.

I think the same people who can accept paying $250 (really more like $280 now) for the Legioss/TLEAD are the same people who wouldn't bat an eyelash at spending around $200 apiece for 40 cm hollow vinyl monsters like these:

Wow, are those rare vintage pieces or something?

Ok.....I bought it last night. Spent hours fiddling around with it. I won't have time to put up a full review and pics until later tonight as i'm at work but I can answer any questions in the meantime.

Bring it on, mofos

Do they have waist joints?

(Yes, that's supposed to be Godzilla on the left.)

I frequent ClubTokyo.org, and even though I *still* don't understand why this occurs because personally I think figures that look like that aren't worth $2, Roger isn't exaggerating much about the prices on those kaiju above.

Edit: And next to the Toyami, the CM looks like it desperately needs a ham sandwich.

Hmm...I'm wondering if it would be easy to remove the link arm from the Tlead so it looks better in flight mode, even though it would sacrifice the front landing gear. I probably wont display them linked anyway so I'm going to try it when I get mine.

Crap. I like this - alot.

Hopefully it is very limited and will soon become so rare as to be enormously impossible to purchase for me - then I won't have to worry about getting it :)

The legioss looks kinda thin in soldiermode. The air intake is way too small.

I'm curious what the fightermode looks like from topview. (hopefully not too much legs sticking out from the back)

Conversely, future shipments might not sell so well and e-tailers could be left with a lot of stock to shift. ;)

Sigh it really is a shame, finally a tread is made and it looks amazing, and of all things the legioss is the thing that is all screwed up and wont connect right to the tread. WHYYYYYYYY!? Please will someone make a legioss/tread that works in all the right ways!

I would think it must be easily removeable since it doesn't look attached in soldier. I'm hoping people just always show it with the arm attached because of the landing gears.

-Does the CM's Legioss have any of the problems that the Toynami MPC has in robot mode?(as in arms gradually loosening due to the weight of the lower arms and diecast, et al)

They say it has hardly any diecast so chances are the joints will last much longer than they do with the Toynami. You also won't have the crooked head Toynamis have if the pics are any indication... and all it took for CMs to make that happens was to make it so the head couldn't turn...

I dunno but why does the Legioss looks like one of those cartoon characters that got his head bashed in. Or is the Legioss shrugging its shoulders? Regardless, I am happy I didnt buy it though the plane mode does look decent.

Well, testimony from someone who has one has convinced me that I do want to put the money down for this. Unfortunately it s currently backordered at HLJ. On the bright side not "discontinued" like the MH Stick, so I can but hope that the production run is larger enough that I will be able to get one.
