see, now that was the image I wanted the dvd boxset to look like. I can actually cover all three sides. But that's one nice looking set. Too damn expensive though. :p:D:lol:

It is when you have every other SHE Macross Kit ever made except that Upgrade Kit which you've thought existed for the last 5 years but even after 5 years of looking you weren't even sure of that till you saw this auction. I guess this is probably only one of about ten (maybe less) in the world.

As I already have the VF-5000B and the Super Pack Kits I might be willing to sell those but a few others will have to pass on them before I post them in the for-sale section here at Macross World.

Anyone know of a grade up kit for another kit that's ever sold for more? I'm not sure if that's really a record I'd want to have.

After a big sigh of relief.... See, I told you so. By the way guys... Sorry the quoted post above was so short. I was in an internet cafe in Germany about 30 seconds before closing when I posted it so I hope I didn't come across as too big headed.

By the way... if the person responsible for having Celga bid against me at the end there is here... (come on I know if they were in Japan they wouldn't have needed Celga) ...and I think that is VERY likely... I want you to know there are no hard feelings. I've already got two SHE YF-21s and as I think I've spent enough on SHE kits for a while I won't be going after this one. But... I don't have this box. I have a box just like this one that says 1:75 SCALE KIT where this one says 1:100 SCALE KIT. Otherwise its identical and dispite the quoted scale difference its also the identical kit. If anyone here decides they want this kit and would be willing to sell just the box PM me.

Sorry if my posting it caused more attention...honestly I did not remember you needed this kit..it was just the first time I had seen the ver 2 together with the kit and FP box...so I thought it was nice...never thought it would go this high though. It's ok. MacrossWorld in general has given Yahoo Japan alot of attention in general. Its not like it was just a few years ago that's for sure. Besides as I was in Germany had it not been for your post I'm not sure if the people that emailed me to tell me about this auction would have seen it. So for that alone I owe you a thank you. is my TI email address that hasn't been good for 7 or 8 months now. My current personal email address is hoff@wt.net but once I get a local service provider her in Mississippi that will be changing too but its the best one to use for now.

By the way... have you EVER seen the Version 2 Upgrade Kit before without the kit or FP box? This is the first time I've EVER seen it period. I've seen the normal kit, the version 2 kit, and the FP kit before but never the Upgrade Kit. I knew something special was released only at one event back in 1998 but this is the first time I've ever seen exactly what it was.

I thought I saw a version 2 kit stand alone about 9 months ago...but now reading your posts I realize I am probably mis-remembering. I was not properly shocked when I saw it this time because I thought I had seen it...but the one I was thinking about I thought only went for a couple hundred bucks...so I may have simply dreamed it.

There is a Ver. 2 kit of the VF-5000B that was available through HLJ amoung other places.

Actually the box picture on that link is the Ver. 1 box. The Ver. 2 box is identical but it has a sticker attached to it that states Ver. 2.

Here look at the one in this picture:

What I haven't seen before is the Ver. 2 Upgrade Parts Kit. It should contain a unique head that was released ONLY at the event in 1998 where this kit was sold. There may also be some other special parts that were exclusive to the event. I won't know for sure till I get it in my hands.

Thanks. My SHE collection is 99.9% complete now. Unless there is something else out there I'm not aware of. I'm still missing one box variation for the YF-21. I have this one:

Well that pic was taken before everything got boxed up for the move to Mississippi. That and the fact that my digital camera is still in Texas make that rather hard. There are some more pictures here:
