wwwmwww
To be honest I hope one of those recasters here in Hong Kong bought that Liquid Stone YF-19 That would be interesting but I'm sure it's not the case. http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/show...t?aID=n13121663 Of the six that bid on this I know who 2 of them are, the 2nd and 5th place bidders. And no one of them wasn't me. However looking at the winners past wins: http://rating9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/sho...D=maskedbidder& It's clear the winner is a BIG macross fan. And judging based on his Yahoo Yapan ID I think the odds are good that he isn't Japanese. As such I wouldn't be at all surprised that he was a MacrossWorld member. If so PLEASE step forward. I'm sure no one will turn on you. We'd just love to see up close and detailed photos. If you want to stay a secret PM me and I'd be more then willing to post the photos for you. Please consider it... wwwmwww
Carl...........it wasn't me Noel I know. I'm not trying to point the finger at anyone. I'm just making an educated guess and if he is here even if he doesn't want his name out in the open I just hope he's willing to share pictures. AlphaHX
Wow, I wonder why this YF-19 is so expensive... is it cuz its prebuilt? IMHO, it terms of accuracy and even size, the SHE model is bigger and is decent looking in all modes. I have to admit the fighter mode for the IHP YF-19 is stunning but I prefer the SHE model in gerwalk and battroid mode... and their fighter mode aint bad either. I have no doubt in my mind that the IHP kit is nothing short of amazing but over $1000. Thats... wow. I dunt know what to say. Thats... umm... expensive. zeo-mare
it is probably so expensive because of its rarity, it is also as of lately very hyped up by macross fans and that helps to, Rare + Popular = Major Money. kind of like the Elmo doll a few years ago around christmas time. pray to god that yamato is watching. kanata67
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MEWN:IT UP FOR BID IS A 1995 1/55 MACROSS 7 VF-17S STEATH VALKYRIE. THE ITEM HAS BEEN OPENED, ALL DECALS APPLIED, TRANSFORMED ONCE OR TWICE, THEN PUT IN STORAGE. THE PLASTIC WINDOW ON THE BOX IS RIPPLED, BUT IS OTHER WISE IN DECENT SHAPE. IT COMES WITH THE USED DECAL SHEET AND THE ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS. THIS IS NOT MADE BY BANDAI After I won it and paid for it I just had to ask how it could be all original if "NOT MADE BY BANDAI". Seller offered my a refund but I don't mind. I don't have a stealth at the moment and I should know by now to read carefully before bidding. Glad I bought one from Neova a while back....fsiuhh.. It’s different in JP, in the US you can still get Max for 140 if not less w/shipping. Sellers on YJP are raising prices, most of those auctions do not sell.
aaajin
But dont the price here in the US will eventually follow the price trend in Japan because theyre the source of all these toys? (likewise the yf-19)..but yeah...there's still too many factors to count in....just like when LV is selling for a much higher price here than in Japan....but I do believe when the time comes, the 1A max price will explode unless yamato made another release of 1A Max or prolly, who knows, 1S Max?? aaajin

The collectors market is different both of these countries. Also even though Macross is big in JP, the price trend doesn't mean much if you don't keep in mind that many of the Yammies target higher end collectors. You do realize that the Yammies 1/48s don't sell as well as other toys/collectibles that target general buyers. Just look at the huge selection of toys on YJP and you will notice Yamato Macross toys make up a very small part of listings. Compare that to TFs, anime toys and collectibles and you can see a big difference in the demand. I do not see the demand for the Max's exploding in JP anytime in the foreseeable future. As for LVs being sold for high prices in the US that is the demand in the US collectors market. But again, who knows the Max's might get reissued but if info from the recent shows in JP are any indicator, it doesn't look very hopeful.
