YAHOO AUCTIONS - JAPAN

Recommended Posts

SHE kits have been recasted ages ago when they first hit the market! The cast are great (I have one :D ) but the problem is the complexity of the kit and the almost impossibility of finding the correct tiny screws!

Last but not least, the cost of the recast kit is almost as close as the real thing! I paid roughly US$173 for mine <_<

LOL...thats what I have always thought would be the problem with recasting them...so many parts...too much work to make sense to do...amazing engineering in those babys.

There is one big difference in the re-cast that makes it worthwhile:

AVAILABILITY!

I would buy the whole lineup if I can, re-cast or not. Still more affordable than those originals.

Seriously, though, if someone has the kits now, I can get it recasted cheaply but will require 15-20 orders to do it. Sigh...

You have to remember though that overcoming the recast complexity and cost is perhaps only the easy part, getting the right sized screws, nuts and bolts are the problems ;)

I will try and dig mine out, it is partially built though and the screws do not fit that great either. I bought the kit in Wan Chai many years ago at "Hung Fat" (ground floor of Emperor Building if you know where it is). with any luck they might still have the molds.

Grahams going after it. I would respectfully ask anyone else who is considering going after it to talk to Graham first. Lets not have MW'ers bidding against other MWers.

especially when they can kick you off MW

To be honest I hope one of those recasters here in Hong Kong bought that Liquid Stone YF-19 ;)

I know we should not support bootleggers but in some cases this is the only option for fans like us to get our hands on these kits ;)
