Rabidweezil
Hi I bought a PG Char's Zaku II from Toys R Us a while ago when they had them for dirt cheap. I never really cared for the Salmon color and wanted to paint it as something else. I was thinking with the Black Trinity Color Scheme. Problem is though, I don't have an airbrush so I couldn't accurately paint it. I was wondering what some of you customizers would charge me to do this? It would be just the armor pieces which I would imagine to be pretty easy. Let me know please. Thanks!
Valk009
A custom job on such a big piece will not be cheap, even if you are just going to give the armour a new coat of paint! Remember, you still have to consider the two way shipping fees etc. Since you do not have an airbrush, why not try using Tamiya mini-can spray paints. This can be done with ease and will not burn a hole in your wallet! ...just my two cents
Mechamaniac
What he said... I used Tamiya Flats to do my armor only repaint of a PG Zaku when I did my desert custom...I think it came out very well. This is just the armor pieces as you mentioned. I didn't do any of the endo-skeleton. Just painted up the armor, and did a little pastel chalk weathering. Rabidweezil
Hey that looks nice! I thought about just spray paints, but I don't think I could match up the Black trinity very well. I guess I could just do some sort of a custom job. I'm a stickler for accuracy, unless I know I can get it perfect, I don't even bother. Thanks though By the way, does anyone know if those leg missles fit on the Char Zaku? The back of the leg looks different. I'd love to get the custom set, but not if it doesn't fit. Valk009
I believe the regular PG Zaku and the PG Char Zaku are the same besides the obious colour differences of the armour and the spike on the head of tha Char Zaku So, the custom sets should very well fit both sides. Furthermore, the packages of those custom sets does feature one of each Zakus!

THe set includes a set of leg bindings to allow the items to fit either zaku, i believe. Also, spray paint works wonders on these guys, cause they're armor's so large. Just slap some purple and black paint on there and you'll be suprised at how good it looks.
Mechamaniac
But use Tamiya FLAT paints. They are very forgiving, and give off a really nice, smooth satin type finish.
