GutsAndCasca
Okay, what is the lowest price someone would be willing to offer to sell a used Yamato 1/48 valkyrie???? If people even sell the things. --Bri (Berserk fan) Edited March 6, 2006 by GutsAndCasca
xstoys
Good luck, even used & stickered 1/48 Valkyries (gotta get he terminology right) go for @ $100. I'm checking to see if there might be that one person out there who would want to sell one of their Yamato 1/48 scale veritechs, in the 50 dollar price range. It's perfectly fine if decals have already been applied. Please let me know! Thanks!--Bri 377194[/snapback]

fulcy
The lowest I've seen a 1/48 go for, without box and in pretty bad shape (since I bought it) was $90. I doubt you'll find them cheaper than that anywhere...
Dante74
Just have patience and save your money a little longer. A brand new 1/48 Valk is much nicer to recieve.
fansubs2000
If $50 is your price range for a Valk, you may have to settle for a Yamato 1/60. Maybe you could even get a used Yamato 1/72 for that price.
Eternal_D
I'd save up and get a 1/48...forget the 1/60 and 1/55 and all that...
Veritas
Nothing on the market right now can compare to a new 1/48 Valk. Any particular one you're looking for because they've re-released some of them a number of times and those might be easier to find than others (VF-1S Roy in particular), and because of that cheaper. Def. save your money and pick a new 1/48, you won't be disappointed... and if for some remote reason you are i'm sure you can sell it back here on the boards for almost the same as what you paid for it. While nothing beats a 1/48, I wouldn't say forget the 1/55's. They are a cool line to collect too. That may just be my opinon though. (While 1/48's are king, I still love the 1/55 line)
valkyrie312
I agree with fansubs - the 1/48s are the best, but the 1/55 have a great nostalgic/sturdy feel to them and would also be a good line to pursue.

Well I just saw one close on E-bay a short while ago. 1st production run (so there are intial flaws right off the bat) Broken antenna, yellowing head, paint chipping, and no sticker sheet. With these problems, the buyer still paid $107 shipped. http://cgi.ebay.com/Macross-1-48-VF-1S-Roy...itemZ6039981493

That VF-0S looks SWEET! I'm so excited about that one, and who really isn't. Save my friend, save save save! I think that Macross Zero Valk is due sometime around May. There is still time to save for that one. Unfotunetly though for everyone, that one seems a little bit more pricey then a normal 1/48. I think it wil cost anywhere from $150 to $170 shipped. The best thing I ever spent my money on. Ever. Except for that night when I got drunk on my 23rd birthday... But that is another story for another day. But yeah, if you have the dough, save up for the Ze-ro. It's got all the bells and whistles and it's actually not much more than a new 1/48 VF-1. Twoducks
Use ebay from time to time. I just got a 1/48 VF-1A CF Mint for 97$. Here's a 1/48 auction
Macross73
$97.oo thats great. the lowest i paid was 102.oo for a vf-1a cf my army squadron is growing slowly but its growing.
Project Phoenix
I think either way 1/48s are great investments. the 1/60 VF-0 is another great buy but if you are willing to wait, hold off on the Zero and grab the 1/48s, especially the current limited run LV2 and Stealth valks. The VF-0 will eventually be reissued along with future variants.

If you know something that no one else does, spill the beans man! I want to know, will they actually be limited!?!?
Project Phoenix
Let's just say that my sources tell me it is most probably going to be a limited run deal. It will be more so if they print "Limited Edition" on those boxes when they ship next month. We will find out soon I guess. At the same time, I think the GBP ver.2 as well but that is also speculation on my part.
RT junkie
I just posed this question to my source, and his reply is that they are definitely not limited editions. "However, it has been confirmed to be a short run. Meaning, its a one shot and artificially, it will be limited. Response has been bad so it might be a while before they release more of these." -Guess it all depends on the market demand. My 2 cents.... try not releasing everything at the same time! Give us a little breathing room to budget for these, and Yamato would probably see a much steadier and higher volume of demand for each. With the cost of these, and releasing the 0S, 1A LVII, 1J Stealth, 1J Stealth Super and GBP-LV all within a months time..... many of us will have to pick and choose which we preorder, and which we try to snatch up after release as we can save up for them. Guess this actually belongs in the official thread for these new releases, but since the question was posed here.....
