Chowser
anyway to report to ebay or should i even bother? currently winning an auction with less than 3 hours. price is $100 less than retail price. seller sends me an email saying that he has gotten emails from other bidders where they are unable to enter their bid and that he has contacted ebay with no response and has told me if ebay doesn't fix it, he will not honor the auction and relist. i go back and look at the auction and see that it has only been viewed 2 times since i last looked at it 3 hours ago. i had a friend bid on it and it took the bid fine. i know the guy is trying to scam me, should i win the bid and risk this guy leaving me a negative when i leave him a negative when he fails to follow through on the auction? nightmareB4macross
I would say,"Do it." If the auctioner is having trouble with his items not responding to bids then he should have cancelled the item. Then attempt to relist it. If the auctioner still has the item open for "anyone", then by all means bid and win. If he decides not to sell it to you then report him to e-bay. If he decides to send you negative feedback then request a moderator be present for your dispute. At least this way you can retract the negative feedback. I hate a-holes who do this sort of auctioning. It really defeats the purpose of having a a reserve price on the item. What a dill-hole. Macross73
If he wanted more $$ he should of started it a higher price, or like NB4M said why didn't he put a reserve price on it. Good Luck.
twinmoons
Well, if he wasn't willing to sell it at a low price, he should've put a reserve price on it - that's what it's for. But apparently this guy is just trying to be a jerk and back out. I say you go for it and if he backs out, report him. It's his responsibility to put up the auction correctly and also his responsibility to make good on it. If he actually had a legitimate excuse, that would be one thing, but it sounds like he's just lying and trying to back out.
Chowser
haha, well, he just made himself a new accout and now he is shill bidding with an hour left, i'm out of it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEBI%3AIT&rd=1 here's the email he sent me: This email is in reguards to ebay item MICROSOFT XBOX 360 that you have placed a bid on. I am emailing you because I received alot of email in reguards to the auction that it is not accepting any bids?? The item that I am auctioning had encountered a bidding error and is not accepting bids that ebay members are trying to place. I contacted ebay customer service and they havent gotten back to me yet. If this error does not correct and the price does not go up I will have to cancel this auction and re-auction the xbox at a later date. If you have any questions please email me at karak40@optonline.net guess i really don't need a second one for my son. he'll have to make do with mine. Chowser
omg, what i noob: email I sent him, sarcastically accusing him of shill bidding and whatnot: well, after ebay fees, hope you break even with the help. you should have nativewife and sbabyluv bid on more than just one other auction to make it seem more legit. i'll still give ya $415 shipped for it, but it must be shipped to me at work at the police station. you can send a second chance offer for $375. see ya around. ---- his reply: yea anything over 400 would be great. I paid $445 for it so anything over that would be great lol -----02/15/06---- haha, he's relisted it. his shill account didn't bother paying. http://cgi.ebay.com/Microsoft-Xbox-360-Pla...1QQcmdZViewItem Edited February 15, 2006 by Chowser

kanata67
report him and move on with life. I still have 100% ebay feedback and have sold 3 vehicles [2 for a friend]. Think about the last time you sold a used vehicle without a complaint... much less a semi running 67 camaro . I've won one or two items I paid for and told the seller to relist as it wasn't worth the shipping cost. One of them refunded my $1 purchase price. I had that second chance offer on the 1/55 strike for $75 that was an ebay mistake. I had actually paid him... he refunded my money with the explanation. I've sold a few things for less than they should have sold for due to ignorance. I try not to jump on new guys doing stupid stuff like not knowing what a reserve is. I'd preffer if they let me get the super deals I should have gotten but unless they actually try to jack me I'm pretty forgiving. If you spot somebody you shouldn't deal with... don't. There is no reason to remove his kneecaps with a rusty estwing... unless money changed hands.
