Ladic
it has to be D&D, I just started playing the minis during the xmas, and it is hard to find singles in the comic book stores.
kanata67
are they the same old ral partha style from the late 80's/ early 90's or are they charachter specific like the heroscape things?

Ghadrack
I haven't read the rules for "Chainmail" or whatever they are calling the D&D miniatures game, but I sincerely doubt there is any reason that you can't substitute any brand of fantasy miniatures for the WoTC official minis. They do not have a very good variety of miniatures out there. Check out Reaper Miniatures online catalog and see if you can find specific models that you like then go someplace like Chaosmailorder and find the miniatures by model number, they are only 4 to 6 bucks a piece in most cases. I wouldn't part with my D&D miniatures for sentimental reasons but if you find someone willing to let go of a bunch for a bargain it might be worth jumping on, some of those old Ral Partha miniatures are real gems. Personally I am in love withe Reaper Miniatures Warlord and Dark Haven lines, they have a hoard of really nice figures, in fact, I am currently gearing up to run my first campaign after 18 years of playing, gonna do a little figure shopping at Gameboard tonight
Ladic
I don't use to play pen and paper D&D but the actual, minis game.
