valkyrietestpilot
i actually met chris barretta by accident at otakon in baltimore 2 summers ago.since then we talk & hang alot at otakon when it happens in the summer.his custom skills on some of the newest things he's created are just badass.1 thing he always seems to ask about is what's going on here on MW with custom pieces.i told him how his 1D head was still sought after today & he even mentioned how he might be interested in casting macross stuff for us again. dude,he's super busy with his job,but if you want,i have his email addy & i could email him for ya & ask if he has any 1/55 heatshields hanging out collecting dust.are you wanting 1 in particular? standard,1D? couldn't hurt to ask & it might just inspire him to create for us again.pm me if you want me to give it a shot for ya

I think they may be recasts of a factory one or may be actually Bandai originals. The guy selling them is Italian but they were delivered from China, so could be direct from the factory. I can post an image if anyone wants. Edited January 15, 2006 by big F
Skull-1
I'd be interested in tracking down those heatshields. I could use probably three "D" shields. The rest for A/J/S Valks. I could also use any spare heads, canopies, and/or elbow parts. Also, I wish I could find someone to recast the parts I use to make my swiveling thighs for the 1/55. These are just the elbow rotator. If Chris is interested I could sure use his help. Edited January 15, 2006 by Skull-
daisuki
I will be also interested by "D" heads and shields of chris. I also bought shields and missles with the Italian ebayer. they are of good quality but the shields have two horizontal lines which prevent from making use of it for a vf1d cutomization. will send pics as soon as i find them

nightmareB4macross
*bump*Still in desperate search of 1/55 heat shields... 365627 As soon as I am done with the VE-1 kit I will be able to have some available. This is of course refering to the clip on type like the original VE-1 and VT-1 clipshields.

TheLoneWolf
Don't forget ebay. A couple months ago there were actually plastic reproduction heatshields. They were superior to the Bandais in that the line going across the heatshield was actually etched in.

big F
Ok.. A little late but im sorry. I had a few FTP problems all fixed now though This is what the Crazyjuno heatshields look like. I vaugely remeber seeing some that look more like the vf-1 D sheilds but it was a while ago. still with a bit of work you can mod them. I will get arround to it one day. They snap perfectly onto all vintage 1/55's (including Jetfire), but they don't quite fit the 200x reissues.

big F
WOW!!!!!!Does he have an email address? 369350 Right here is the auction details that I won on heat sheilds The email address for Paypal payment was gezeko@gmail.com The guy never actually contacted me directly so not sure if he will respond to the email, your best bet is to contact him through the eBay send message to seller facility.
