Isamu Dyson
Thanks for the info Loop. Yup that's the seller alright: Tinsic Yeah, actually I didn't want to make the purchase given how expensive it is but my girlfriend thought it was worth it. My problem isn't so much how much he sells his product (that's his choice to sell and our choice to purchase) but rather just not sending the right item. How difficult is that??? If I was a once in a blue moon scenario it would be understandable but given his feedbacks in the past 6 months a lot of people have been victimized. I'm surprised you actually paid for the return shipping fee. That is totally not fair for you or my girl to be penalized for a mistake made by the seller. It's like going to a restaurant - making an order for a vegetarian pizza - getting a pepperoni instead and having to pay for it in order to get your vegetarian. If he sent me 2 VF-0A Shins - or any other Macross 1/60s, I might have actually just accepted the loss. But instead I got something totally out of the blue. Given his comments it even sounded intentional. I don't see the logic of this kind of business other than to screw people over. "If you were to make a claim, I would not include the items that were correct or the shipping fee for the correct item. One other thing is to make sure you provide tracking information on the stuff you send back, so there is a way to verify that the items made it back to the seller. If you make a claim for a refund it is only fair to send the items back to the seller at least, so I would not give away the wrong items that you received." Yes in theory I believe your points are valid. Though I just don't want to send it back unless it's my last option. I don't believe in paying up for some one else's mistake. If my girlfriend actually does get her refund on a claim - I'm still hesitant to return it back to the seller. I understand on a moral stand point you are right. I should not give it away. However I still feel reluctant to do any favors for a man who carelessly waste other people's time and money on dealing with these problems. I'll temporarily hold on to this useless item as collateral and or compensation for wasting my time trying to solve this issue. Thank you for your response Loop. You shed a bit more light on this seller for me and also gave me some sound advice, although I may or may not follow up with it. Cheers
Isamu Dyson
I'll take it Hey Anime After reading Loop's response. I'll be playing my cards carefully. xstoys
I also want to slap Over-Drive on the Blacklist! I've had a Hikaru Motorcycle helmet on order paid via Paypal since November 2009. After @ 50 e-mails, not one response & NO product! I have even asked others to contact them on my behalf, but still nothing... just the runaround! They used to be great in service, but those days are over!!! Ok, if you've been checking out the "WHAT'S CURRENTLY SHIPPING OR SHIPPING ISSUES..." in the Toys section, you might have noticed I've been having issues with OVERDRIVE. I gotta put in a thumbs down vote for these twits. In a nutshell: Ordered all three Macross Frontier Ichiban Kuji statues from their site (Ranka, Sheryl, Klan). Paid for them and EMS shipping. Got all the automated emails detailing the transaction. Got the EMS tracking number which turned out to be bogus. It would come up as non-recognized by the Japan Post site and USPS.com. So, long story short (my message to Paypal as I escalated this situation to a claim): This is unfortunate as I had ordered from them in the past with no problems. On the flipside, did a first time purchase from HLJ.com. This is how online toy shopping should be! They communicated (even if it was auto-generated) via email all the way and sent out my VF-1D with a quickness! FedEx got the toy from Japan to Houston in 2 days! I'm hooked! So yeah, BOOOO on Overdrive! Think twice before you get tempted by their cheap prices, lest you get OVERDRIVED like I did.

Isamu Dyson
I do see the people at Treasure Island every Saturday at franks. Anything I can help you with? Thanks for the offer Nano but it's been done. They will be getting a nice surprise pretty soon. I just hope it will make them look at operating a business in a more honest way or else it will cost them dearly. After hours of investigating their lack of credibility, I am surprised people still purchase from them. Of course it would be easier to settle matters locally. How is your experience with them? I am very interested in any details regarding their staff, service and the owner. If they are friends of yours - I'm sorry to say I did offer a reasonable way to settle but they didn't accept so with warning I went all the way. Oh there is one thing you could do for me if you don't mind. Next time you drop in could you confirm if they really do have a VF-25F Alto Tornado MISB in stock??? For some reason I just feel like they didn't have it in stock and just substitute another item for it to push off the sale. Cheers

Isamu Dyson
Thanks to all you guys who checked it out for me. If he didn't have it - We would be upset for them to sell an item not in stock. If they did have it - We would have felt cheated for a push sale/return scam. Either way wouldn't feel good. Best way is to just send the proper item in the first place or at least an apology and free shipping back. We really appreciate all those who actually went by to take a look, take a picture and also followed up to our post. Thank you guys and gals! As far as Treasure Island goes for me: 1. For those living in that area I would definitely double check the condition of the package and the interior before buying. 2. For those ordering online from them - Trust me when I say - Don't even bother, not even worth it. Just google them and you will see. Oh yeah, here is what I got. Seriously, the guys there at Tisic99 are real a$$holes. I asked them if they would consider lowering their outrageous prices and to be competitive, and their answer was, "We can't do that we have to match the yen rate" and they also told me rather rudely, "tomorrow that piece go up from $125 to $150 you still get deal...hahahah..." So if you pre-order something they can charge it as soon as they need to without confirmation. Hope that helps. jenius
Ugh, you can't nominate people for shipping costs... it doesn't make sense. Especially on eBay, 99% of the time the shipping cost is listed in the auction... if you don't agree with the shipping cost you simply don't bid on the item (or you bid a bit less to make up for the extra amount you'll be paying for shipping). Same on Macrossworld. Someone just asked me to pay $45 to have an item shipped from Texas to CA. I simply said "no thank you." The end. If I was willing to pay that much for shipping then that's on me, not on the other guy for asking that much. Maybe he makes $100 an hour and had to take a half hour off work to ship the package. Whatever the case, the price of shipping shouldn't be a black-listable offense, poor packaging, delayed shipping, etc. should get a person on the BL. I am not going to reedit and make a mexican soap-opera that your are talking about. You could answer my PM just ... I am not expecting you to sell it to me ... just wanna correct my judgment.... And yet there we have a Mr ******* who has “overpriced shipping costs" so the whole “regretted” thing is just bull. To sum it up: - You placed your bid 8 hours before the item ended on an item worth 159USD+48USD shipping & HANDLING but NEVER contacted me in that time about the shipping. - Item ends and THEN you start asking for cheaper shipping. - So ok, I lowered the shipping to 40 USD and send you the new invoice. - You said you had a relative in Malaga, Spain. Told you I could send it there even cheaper and ASKED if you could pay by bank transfer since you had family there. Turns out you didn’t express yourself correctly and have no family there now. - You still felt like telling me what is the shipping & HANDLING cost. Ok, lets enter Mr. Marcelo's magic Ebay where the buyer can bid and then change the shipping as he feels like it. HLJ sites 980 grams size 32,50 x 28 x 11 cm. That is JUST THE BOX OF THE VT-1, not packed in a shipping parcel. http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00126 If you don’t believe it here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=35417 Exact to the millimetre and gram. International Certified Letter to Switzerland for 980 gr is 14,55€ (20,76 USD by xe.com yesterdays exchange). That is the cheapest form that can be tracked (and boy do I need to cover my ass with a buyer such as you). BUT that is a naked box with NOT even a sticker with your address. That stuff ads WEIGHT. Furthermore, the post office does not permit boxes filled with pictures and word (“publicity” they call it); you have to cover that up. That adds more weight. Since you love post office websites so much, enter 1001 grams on that shipping method. We now go to 22,10 € (31,53 USD)for JUST 21 GRAMS thanks to Spains über expensive mail system . BTW, that is 1,53 USD more than what you feel… sorry… what you suppose you should pay for shipping & handling. In other words, I would need to devise a way to create a packing system that both weights just 20 grams (that’s 0,704 ounces folks) but also protects the contents. And I need to protect the contents of an item I sold as NEW “NEVER taken out of its box”. Specially if I’m dealing with some weird guy that demands a lower shipping because he feels he is above Ebay. So no way can we ship it under 1001 grams. So, just to ship: 31,53 USD. But ok, fine 159 USD + 30 USD like you say. Totals 189 USD… just like you wanted… but the post office does not pick up the package for me, and does not pack it for me, and does not put your shipping info on it for me… that takes TIME and time is money and I don’t feel like doing all that after all the time you have made me waste. You talked about “honor the ebay deal” when you came busting my sale thread but: - I stated that payment should be received within 4 days. That was on July 30th, now it’s August 8th. - You did not pay what you committed to pay when you bid on Ebay. - You did not pay when I lowered the shipping to 40USD even though I didn’t even have to. - You haven’t paid now and say crap like you “can’t find” the invoice with the lower shipping. - You EVEN declined the cancellation I provided. So, you are “not expecting” that I will sell you the VT-1? By now you should know I'm not selling to you anything, anytime anywhere. Not now, not EVER. There was no argument on ebay ... the argument started here on MW. take care Ps.: Sorry Mr Moderator ... I promise I am not posting anymore regarding this issue. An argument you started about a thing you did not own to begin with because you didn't pay in the specified time . You had your cheaper invoice, you don’t pay in time = the item is not yours. After that, I don't have to come to an agreement on Ebay because you feel like it. I actually wrote 98% of the above before the thread got closed yesterday. Just hope that people learn what a crazy guy you are and avoid doing business with Macrossworld member: Marcelo with Ebay name: mszanetti BTW, I think that a black list and a straight shooters list of buyers would be helpful. I now see that with people like that Marcelo around, we need to know if we are wasting time when negotiating with a potential buyer here. =================== Edit to further my argument: With a troublesome individuals like the one above, with their dirty ways of “negotiating”, how can we be sure that they won’t go around saying that they got ripped in some way or other after we ship something to them? In some cases, Paypal favours the buyer very easily, and there are stories all around the web about ways to scam sellers. So a way to be on the look out for potential crazies would benefit the MW community IMO. Edited August 8, 2011 by Twoducks

Hyperion728
Well I guess everyone has a first report to the BlackList so here's mine. Transleader2010 from Ebay (Chile) - watch out for this guy. He bids on and wins a 1/100 VF-2SS. I send an invoice within minutes of the auction ending. I send another one four days later after no response. He sends me this; "Mr to seller you to send the same Invoice insist that the shipment cost is very high, please to secure the real cost, are buying of Ebay by but of 6 years and to know the costs shipment the item has a slight weight the cost must be but low, I wait for the new Invoice, thanks." Keep in mind he never asked for a shipping quote before winning. I send him a very polite explanation of USPS, it has a dimension over 30cm so it's a large package yadda yadda. I send him the exact measurements and weight of his package and recommend he try the USPS.com site to try and find a better deal. Just in case he is retarded I go to the site, fill out all the information, and copy the link to his specific package quote in the Email. I checked the link to make sure it worked. Days go by - no reply. I open a case with Ebay to recover my fees. A week goes by and my "second wave" of sales reaches an end. I was very busy and didn't notice until the last day that he's bidding on another model. I send him an inquiry and he replies with "I got sellers mixed up - sorry". Ok, stuff happens. He wins, I send an invoice, no reply. Three days go by and I notice that he's bidding on the same model that he previously refused to pay for (it was a couple days behind the others because of all the BS involved with getting my fees back). Ok, maybe he won't win. He wins. Ok, so now I gotta unpack the first model and combine it in a new box with the other one. I send him an Email saying "I'll have your invoice tonight". He acknowledges, I send the invoice (which, this if funny - comes to the exact same price as before), that was four days ago, this guy can suck penguin farts. I love my international Macross peers but sometimes it really makes me wonder if it's worth it. P.S. Anyone know if I can nail him with negative FB without getting retaliated against? EXO
I always put no International bidders/US only on all my auctions. People know here on MW that I dont' mind shipping international but when it comes to ebay, people are such a-holes. If someone from out of the country wants to buy from me they can email me and I usually jack up the shipping on purpose because I can ship from home if it's domestic US. But they probably won't want to pay for Prority and that means I have to go to the PO just to find out if they ship to a certain place and how much it would be. Which also means I have to bring the package because they have to weigh it. No matter what, I charge one and a half times if priority and chalk it up to handling fees. If they don't like it, they can F themselves because as international bidders they should have never been looking at my auctions to begin with. Ebay can't say anything negative about you because you specifically stated US only. And I know you're in the US because I just recently sent you stuff. nightmareB4macross
I hate to do this to another MWer on this board but...I nominate JEXPRIME. Everything started off well, until I got my items in the mail. Communication was slow with this seller. Here it is in a nutshell: "First and foremost I feel for you and your family's current situation and hope you have a speedy recovery from your current status. The options you are presenting are not all fair. How can you offer a partial refund and expect me to wait until September to correct this situtation? Or even wait until the end of August to recieve the rest of the items? The fact(s) of the matter are; - you purposely held off on sending me the complete items I paid for. - expected me to overlook the condition and incompleteness of the items. - anticipated an issue, so you decided to cross-over a business transaction, with personal matters to buy more time for yourself. - by me sending the items back to you they will arrive at your former address which you relenquished reponsibility of. - I will be losing money having to ship these items back to you. Look, the way I see it (and I truly hope you understand), at this point I can't trust your sales practices and I am completely flat-out refusing your offers. HERE IS MY SOLUTION, send me a refund to acquire the missing parts for all four valkyries and the two strike/super packs. After all is said and done, I have to now spend my time and effort to complete these items, when they should have arrived this way in the first place. The justified refund expected is $100.00 for the entire shipment. This is not negotiable, and believe me, more than fair to you." There is plenty more to this story, but I'm sure you get the jist of it. This was a month ago. to this day I have yet to receive full refund, as Kelvin (aka: JEXPRIME), and I had previously agreed. The seller has gone MIA and now I am forced to file a fraud claim with the USPS. I just hope nobody else gets/got burned by this seller. Oh well, live and learn. ae_productions
Sellers can no longer leave Negative feedback. Buyers can extort you (the e in eBay is for "extortion"). Buyers can leave YOU negative feedback. As a seller, eBay does not give a shyt about you. Please note, eBay is now taking a % of your shipping money, on top of all the other money they and Pay Pal ( same company ) are taking from you. Also, if you use Pay Pal to print a shipping label, guess what? They are not taking a % of that too. Kindly note to the buyer that the shipping was listed on the auction page PRIOR to his bidding. Also note your shipping includes a handling fee, as well as the NEW eBay fees. (Explain to him that eBay now takes $$ from you for shipping). If he does NOT pay, go to the Resolution center. File a complaint against him for not paying. You can only do this after 8 days. 4 days after you open the case, if he has not paid, you can close the case. Then you can relist the item without eBay charging you twice for listing.
