no where near as cool as a $15 cyclone, especially since they are boots. I had to replace the pair of boots I sold for $60 locally though so I thought it was worth it.

also... I won this for Deimos a few weeks back... not that great a deal but the seller sent an extra one to make up for a shipping delay and I thought the item was pretty funny. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

  • 3 weeks later...

you just had to put everything in this thread up to now to shame... didn't you  . So far your the winner of kanata's cheapskate award as that was an even better deal than my $25 boxed bandai strike

Heck... I might just have to give out an prize at the end of the year for whomever scores the most mindblowing deal. I'm a cheapskate though so don't expect anything that good

I never got around to adding pics of that $10.00 Cyclone that I won on eBay, so here ya go!  :)

First, the auction link:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

I think you still got the better deal on the strike because if you think about it, the strike is actually worth more than the cyclone. ;):D:p:lol:

C'mon pat, you remember that strike. It might have been complete in box but it sure wasn't mint  . Good thing the guy threw in the loose jetfire and two mib hcm gundam's for $30 to make up for it

oh yeah, that one. haha. I remember that. But still, the armor is waay worth it. But from the pictures the armor looks to be recast? Or did the guy just paint the armor?

armor was complete original. It's possible the pic I showed had jesse's resin armor in the box though. I ended up using it to complete my supposedly mib strike, almost completing my second strike [weren't you supposed to be finding me a missle cluster and arm armor elbow piece? ] and providing inserts for my third boxed strike which has a "hi-metal" 1a instead of a 1s in the box for obvious reasons. Or maybe the inserts went to a jetfire box, I forget. Salvagable parts were removed from the valk and used as transplants for patients that might survive and the rest will one day get an infusion of spawn parts and resurrected in some twisted form... or maybe it already did... I should clean that room

haha, nice. You should customize that messed up valk into a battle damaged valk. That'd be sweet. :D:p:lol:

Hmmm... got me a Cannon Fodder Vf-1A 1/60 for 22.90 off ebay Mib.

But the idiot seller just wrapped it in brown paper and shipped it off.

No box nothing. Thank God the valk is ok. Box is ........ screwed.

There are so many IDIOTS out there when it comes to packageing. Ive had stuff turn up in a supermarket grocery bag with stamps on it, of cause the contents were totally messed up. My best experiances are from those sending stuff from Asia. Its always excellently wrapped and only tends to get dammaged by Parcel Force (read Parcel Farce) the parcel service for the Royal Mail (they tend to get all EMS) They have a completly crap record and employ only the most stupid to work for them. Everytime I order something that comes EMS I have to ask the seller to pack it extra well as it will need the protection. Recently there was a case where employees were filmed playing Scoccer with a parcel at the depot. They truly are crap.

Its anoying whren you pay for MIB and all you get is near mint almost in box.

I am from Singapore and my experience with Asian sellers actually vary quite widely.

I have great faith in anything shipped out of Japan, but the packing standard from Hong Kong sellers vary quite widely. You would do yourself some favor if you tell them specifically that you want the item to be put in a bigger outer shipping box, with packing peanuts or bubble wrap between the item and the box, or they may just stuff it into the smallest possible box they can find, use the bare min of insulating material, and throw it in the mail. Singapore sellers, heh, I take pride in packing well when I sell in eBay.

I alway think when Im selling on eBay, how would I want to se this package arrive. Yes the buyer may have to pay alittle more for postage but atleast they get the item in a neat container and unbroken. Yes your right Japan has the best record IMO for packing, unless your buying from a gaijin then well som you win some you loose.

Is this a good buy? I saw it but passed it up because I don't know squat about JMs, next thing I knew, it was taken.

JM Max Sterling

wisdom comes from experiece. i've overpaid on a number of things in my opinion. Thankfully so did the people I resold them to. . I would have picked up a boxed jm for $50 as I have no boxed ones and would like one. I'm still focusing on the few 1/55's I don't have yet though so I don't pay as much attention to other stuff, else I would have spotted the affordible cyclones.

Finally picked up a mint set of these bookends to round out my collection. Although the MPCs are inferior, I gotta have 'em all.... the 1/60s, 1/55s and the 1/48s. I picked up a set a few months ago, without the box, only to have them show up with the Regult's legs both busted :o .

He also had all 6 volumes, and the 3 appendixes for $220. I e-mailed him to find out the condition, and someone swooped in and picked them up. Of course then I get the reply that they were never removed from the boxes. With the rediculous prices the Max/Millia armors alone are fetching I could have made a few $$ off flipping that lot on Ebay....... <_< .

yippie... finally won a matsu 1j from ewilen "Matsushiro 1/55 VF-1J Macross/Robotech/Transformers

missing link from Macross to Jetfire Item number: 320024057761"

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...N%3AIT&rd=1

that leaves me needing three vf's to have them all and less than six boxed to have all of the boxed. anybody have a scan of the matsu 1j instruction manual as ewilen didn't have one.

I also scored "Macross Robotech Takatoku VF-1S GBP 1S 1/55 Valkyrie Item number: 320016482717"

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...N%3AIT&rd=1

why can't I get the same deal on a 90 super, seeker, and O minus the vf but with the armor :( At least my loose gbp is no longer loose. I could also use scans of these directions ;)

and then there was this... I hope the seller comes through because I really want my vf-15

Japanese Transforming Valkyre VF-15 Item number: 130025661978

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...N%3AIT&rd=1

I'm optamistic as I paid via paypal so I can only hope the seller comes through...
