ntsan
So while still torn on which Valkyries to get I managed to win this one at good price http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=320310816272 It was offered $50 buy now originally, but some dumbass decide to bid on it *arhh*, but good thing is the price is not too high There was also a bootleg 1/3000 sdf-1 sold for US$51, too bad that guy won't ship overseas Edited October 22, 2008 by ntsan
BoBe-Patt
hmm..... I don't think I would've paid that much for an SDF-1 that's that yellowed. I just won this a few weeks ago: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=330270013710 that's nice n white and in a box and it was actually only 8 dollar shipping so the guy refunded me 10 bucks! what a swell guy! Yeah you US guys are lucky, consider some good condition ones they only sell to US only! (what a %#@%@$ crap) If that one was shipping to worldwide, I bet the price would be well over $100s the other one I won is 2 toynami 1/100 valks for $25 (35% off sale), not bad consider they usually sell that price for 1 of them (or sell them cheap but charge more for postage) Edited October 22, 2008 by ntsan

Not bad. A while ago (about two months) I purchased a really nice white and minty, boxed, SDF-1 in a lot of toys. The total purchase price was $200.00/USD. The lot was composed of the SDF-1, Go-Lion (all metal bodies), and a DX Bioman. I kept the SDF-1 and gave the other two items to my friend to sell since he was in dire need of money. He sold the two items for about $400.00/USD combined and sent me $100.00 for helping him out. So, basically, I purchased the SDF-1 for $100.00 shipped and helped out a friend, priceless. Texan29
Hey guys! Was this a good deal?? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=250304698307 Somebody was smoking crack!
BoBe-Patt
hell no that is not a good deal. Those things were terrible and very fragile. I only paid 4 bucks for mine back in the day. I had to keep going back to buy another since they kept on breaking! To me those are worth 10 bucks the most. Had I known people would pay ridiculous amount of money for these, I would've bought more, or kept mine mint in box to sell!

There's a comic store here in Mesquite, Lonestar Comics where I bought two of the little ones for $10 apiece in the early 90's. I still have them in perfect condition in the boxes. I love these little things. Yeah they're very flimsy but it was the first "robotech" toy I got as a kid so they're nostalgic for me.

Texan29
pics Wow! That thing is really nice and clean! When I was a kid, there was a store in the DFW area (Dallas-FtWorth) called Texas drug. They had a STACK of these matchbox SDF-1's for $15 apiece! I got one while on a shopping trip with my grandparents. By the time I got home later that weekend and told my mother, we went back Monday evening and they were all gone. I love these toys, very cool. speedracex
thanks, yeah I was shocked, i mean as you can see by the auction listing, there was really no description, so it was a gamble, and opening it and seeing a dead mint piece, in a C8 or so box. I wont be displaying this one, in box I will, but not out

ntsan
The unboxed SDF-1 is plunging in prices, while boxed one still sell for over US$100s http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=390005405309 So if you want a cheap 1/3000 SDF-1 now is the time to look for one! jenius
Fake is too harsh a word. I suspect it's a very good reproduction. Don't worry, it's such a good reproduction that essentially no one will ever know.

jenius
It all done by the same factory contracted by Yamato, so it is the same nevertheless Honestly, we don't know that. We don't really KNOW anything about them. Just that some were available through unauthorzed means. I don't even know if all the legit ones had matte finished slips or if just the ones at the show had matte finished ones and the mail order ones had glossy slips. If the mail order ones were glossy than it's possible that these are totally legit pieces that did just sneak out a back door at the Chinese factory.
