Wait, this is the SHE version? I kind of suspected, but is this a new sculpt, then? Or just a recast of their old old OOOOLD resin kit? (https://hlj.com/product/SHE024) Is this even a release at all and not just pulling up some pics on a boring afternoon?

Is it perhaps the 2010 Tamashii x SHE toy that never saw a release (as far as I'm aware)? http://news.toyark.com/2010/10/01/tamashii-nations-x-studio-half-eye-escaflowne-3328

See, this is why I want to ignore it until more info comes in. NOW I'M SUSPICIOUS AS frakk

It looks a bit different than the SHE, with some screws hidden.

But I always thought that the SHE and Tamashii were the same version??

Personally, i love my Yamato version, although I know it gets a lot of hate. I think people just misunderstood it, and it was ahead of its time.

Mine is tight in both forms, and made of high quality plastic. Classic Yamato quality.

People complained it was floppy during transformation: Of course it is. Look at all the valks we have had since. They're a mess during transformation and you need about 3 hands to get them anywhere.

You might be right. The SHE served as the basis for the Yamato toy, that's about the extent of my knowledge. Though WHICH SHE version is unknown. I thought that SHE made an earlier, mid-90s kit before the 2000s release, and it seems I was right.

And of course there were the non-transformable kits.

As much as I'd like one, I'll stick to my Yamato. It was USD 20 back in the day.

Always planned to tailor make a cape for it. So now is the time.

It still seems reasonably sizable, though. Is it a resin toy? Did SHE move to plastic materials? Those parts look like plastic.

God, it looks sooo good. I'd change up the size and proportions of some areas if I had one, but man do I want one. It's just such a shame about that price.

Pre-order up

Color injected resin mold. Completed version ("partially painted") and kit.

I wonder how hard it is to complete the kit.
