Chas
Hey, any of you folks know how I could get my hands on a couple of sets of these?.
Valk009
They are still available in some shops but the prices have already been raised
Mechleader
Why? It's just a different color. You have to paint over it anyway.
Chas
Mechleader, I'm not sure what it is that you are asking. It is precisely because they are a different colour that I want them. And what's this about painting over them? I going to clear-coat over them yes but I don't know what you mean by 'P-a-i-n-t' over them. Is there some way to change the colour by painting over them? Please expand on your post. Thanks.
Valk009
What Mechlander means by "paint over them" is that after preparing the kit, there will be putty, sanded bits etc. on the valk. So, in order to get a decent result on your model, you will need to prime the entire kit and paint it again in the colour you wish, in this case grey; hence no need to get especially the Low Vis kit, unless you are after the artwork on the box, a collector or the decals
Mechleader
Right...thats what I mean. Sorry for teh confusion. I know the decals are different but as for the plastic kit itself...it makes no difference. Just like the Minmay Hase Batt. You are pretty much buying it for the cover art and the decals. The kit itself is the same.
Chas
O.K. Now I see where the confusion lies. Perhaps I was not specific enough in my initial post. What I am looking for is the decal set for the 1/72 Hase. Low-Vis kit I do not need the entire thing just the decal set. (pref. 2 sets but I think I might be dreaming there.) So anyone ever see these autioned/for sale seperately? Or anyone know how/where I could get a custom set made ?If ya do please PM me or respond here. Thanks. Charles. Valk009
Hey Charles, I know that you can order individula parts of Gundam kits through HLJ, so maybe they also have this service extended through to the Hasegawa line Otherwise, unless another person is willing to just sell you the decals or you are able to get your hands on the kit for cheap, there is pretty much no way. Sometimes at conventions, Hasegawa do just sell the decals on its own as this is how I got a couple sets of the Minmay Guard decals but this is very rare. Chas
Thanks Valk009. I was wondering about trying HLJ. I guess It's worth a shot, but as the kit is discontinued I doubt I'll have much luck thanks anyway. Charles
Valk009
Hey, if you really want one in original I might be able to help! Otherwise you can also try our decal master here on the web anasazi (aka Devin), I know he did the Low Vis decals for the 1/48 and possibly the 1/55, so he should be able to get a 1/72 made up for you, as he would have needed an original set to start with in the first place! Chas
I don't need an ORIGINAL set really. I just want a set with the same colour scheme as the Low-Vis (namely grey - not the garish RED, YELLOW, BLUE themes. ) I'll give anasazi (aka Devin)a try. Thanks so much for your kind and thoughtful help if this works out you will have helped to make me a very happy person!
