Anybody dealt with Banthatrader?

Recommended Posts

Godzilla,

Banthatrader ships really fast.

Just make sure you read the description of the item carefully. I purchased an item from him a while back. He stated slightly damaged packaging, but it seemed that it was damaged because it was stuffed into a box that was too small to accomodate the actual packaging of the item.

Still, he did imply it was damaged. I did not pursue the issue, as I was mainly interested in the content and not the packaging.

I would recommend him.

Thanks for the feedback on this guy. It is that I found my Alpha missing chunks of rubber tires and he didnt respond to me for awhile till I wrote a polite yet unsatified customer. He resonded back. I get to return one of the Rook Alphas I bought from him.

OK, here are my thoughts on Banthatrader/Digital-Toys/banthatrad@aol.com

I've bought quite a couple of things from him, both off his website and also from his eBay auctions. His shipping speed is quite erratic. Sometimes he ships really fast, sometimes painfully slow. At times he replies emails quickly, at times he disappears for days on end.

The positive thing is, however, he ALWAYS delivers in the end, no matter how long he takes. It helps that I googled him and found out that his real name is "Mike P. Stefanik" and that he lives in Westfield, MA. I actually have his home address (not just the P.O. Box one) and so we can go hunt him down together if he DOES cheat you of your money.

He has a return policy - I've returned a Transformer Alternators to him before, in exchange for a VF-1A Brown "Cannon Fodder". That particular return took about 1-2 weeks, which, by Banthatrader's standards, is average.

The man does sell things cheap though. His prices are really competitive. So, if you're a cheapskate like me, and don't mind a bit of waiting, Digital-Toys is an OK choice. He does give UPS tracking after all, so you won't have to worry much in the interim. And he has packaged my goods pretty OK, though maybe you should note the concerns of other MWers above.

If he'd only make his website look less dodgy, he might have more business!
