Did they release a Guyver 1? If not, I'm confused. Who would buy a Guyver 3 with no 1 to go with it?

there was a guyver one but it was made by a different company. I think max factory will be making all three guyvers. I can't wait till those reissued guyver 3's to come in! :p:lol:

There has never been a real Guyver 1 "action-figure," like the current Guyver 3 figure from Max Factory; only Guyver vinyl kits in 6" & 12" forms. The sculpts are based on their existing Max Factory vinyl models, but they recently decided to capitalize on the action-figure popularity & turn their old molds into posable action-figures. Earlier this year there was also a recent 1/6 scale prepainted & assembled release of a Guyver 1 with comic book. Nice to look at but not very posable.

Max Factory is the the original company who put out the vinyl kits over the last several years, but Guyver 3 is the first fully posable Guyver "action-figure" they have produced. The vinyl kits have been knocked off by many different companies over the years. The original Max factory vinyl kits came in both 1/6 & 1/12 scales of all the different Guyvers & several of the monsters.

Along with the Guyver 3 action-figure released, they are also releasing some of the monster Zoanoids. "Murakami" Zoalord is the next release in action-figure form; then 2 different sets of pre-painted & carded Zoanoids in soft vinyl with limiited posability.

But just to clarify, Max Factory is the only liscensed "Guyver" vinyl & action-figure out there on the market. All others are bootlegs.

A new Guyver one model was released sometime around april with a special editon Guyver book 21 in Japan. though it is not on scale with that model of Guyver 3. Like said before Maxfactory released the orginal models run soem 10 odd years ago with collector cards and some with comics.

So far we've seen a number of new Guyver models including Zoalord Gyro (Guyot) with a unit remover and the new evil form of Aptom and Zoalord Shizu shown at Wonderfest (if Noel has pics of them would be cool, have seen some others). Guyver 1 and Guyver 2 are meant to be coming out on scale with Guyver 3 sometime next year juding on the prototype pics I've seen.

The above topic on the message board on my site has more info if your interested. Also http://www.maxfactory.jp/ would be another good site to visit, though reading it is a pain as it is all in Japanese <_< .
