That's like telling a crack addict that they're not gonna make anymore.

No crack for you! One Year!

Seriously people - next it'll be the 1J's everybody's clamoring over. Save yourself the headache and buy them now. Because they'll seem really, really, really cool when they're overpriced. ;)

so true... I mean, people wouldn't be asking for dinosaurs if they were still around... :p;)

Waddayamean man, there are plenty of new non-same sex porn materials since teh beginning of time... we just kept asking for more! Even IF they do any reruns, we'd still lap it all up.

And to think Vanpang was trying to get me a Hikaru VF-1S in s'pore. We communicated through SMS and he saw one for a resonable price. But he went to the other shops to see if there were better deals. About 30 minutes later when he said there weren't any more, went back to that shop and lo and behold it was gone.

Tough luck for me. :(

Moral lesson of the day. Downloading porn thru the internet is never the same as getting the same thing on DVD. :D

Well, I finally just decided to bite the bullet and finally order my VF-1S Hikaru ($139) before tisinc reads this and raises his price another $20.

The Roy is going for $220 there now! :o

Not complaining. He's got 'em and nobody else does. But wow.

I'll now have one of each except Milia. I sold off all my duplicates a few months ago.

I'd still like to have another Roy. But I guess that'll have to wait for a possible re-release. It doesn't sound like Yamato has completely ruled it out. It also sounds like they are aware that there is at least some demand for them.

Guess they figured they saturated the market, so they'll let the demand build for a while before releasing more and swimming in the new cash surge.

I STILL WANT MY CF DAMMIT.

I wonder how much the fast pack kits are going to go for once the valk prices go through the roof.

Well, I think them mentioning it in the newsletter means they've received many inquiries about a re-release. So they know there's a demand for it. I think it is only a matter of time before they do another production run. The only reason they wouldn't is if they think they can't sell the whole run or they are waiting to sell more of the available 1/48s first before they release more.

Either way, I think it is only a matter of time before we see more VF-1S's.

Amen brother!

From your keyboard to God's ears!

I'm not saying it's certain. But I think this could actually be considered encouraging news. Until now, we had no indication that the idea had even occured to Yamato. This little item shows that they are aware of (perhaps growing) demand.

We can only hope for those 1S-less people out there. :)

If Yamato is smart they'll wait 2-3 years for another re-release

that way even the ones who completed might think of picking up

the early 1A's with the improvements, not to mention the occasional cat/kid

catastrophy

I see a larger market te moment a new series starts anyway

Darn, now I will never be able to afford the VF-1S. :(

Ugh, it's attitude like that that will make people sell theirs to take advantage of the frenzy...

I mean, I might have an extra one for the right price... PM me if interested...

This is exactly what I told myself would happen in order to justify my multitude of 1/48 purchases. I don't regret it one bit.

...but I still want more VF-1s. I know everyone is sick of 'em, but I want every single one ever conceived in 1/48. Until then, my collection is incomplete.

Don't sweat the announcment man. They've been sold out long before the announcement. The only place you can really get one reliably is TISINC99.COM at an $85 markup. So. . . well, this announcement is in response to that sort of thing. . . not the cause of it.

Anime Castle still has Roy in stock for $150. Ver. 1 most likely. Edited by Anubis

I'm still hoping Yamato will eventually release a Max VF-1S.  It's just a simple repaint.  That and the VF-1A Max TV I am waiting forever for someone to release.

I would so be on board...and the CF too... and an out of the box Kakizaki (DYRL? or otherwise). Now I'm going all fan-boy.

As others have mentioned, Yamato might just be taking a breather from the 1/48 line, not only to concentrate on other projects, but to unsaturate the market a little bit. Send out the newsletter to tell us all what we pretty much already knew and then watch the supply/demand ratio shift. Then, when and if the next release hits, people will be ready to pimp themselves out for a quick 1/48 fix.

Got one as well, used for about 100$ from TOYCHASER. Had a broken piece on it.. somewhere. The fact that I neither know what that piece was or do I care tells me all will be well. Just glad I have one and don't have to fiend after one when this hits the fan.
