fearyaks
So the quote below was from 'Die, Alien Scum'.... I was checking out some eBay cats today and saw some great deals. Was thinking of pulling the trigger until I noticed the username. Most of the junk he's got + feedback on is small-ticket ($10-$20) items too. His auctions Buyer Beware... Hello all. I'm a new member, but I've been a lurker for some time now. This is my first post, and unfortunately it's going into this topic. Fortunately, it doesn't involve a MW member (to the best of my knowledge).I must nominate the eBay seller "collector1118" for the Blacklist. This seller is only recently unregistered with eBay, so luckily he cannot attempt to defraud anyone else with this ID. However, he is still going by "johnthomas1951" and he may try his scam again. I had the poor luck of trying to buy some Yamato 1/48s from him and almost ended up losing a great deal of money. His real name appears to be Alex Medina and he has a reputation for taking money and not sending items. This loser will not respond to any phone calls or e-mails, but he will e-mail you the occasional BS story about shipping delays, mis-shipped items, or some other crap. After weeks of unsuccessful communication attempts, I ended up having to deal with his mother. She goes by Kathleen Snook, and she shared the "collector1118" ID with Alex. She was less than helpful until I was forced to threaten both of them with legal action. Then, and only then, did she issue me a full refund. In all it took me over a month of near-harassment to get back my money and it became the biggest hassle I've ever had to deal with. You'd all be able to read my negative feedback for this jackass, but he cancelled the ID before I could leave any. As "johnthomas1951", Alex has only sold one 1/48. I contacted the buyer to warn him he may lose his money, but he actually did receive his Miria Super. He expressed to me that it wasn't MISB, as stated in the auction, but it appeared to be in near-perfect condition. He said he was just happy to actually receive his item and left postive feedback for the seller. Anyway, I just wanted to warn you all before you get involved with this fool. Thanks for your time and sorry for the long post.

Jolly Rogers
Jackass wants $420 bin/starting bid for the low-vis? Why isn't mechajerk in jail yet? Because nobody went after him actively. Even the ones that actually got ripped off by him. I thought Godzilla was quietly gathering evidence but haven't heard any updates from him for a while. EXO
Godzilla worked really hard on getting the guy, unfortunately he was cut off from all sides. The case wasn't big enough for him to get help and since mostly everyone got their money back from their credit card company, he lacked the support from the people that were also scammed. I don't know if he's still doing anything about it.
CID
I guess I am going to post it on here for those who are interested: Alex and Peter Medina are one of the same or at least co-conspirators. They been using those names intercahngeablly for ages. As for those few that were screw on this board. They have to take the initiative to report to appropriate agencies. However, as in real life, once they see refund or no longer victims, it is hard to have those individuals to take any steps (Receiving refunds). As for Die scum alien or something, I would suggest at least reporting it to FTC site or what ever fraud site you might want to report. Yes, you might not see "Justice" right away, espicially in the big city (NY, LA, Etc). However, your report may bcome one more great leads that will end this idiotic activity. The guys you are dealing with is not sophisticated individuals. They are probably 19-25 year old high school drop outs or blue collar workers that are trying to make few quick bucks. Eventually, their greed will catch up to their risk and then .... I seen many men cry like babies. Anyways, if victims are in it for just their own retrun, justice will probably never previle. if you want to do someethink for future incidents, take steps. Typing fast before going to sleep, pardon me for SP mistakes and grammers....
Die, Alien Scum!
Recently a buyer named "simikon" bought a VF-11B from this seller and had a negative experience. I contacted him and let him know what was up, that "collector1118" and "johnthomas1951" are likely the same guy. He asked me for any information that may be helpful, so I gave him every phone number, home address, and e-mail address I accumulated during my dealing with "collector1118". I also gave him the mother's information since he'll probably need to contact her, as well. I also told him that he should ask eBay to investigate immediately before the seller bolts to another ID. EBay would do nothing in my case because Alex cancelled the "collector1118" ID, but since I got my money back, I don't care. However, I have made it my personal mission to keep a keen eye on this loser's transactions. I have been trying to help any and all others who got shafted by this jerk since before he started exclusively using "johnthomas1951". I've got some vacation time in a couple weeks and I may go to Florida and find him so we can play a fun game of "The Cattle-prod Doesn't Go Up There" before I leave him in the Everglades to frolick with the alligators. But that's just me; I'm mean to people who mess with me, especially when money is involved. If anyone here needs a hand in dealing with this idiot, please feel free to contact me. Hopefully we'll all avoid him and get our goodies from other, more trust-worthy sources.

Die, Alien Scum!
macrossrevge cute lol The bidder "macrossrevge" is likely the same person as "misaly". This is the friend of one of Alex's other victims. He's probably just screwing with Alex and would never pay, since he's bid on the two most expensive items. Using "misaly" he tried the same thing with "collector1118", but Alex cancelled his bids due to a -1 feedback rating. I, of course, e-mailed "macrossrevge" to warn him, just in case he's actually a potential buyer. But I imagine he won't buy the items. Why bother to bid when it's the same price as Buy It Now? The only other option is it's Alex doing a little shill-bidding. And scand, I used collector1118@bellsouth.net to pay via PayPal. The account was verified and at the time I purchased my items, the "collector1118" had only one negative feedback. Of course after I paid, the others negatives got posted. JT70
hey This is john thomas here. I have bought stuff from several people here on this site... haterist, evilporkchop, and wray should have his money order by now. I saw all the stuff going on and would not attempt to sell anything on this forum since I could not get what I wanted for the item and I live in florida. I am no way collector1118. and if you want I can check into him. even roll by his house. but I will not get to involved with something that did not involve me but i will help. I just want to do legitimate business. And for this simkin guy I will be more than willing to send you any info or emails to you to prove he got his item in the condition stated in the auction. He jumped the gun and left negative without even contacting me. He said there was a problem with the foot and the bottom of the box was not sealed with tape. I was unaware of this problem and would have sent him another one. Since I never took the toy out of the box I did not know of this problem. I apologized but it was too late he left the negative before I could even address the issue. Yes I'm asking alot for my items but that is what they are worth to me. I did not know who this other person was. Thanks. I hate the way people bash and don't even drop me an email to just ask. That is WRONG! I hope this will settle the matter. Die, Alien Scum!
Hey john thomas, if you're really not "collector1118", how come your profile says you're from Flemington, New Jersey? Florida? Flemington? That's too much of a coincidence for me to believe. Better hurry and pay back your mom. She's probably pretty mad that she's got to spend HER money on refunds that YOU should be paying. Hope you enjoyed my cash. It's the last you'll ever get from me.
Godzilla
Yes I was wonrking on the Mechafag thing. I unfortunately one of those who got screwed because I have cash in my account. I have done what I could and have left it to the authorities (USPS). I am somewhat disappointed by the lack of ppl giving me info. I have a list and it was looking pretty. Mechfag got like $1500 based on the info that was reported. I wanted this @$$hole but everyone got their money back from paypal except me and some others. I have done what I could to this point till I get some leads or something.
simikon76
Hello JT70, I have never really lurked on this board but it is a good thing I did. I see you gave your side of the story so I will give you mine. And by the way, I saved all those lovely emails you sent me. I am amazed how easily you tell your side of the story but omit a few details. Let me say for one that the item in question was a vf-11B. After tracking down the package because it was sent to the wrong house I was excited to get it home. The box was not new and showed wear on it. The tape was removed on the bottom but I decided to let it go becuase I was excited to take the toy out of the box. The minute I took the toy out of the box the hip joint on the right leg split. I was pissed. I knew these things could do that but man I just could not believe it happened to me. Anyways, I emiled this guy about my problems and asked for a replacement or possible refund. He emails me back and tells me that all auctions are as is with no discussion of a replacement or a refund. With that I decided to post a negative feedback because this experience was horrible. When he found out he got all pissy and decided to email me multiple times about putting in a neutral feedback yada yada and then threatens me with a negative feedback. I told him fine as long as what you say is true. Of course he says he was planning a resolution to the problem. That kind of pissed me off which caused me to file a mediation. However, after I cooled down I decided to cancel it. I decided later to repair the toy and leave it at that. I did contact him one last time because he kept raving he had a resolution. I asked him what it was and also informed him that negative feedback can be mutually withdrawn. I have not heard from him since. Sorry about the long rant but I needed to tell my side of the story. When I stumbled on this thread I could not help but think that this may not go away. I kept the toy because I could repair it but had I been frustrated I probably would pursue this. This guy is amazing and to be honest a little paranoid (he has requested my contact information twice already). It is kind of a coincidence that this collectorguy and john both live in the same city in Florida. I won't ever buy from him and it seems he is price gauging like crazy. Oh and John, I asked you tell the truth however there is a limit to my patience. You can only push someone too far. simikon
JT70
At no time did he ask for refund or replacement before leaving negative feedback. I will still replace the toy with another. I have told him that. What else can I do. It is done either send the toy back for a replacement or leave it be. What else can I do. I apologize if you want this fixed please let me know. Die, Alien Scum!
Ha ha, what a scammer you are JT! I see you changed the information in your profile. Now it says you were born in 1951 instead of 1970 and you've removed your location. The truth is already out. We all know who you are, regardless of what name you're calling yourself now. By the way, did you repay your mommy yet? She had to shell out a lot of bread to cover your butt. You should call her and tell her how sorry you are that you're a lying fraud and a poor excuse for a human being. Of course, she already knows that, just by the amount of money she's had to pay due to your ignorance. Hell, if you were my kid, I'd disown you for pulling this kind of crap. do not disturb
its hard/next to impossible to be a dishonest buyer(unless they pull the "you switch items"), you don't pay, you don't get your stuff. but dishonest sellers are a dime a dozen....its too easy to lie and just ship out empty boxes as we all know. i don't know whos at fault but if D.A.S. is right, find it odd that JT70 changed his personal info as soon as simikon76 got here. i also found it odd that simikon76 found his way to macrossworld shortly after having a problem with JT70. so whos guilty?....i have no idea but i certainly won't buy anything from either of them(nothing personal) but i'd be more than happy to sell them anything they want. as far as people being paranoid....i've said it once, and i'll say it again, its not paranoia when they're really out to get you. simikon76
I'm a buyer not a seller so you don't have to worry about me. For some reason I have been nostalgic lately for these toys and I'm buying them up. I've been lurking on mw for a awhile but stumbled on this thread when I was looking for any good buys. Acutally there are not alot of macross forums. so the likelhood of finding this place is high. I have no beef with JT70. Like I said I fixed my item and I want to leave it at that. This guy just gets me sometimes because he omits things. I didn't want to get involved except to tell my side. Anyways, I have things to buy so I'll probably be back to lurking on this forum. Die, Alien Scum!
It's been a while since anyone has added to this thread, but I couldn't resist. Our very own JT70, aka johnthomas1951 on eBay, has recently received more poor feedback from the buyer known as c_dazzle. It seems that JT has sold a couple more damaged, opened, painted, incomplete Yamato 1/48 valks that he had listed as MISB. This is the third time in less than a month, as vincentanime told me his was also not MISB. I asked him to leave negative feedback, but he didn't want JT to do the same. Well guess what, c_dazzle left one neutral and one negative feedback and received two negative feedbacks from JT. What's nice is JT says he alledgedly got no response when he offered a refund. And he even gave c_dazzle about five hours to respond. How generous and patient of you, JT. Personally, I must doubt the validity of JT's comments since he has already proven himself to be a lying fraud and an all-around scumbag on the scale of arafat209. Nice job, JT! Keep reachin' for those stars! By the way, isn't it about time this jackass changed his handle again (both here and on eBay)? I wish he hadn't cancelled his collector1118 ID before ybwong and I could leave feedback. It would've made for some interesting reading, especially the comments I'd have left. Die, Alien Scum!
Are we also talking about the same Jontom that's in this site and requesting to purchase a valk booster from Monkey_N? Sorry if I missed something, I didn't read the entire thread. Good question. Has another ID been added to the list? I'm not going to make that accusation. Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about him buying anything (although JT70 did back out of buying a Low-Viz from Wray). His problem is the selling part. He's more of the "take your cash/send you crap" kind of guy. In my case it was "take my money/send me nothing but lies and BS for over a month". His mommy had to refund my money before I got the law involved. Maybe time will tell if they are one and the same. We all know JT70 would never fess up to his actions. After all, he's over 30 years old and $1000+ in debt to his mother for the refunds she shelled out to cover his fraudulent activities. He's on a real path to greatness, following in the footsteps of arafat209, toward the title of "World's Worst Scam-Artist".

Die, Alien Scum!
You'll all notice that JT70 has not posted here (not just this thread, but the entire forum) since I busted him twice in as many days. That was over two weeks ago and he has not spoken up in defense of himself. I know he's seen our recent comments since he was looking at this thread earlier today. At least arafag tried to defend himself a little (using another ID to add himself to the SSL was a classy move). Sadly, JT hasn't been that entertaining. And just for the record, both JT70 and arafat209 are affiliated with New Jersey. Flemington and Paterson are only about 60 miles apart, so I just wonder if they might be related in some way? Maybe one's Peter and the other Alex (or whatever their real names are), or their cousins or something? Or it could simply be coincedence. Chances are they're just both genetically pre-disposed to be scumbags due to decades of inbreeding and inadequate parental guidance. Yeah, that makes the most sense. Cousins and siblings shouldn't go past third base.
Die, Alien Scum!
Here's a quick update on my personal situation with JT70 aka johnthomas1951 aka collector1118 aka mechafreak aka Alex and/or Peter Medina, etc. I paid for three 1/48 valks; two Low-Viz, one Focker. After waiting three weeks and having to contact his mommy (who shared the collector1118 ID with him), he actually shipped me a valk. Only one valk. It was a Hikaru VF-1A. Hell, it wasn't even MIB; someone had filled in the panel lines. I returned this to him after his mother sent my refund. I paid the return postage, so technically I lost some money just by dealing with this @$$-clown. Now, back using his collector1118 ID, he's e-mailing me saying he never received it. He's accused me of stealing that P.O.S. Funny, theft is his specialty, not mine. Maybe this is another of his scams: "I never received the item you returned; send me another." Not gonna happen. I sent it to the address I have for Alex Medina, but since no one really knows if that's his real name, it may not have gotten to him. Personally, I don't care if he gets it. He'd probably just try to pawn it off as MIB using pics stolen from another auction. I won't buy anything from him ever again, regardless of what identity he's using. Use the following link and report him to ebay about it. They actually take complaints about sellers seriously (unlike buyers) and if enough people complain, they will get him banned from ebay permanently. http://pages.ebay.com/help/confidence/isgw...protection.html
