Because Macross is the coolest. (Extra credit for naming the greeblies and easter eggs!) xoxo, arbit I thought I would make a separate topic for this add-on, since it has a large amount of detail on its own, and can be attached to any flight deck. Full detailed WIP will follow once I get my resources together. Character figures are made by me, using a lot of stock 3D parts from around the internet. Barrels/Lifeboats from Thingiverse, edited by @Xigfrid to add the Macross flag. Barrel racks by @Xigfrid Original SDF-1 3D model made by GUILLEABM83 on Cults3d, heavily edited, separated, and hollowed by me for printing and lighting. Thanks to Guillermo for his awesome work! Macross robots and cameras by OIM on Cults3d. Thanks Olivier! Go check out his library of Macross figures. Platform made by me from super duper secret greeblies on Thingiverse.

For an exercise, I copied the composition of a photograph of a fighter on a carrier deck surrounded in catapult steam, and recreated it in 3D. I replaced all the elements with 3D Macross stuff and textures of my own creation (except for the gloves and the vests). It was good practice for lighting and composition skills. Valkyrie fighter and clothes modeled or extensively morphed in 3ds max and ZBrush. Inspired by a photo from Reuters/Corbis. -

Although they never showed takeoffs, or landings from the runway on the ARMD's, I thought it would be fun to make the runway like a carrier deck, since I won't actually have the Prometheus on this SDF-1. -

This is based on a tow tractor support vehicle that came out in the first episode of SDF Macross. The tow bar connects to a VF-1 Tow hook but I've also included another hook to secure it. It actually works without it. It comes with a driver. Thanks for looking! Comments welcome.
