  1. It seems the 1/72 Vf-1J and VF-1A fighters are showing "in stock" on the Calibre Wings website....has anyone received them? I placed an order via Flying Mule due to their 20% PO discount but they seem to always get their stuff last.... I am glad that I picked up the VF-1S and M&M VF-1J set, they are all excellent display pieces.....wonder if this is the end of the road for canon VF-1's from Calibre Wings?.....I am taking a pass at the original paint schemes they are releasing...
  2. Out of nowhere Bandai is bringing a new action figure. I couldn’t find a thread for the show, so I figured I’d start one in case other items appear like new kits other action figures or just a rerelease of the series.
  3. I'm not really interested in finding or posting in other toy forums, but my Macross love led to finding other toys I loved of course. I recently got a bunch of Alien toys to play with (and more on the way soon hopefully), and I usually like to mix it up with my Macross stuff. So, I thought I'd make a place here for posting pics of your non Macross stuff and/or for your crossover episodes. So if you're playing with your other toys, figures, etc and/or mixing it up, please take a pic and post it here! I'll start the thread off with this somewhat accidental pose. My NECA Aliens Queen figure wouldn't stay upright, so I dejectedly placed her like this and then thought it would make a great pose with the Toynami valks that I keep at work (that also don't like to stay put). Btw, if you're on the fence about buying this Alien Queen figure, don't waste your money unless you're a die hard fan and need to have this in your life. She is badly proportioned (well admittedly, she was in the movie too), doesn't like to stay standing (impossible without the stands), the stands suck, the joints are weak, some of mine broke almost immediately, the back spikes are impossible to get installed properly without glue, and other than looking awesome, she just sucks as a figure for the $120 she costs! But maybe I'm expecting too much.
  4. Anyone collecting these? I've just started. Hoping there are fans here so I have people to discuss collecting these with. I've picked up the Enterpise-D and Enterprise movie refit. The D was flawless. Unfortunately, the movie refit had misaligned nacelles that are not parallel. One nacelle also sits higher than the other. It really bugs my OCD. I don't know if they are all like that or I just got a bad one? Is there bootlegs of these? I did get mine from China missing the book.

  7. If the mods want to delete this thread, due to the separate ones, then I understand. At the moment, there look to be about 4 or 5 threads on various Megazone 23 products in the first few pages here. Since there are so many different items coming out this year and next, I figure that it might be helpful to have a single thread to keep them all straight, and to compare/contrast. We have: - Arcadia 1/24 (thread at ) - Freeing 1/20 (thread at ) - Fewture 1/20... or 1/15... unclear (thread at - The old Yamato, which can be great for comparison, 1/15 (rider was closer to 1/18) (thread at ) - Aoshima also made a 1/24 model (no recently active thread on that) So, here is how things look to me: Arcadia: 1/24 "die cast model". The big deal to this one, in my opinion, is that they have shown prototypes of Hagans and Proto Garland (at Wonderfest in 2016, and updated in 2017). So, while this one looks largely like a scaled-down Yamato, it might be worth getting if it is going to be part of a full in-scale line of Megazone 23 products. They have also more recently revealed an add-on strike Garland pack (shields and weapons that add on to make it look like the Strike Garland). Price: 25,800 at HLJ for Garland, 24,510 at CDJ, 23,994 at A-E, 25,300 for the Garland; 64,584 for the blue and white version; 25,704 for the Strike Parts; all at AmiAmi (the latter two appearing to be incentives from the Kickstarter for the new anime); Release: 12/2017 Freeing: 1/20 scale This one wins on robot mode, but the bike mode looks a little crushed together. The video that they put out showing the transformation of this thing looks, in my opinion, terrible. Just way way WAY too finicky. On the other hand, it's an E=X Garland, and I've wanted one since I first saw Megazone 23 Part III, and never thought we'd get one. The figure that comes with it looks kind of cool. Price: 26,213 on HLJ, 24,834 on CDJ, 23,460 on A-E; Release: 02/2018 Fewture: 1/20, though it seems closer to 1/15 in robot mode Looks similar to the Yamato, but with more elongation and sharp points. Maybe a little artistic license taken to make it look more dynamic. The paint job definitely looks less plastic and more paint, with a darker color than I think we've seen before. It does look detailed, though the figure that comes with it looks a little iffy. Price: 39,800 on HLJ. 39,800 on CDJ, 37,810 on A-E; Release: 04/2018 So, what are everyone's thoughts, looking at all of these together? The Fewture looks detailed, but I'm not a fan of the paint, and the pricing is just way way too high for my tastes. The Freeing looks cool, but finicky. Tempted to get it due to no other E=X figures being out there, but not sure what you're getting justifies the price. To me, the Arcadia is the only one I'm seriously considering. The pricing is a little more reasonable, but still up there, so I'm on the fence. On the other hand, if this does become a larger line, with multiple versions of the Garland, plus Harguns, maybe cheaper strike packs down the road, and if they have a deal to make figures for the new anime (which may be the case, looking at the Kickstarter incentives), then I know I'm going to be kicking myself later if I don't get this one.

  9. Hi everyone, long time no see! I was wondering, since there's a minor revival of MOSPEADA with the upcoming Legioss toy, if anyone would be interested in acquiring some of my Space Crab kits? My thoughts would be to re-issue the Pinky Space Crab [Gurab] to start with. I would basically need 10 orders minimum to get the project going. Update: Exo has graciously offered a 1/48 scale figure to compliment the Pinky kit, so each Crab will come with one. THREE CHEERS FOR EXO!!! Price would be $134 CAD (about $99 US)+ shipping with up-front payment required. Shipping prices are as follows: -$23 CAD for up to 2 kits shipped in Canada or the US -$45 CAD for up to 2 kits shipped internationally. Any takers?
  10. Well Another company has jumped into fry for third party. 1/72 scale. Beautiful , heavy great QC and nice features. For $144 shipping included. What a steal
  11. just starting a thread to show some of the work I have been doing to bring more elements to life for the this tabletop game. some of which may never see official light of day.
  12. So I'm a fan of the recent Ace Combat's damage model system called "Steel carnage". I had a few Hasegawa models lying around and I thought, "why not blow them up in Photoshop?". So that's what I did. I'm going to do more of these in the future because it's fun making metal bleed! Follow me as I post more of these on my tumblr and Deviantart! http://the-valkyrie-hangar.tumblr.com/ http://kylefalconkpd.deviantart.com/
  13. just saw this blurb at TagHobby: The Mobile Battleship NADESICO: http://www.taghobby.com/1-0/1-1/art-spirits-發售日未定-『機動戰艦』-nergal-nd-001-nadesico/ specs: MSRP at 12800y (13824y with tax, i reckon) size: 23cm release-date: 11/14
  14. Bandai will be releasing 1/48 and 1/72 Star Wars models. I would love to see Star Wars kits with Gunpla MG/RG color separation. They also showed a 1/1700 scale Star Destroyer with lighting effects. Don't know if that will be an actual kit. http://www.actionfigurefury.com/band...toy-show-2014/
  15. Hey every one, I am new to the forums here and this is my frist post, so I may have this in the wrong spot. VF-25 fastpacks/armor pack VF-27 YF-29 ( I think it's 29 or really any models form frontier. thanks guys its a big help if anything turns out.
  16. Hi there, I live in Shanghai and a huge macross fan. Does anyone here know any model shops where I can make a model?

  18. Greeting MWers... been forever and a day since I last posted here. While helping a friend move we stumbled across these little gems. My knowledge of orguss is pretty limited, but it dates back to the days of SDF Macross. Both appear to be legit, and appear to be complete, so I am looking for some information on them. I have already hit up the bay and prices seem to be all over the place, and usually I find the ARII models which from what I am reading are IMAI reissues, Unless I read otherwise, there is a good chance that neither of these has seen any daylight in 20+ years. So with that out of the way, I am looking for any info on these guys. Value if any? Rarity.. etc. etc. Thanks for the assist. Rob
  19. Post your links for your build ups or completed models threads here. Resin kits, plastic injection or scratch. Let other kit builders know where your thread is or if you want, post pics here.

  21. A friend of mine is an awesome Prop builder so I asked him to build the H-90 Gallant and to make it Modular as a one off for me. I am aware of a project to make the Gallant for sale, however with import of RIFs to the UK, figured safer to just find a UK based builder. So with a little artistic license, Rare Earth Magnets, a Very stable and solid modular GALLANT weapon. Next step is now to find a Hard shell case for display/transport. I do have plans for a CV-3 armour set too.
  22. Some pics of non-Macross related figures I took at Wonderfest today. In particular, I thought the Megahouse Dragon Crown figures looked amazing. And the Megadrive Megatron is, of course, a must-buy ;-) (EDIT: The uploader seems to have thrown the order of the pics into a bit of a mess, sorry!)
  23. Hi All? Anybody here interested in doing paper models of mecha, figures? Myself want to get back into for a few reasons. 1) Need to keep those skills sharpened. 2) Cost most models are free and the only expenditure is materials like paper, glue, printing, etc. 3) Not much in kits coming out that makes my list for purchases. 4) Also want to get back into resin/figure kits, can't afford plastic and resin kits at same time. 5) I don't do Toys or or other collectibles. So far downloaded a few Destroids, 4 Valkyrie, 2 Tron Lightcycle 1 Legioss and a massive Lambda/Tydirium Shuttle(very complex Buldi..
  24. My second project: Build a variable alpha legioss resin kit (approximately 10 inches high for the battroid mode ) The right leg and landing gear prototypes were build with cardboards. I will make the real ones with plastic cards. Landing gear deployed Landing gear retracted The leg's design has been refined,it looks better than the 1/45 legioss : I like it.Softline design... B))
