  1. I have been watching You tube Videos talking about the Game "Star Citizen" it looks interesting has any one on Macross world forum played the game?
  2. There is a Kickstarter coming up for the Saber Rider videogame. I haven't been following news of the game that much. I think it was originally coming out on one of the Nintendo portable systems. Then I saw news that it would be a coming out as a pay per level type of thing. I put it in this section as they are teasing a few bonus items for fans of the anime. A new Ramrod toy and a prop of Fireball's blaster have been shown so far on their Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/SaberRiderOfficial I'm hoping that they'll have some of the German deluxe Blu-rays with translated booklets. Maybe they'll make some figures or toys of the other vehicles too. I would go for Fireball's car.
  3. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1300298569/under-the-dog As of an hour ago, Under the Dog met its goal! I guess this should have its own thread now, eh? I'm excited about the turn around. Last week was looking iffy, but I have to hand it to this team, they did not falter. And their core ideas seem to be resonating with the anime community now in the final hours. Everything raised from this point until Sunday will be a sweet bonus.
  4. Hey guys, just saw this over the weekend and was blown away by it. I wanted to spread the word about this production as I found it very well done. It's done in a "documentary" style and has impressive visual effects that combine some of the JJ Abrams fleet ships but with some TOS touches to them. THE STORY "Axanar takes place 21 years before the events of Where no Man Has Gone Before. It tells the story of Garth of Izar, the legendary Starfleet captain who is Captain Kirks hero and the role model for a generation of Starfleet officers. Garth charted more planets than any other Captain and was the hero of the Battle of Axanar. His exploits are required reading at Starfleet Academy. This is the story of Garth and his crew during the Four Years War, the war with the Klingon Empire that almost tore the Federation apart, and whose resolution solidified the Federation and allowed it to become the entity we know in Kirk's time. It is the year 2245, four years into the war with the Klingons." Check it out here! Edit: new link to current fundraiser. Link has all videos in it including Prelude to Axanar. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/star-trek-axanar/x/11444193#/story Chris
  5. Well, this looks rather scary: Quotes from: http://atmelcorporation.wordpress.com/2014/07/26/hoverbikes-may-soon-become-a-reality “We combined the simplicity of a motorbike and the freedom of a helicopter to create the world’s first flying motorcycle,” says a company rep. The futuristic prototype has the potential to travel up to 92 miles or for about 45 minutes on a single tank of fuel, with a 3,048-meter maximum altitude and a top speed of around 45 MPH. “This a far cry from the full-size prototype’s theorized 173 MPH,” writes Wired’s Chris Higgins. http://www.hover-bike.com/MA/ How the heck are they going to pass safety!?!!!

  8. "Star Trek: Renegades is a fan created project to create a pilot for a new Star Trek series. Several former Star Trek actors will appear, including Walter Koenig, Garrett Wang and J. G. Hertzler. Tim Russ will appear and direct the pilot. Funding was successfully sought for production during 2012 through Kickstarter and additional funding was raised through Indiegogo in 2013 The pilot will be set nearly ten years after the end of Star Trek: Voyager. The head of Section 31 sends a motley crew of outcasts to intervene when the planet Reuel VII is isolated from outside contact through unnatural means. Reuel VII is the main source of dilithium for the Federation, requiring them to gain access to the planet once more at all cost." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_Renegades First post-production teaser: What do you think of project?
  9. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1216340396/708365687?token=107d75bf This hasn't officially launched yet, but if/when it does, I'm easily in for $100.
  10. How many people here were fans of Bullfrog's Syndicate or Syndicate Wars? For me, it was one of the first games I ever played on the Amiga 500 that just sucked me into a world of cyberpunk and espionage - loved the atmosphere, music and feel of the game. So - long story short, my friends have put together a Kickstarter (went live yesterday) to fund the spiritual successor to Syndicate and Syndicate Wars - they're all going to be made redundant by August (game dev studio closing down, I worked with them at a previous game dev - when that also closed down several years ago), and they've even got one of the original creators on the team as well as the original sound designer and composer of they reach a certain goal - check out the link below and see what you think - hey even pledge a bit of change if u wanna see it become a reality! Even if they weren't my buddies - I'd still get this game :3 http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/5livesstudios/satellite-reign
  11. So the Kickstarter launched for Robotech RPG tactics: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rrpgt/robotech-rpg-tacticstm It easily met it's target already. The miniatures look pretty good but it's quite expensive. $70+$30shipping to get into the game....? I could swallow the $70 but the $30 to shipping outside of the US seems a bit steep. Anyone thought of getting into this? I bought into the $140 pledget (+$30 shipping) but I still might back out to the bare minimum pledge yet. There is 32 days to go. Then again I might not....with no valks to buy my toy budget is actually starting to acumulate money! I might just go through with it for shits and giggles. Anyway..... I know everyone here is not a big fan of Robotech and/or Harmony Gold but it looks kind of cool.
