  3. Hey, folks. Some CAD drawings for DX YF-30 just surfaced in a recent magazine (not sure whether it is Hobby Japan). So it is real and coming... :-) Of course, an ongoing discussion is already at the proper topic: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=37897&page=13 BTW, this picture came from the site TAG Hobby (where Cybergundam is now working at).
  4. I'm note sure if the price is good, but right now there is an used VF-19 Kai at Amiami, at 16740 yen: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=TOY-RBT-1463
  5. VF-25F back in stock at Amiami now! http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=TOY-RBT-3273
  6. If anyone wants the RVF-25, I suggest to camp on Amiami this night: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=TOY-RBT-03110 Amiami just changed the price from the preorder one (10290 yen) to a post-release one (13940 yen). So there is a high probability that they still have some units available, and they may go for sale tonight... It is just a bet, but based on previous behavior of Amiami, I think it is very likely.
  7. Available at HLJ now, at 13300 yen: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN980713/Sci
  8. Now available at Amiami (price tag 12500 yen): http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=TOY-RBT-2966
  9. Got my payment request too. But when I log into their system, my invoice is in Yen, exactly as when I made the preorder. So it seems when preordering it will register the currency you are currently viewing. So preorders made in dollars will have to be paid by that exactly value, independently of the exchange rate at the time of payment (or toy release).
  10. Well, my bet for the VF-25F reissue was not that far-fetched! It seems it will happen even sooner, in July 2013: http://toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-204667-1-1.html Hope the Tornado Pack comes with it, as a exclusive...
  11. Well, about the next releases... If I remember correctly, this is the order in which the renewals were released: jun 2011 - YF-29 (alto version) oct 2011 - VF-25F jan 2012 - VF-25S may 2012 - YF-29 (alto version) reissue jun 2012 - VF-171EX sep 2012 - VF-25G oct 2012 - YF-29 (30th) mar 2013 - YF-29 (30th) reissue apr 2013 - VF-171 CF jun 2013 - RVF-25 My guess is the following: there will be just one more this year, probably the YF-30. First because they released only repaints this year, and also because the YF-30 should arrive within the commemorative year. I think the logic is to reissue older items and only after some repaints issue a new mold. So here are my bets for the future: oct 2013 - YF-30 jan 2014 - VF-25F reissue (perhaps with Super Pack), Tornado Pack will be a web exclusive apr 2014 - YF-30 reissue jun 2014 - VF-27 renewal oct 2014 - VF-25S reissue (probably with Armored Pack) jan 2015 - VF-171EX reissue apr 2015 - VF-25G reissue (with matching Tornado Pack), Super Pack will be a web exclusive jun 2015 - Vajra (hehe) oct 2015 - RVF-25 reissue (with matching Super Pack), Ghost will be a web exclusive But maybe some new repaints will appear for YF-29 and VF-171, so these molds can be reused...
  12. The DX YF-29 30th is again available at HLJ: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN977444

    DX VF-25G

Only 3 Michaels and 4 Ozmas? That's for newbies. I've got 18 of each toy... Got each setup of Battroid, Gerwalk and Fighter, either plain or using the Super / Armor parts. - That's 9, sir! Sure, but I don't have a mirror on the back, therefore I just got 9 more placed backwards, only slightly higher, so you get a two-level effect with a little path running down the middle. :-)

    DX VF-25G

I was online at that exact moment, and luckily was checking the stock status of VF-25 model kits (which where reissued recently). Then I noticed the opening of the DX VF-25G preorder among the other items. I don't know when did it got open, but after I made the post here, the preorder only lasted about 15 minutes...

    DX VF-25G

Folks, run as the DX VF-25G is open for preorder at HLJ right now (almost full price, though): http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN976275

  17. And it can get much worse, folks... Here in Brazil the import tax is 96%, and the taxes apply both to the declared product and shipping costs! And the imported products normally arrive in the customs about one week after the shipment from Japan, but it takes a further full month to get them released from our customs. No need to say how draconian and stupid is our system... Still, a few hard-headed fans, like me, try to keep up with our collections, despite scalpers and shortage of valks...
  18. I got the feeling that the production numbers for this one will be big, after all! Amiami also reopened their preorders last week, twice, and currently some shops like AE seems to fulfilling all placed orders... Does Bandai finally learned? We'll find out soon...
  19. Hey, folks! Hobby Search reopened their VF-171 preorder right now: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10178529 It is cheaper than HLJ, by the way...
  20. Hey, folks! It seems no one noticed this yet, but as expected the Super Pack for the VF-171 will come as a Bandai Web Shop limited item. No info yet on the release date. Got so far only a short info, from the latest Hobby Japan magazine: http://blog.yahoo.co...es/651428/index So, gear for your usual proxy buying service... :-)
  21. Yeah, it makes sense. And maybe it was really a small number of items for preorder, to be safe on their side... What puzzles me the most is: how did people actually know when the VF-25G (and the other ones) would get posted at Amiami? It was because it was on 1st of June? Or because it was on a Friday afternoon in Japan (to be ready for consumers at home on the weekend)? Or because of some internal confirmation from Bandai??? Sure, the YF-29 re-release got "in stock" at Amiami least three times after the release date. I grabbed one, but each time the purchase window only lasted few minutes, too...
  22. I think the Japanese version is exactly the same as the English one. In the past I've done some checking back and forth and the releases, status and order limits seems to be the same. The only difference, perhaps, is that some items are marked as "for sale in Japan only", but I never actually got barred for purchasing anything that was on stock. Probably it would be too much hassle to handle items differently for each version, like release some items earlier for the Japanese and later for the rest of the world. By the end of the day, all purchases should be the same for Amiami, wherever they come from...
  23. Are you sure that Amiami actually opened their preorders? Totally by chance, I was online browsing Amiami almost at the moment the VF-25G page appeared. It was already marked as sold out about 15-20 minutes into the round hour it should have been posted (3 am in my local time, if I remember correctly). So either they just put a placeholder and did not open the preorders at all (like HLJ), or many people were already waiting for it, and flooded the website in the first few minutes. The latter seems unlikely, as there was already a limit for one toy per person at Amiami. Also, it was so early that perhaps they did not have secured some purchases from Bandai back then. My theory aligns to what most people said here: probably the most reputable stores are actually not taking any preorders. Therefore they do not risk failing to fulfill the preorders taken, as happened for previous toys. Only smaller shops got their preorders open, like Hobby Search, Anime Export and Otacute, but probably for just very few items (which they are sure to meet). I think the bigger stores are probably sure that when the items get stocked after release, they will sell easily. So they will just bump up the price (HLJ already did this) and ride the wave... As further evidence, here is the reply I got from HLJ a few days ago. They really use the word stock, not preorder: We'll do what we can to grab as much stock as we can! As for the other stores, like Nippon Yassan, well, I hope they will fulfill all the preorders taken, but that's hard to speculate at this moment... So, did anyone here actually got a preorder in Amiami for VF-25G??? Regards, Marcelo
  24. I've sent an e-mail few days ago to HLJ, asking whether they were planning to limit preorders to 1 or 2 items per person, as to get more chances that everyone gets his own Valkyrie. They told me: "We'll do what we can to grab as much stock as we can!" I understand they really plan to open preorders sometime, but are probably just waiting information from Bandai as how many items they can order. They could just place a small number like 10, which should be easy to fulfill, but instead are trying to secure a higher number of preorders to sell. Which is good news, I think! So, it seems it's not their fault. We should calm down and wait... ;-)
  25. Thanks for the info! So, that isn't a direct fitting -- will wait for a (probably exclusive) renewal version for the Tornado Pack...
