Ok then outside of the usa where else can they not sell or poll for results? All I'm saying is they have the license to produce it right. So why can't they put up a poll on their website and get and idea of how well outside of Japan it would do as a solid toy. I mean really, we are already purchasing the toys from the four corners of the globe via on line sales and whatever. So what difference would it make? Bottomline if they really want to know the answer there is a way to get it.

I don't see why, 1. They are making the resin kit/toy for release 2. They have the license to make it, and sell it everywhere that Harmony Gold doesn't have a lock on it. 3. And it's just a poll, to see the level of popularity it would have outside of Japan. I mean we outside of Japan spend a lot of money on macross too, some of us know it as Robotech. But that doesn't change the fact we account for a sizable amount of sales. Sure they could find out by contacting the stores that sell the toys and get an idea of the size of the non-Japan sales. Hell even run it through the same said retailers and get a picture of sort on how well they might do. I've said it before we here at MW are not the only Macfans in town. I'm sure there are some who just don't sign in/register but lurk just for the news here and at other Mac sites too. Sure we have a large community but I really don't think we are the only game in town.

Now I just need two more Regults, that Glaug and a couple of male power armors and I could be in hog heaven! Hell if the knees bend and the cannon rotates and elevates its a done deal.
-
I love my YF-19 but if they can/do take the info for this and apply it to a new V.2/3 then I'm in. Or if they do an awesome repaint I'll be sold. Maybe a stealth or low viz.
-
I concur, but if they just gave it a shot I don't think they will be let down. They should really look in to the international market by doing a poll, they should know many out here waiting for an affordable version that is virutlally problem free.

Amen to that bro, if they can't deal with it then what's the point of being with'em? To tell the truth my wife has seen me have full-on dogfights and touch and go's off my flightdeck/desk. . . So she's cool with it even with my music going.
-
Initialy it depends on the valk. But since I'm pretty good with stickers and terrible with waterslides, I tend to leave the canvas clean per-se. Unless its missing a detail with out them.

DAYYYUUMM!!!!!!!!! Look at that price! And that's before shipping! The word of the day is "Wallet Homicide". But then again we here at MW are all guilty of "Wallet Cleasing". Good luck bro you're gonna need it, I hope you can get one at a reasonable price. I'm good with Brera's bird man, no need to get into a three-way battle between me, the wife and my back pocket.

Strike A Pose! V.4 - The Macross Mech Pose Thread
DARKWIND replied to JCSaves's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Nice!!!!!!! Which Isamu did you use and was it an easy fit? -
   (Sorry. ) I agree about the addition of grey to the valks, it also looks awesome. After looking at both types IMHO both are still pretty sweet. But since both stories are official, (one being a re-tell/movie made after the other) wouldn't that make both vers. cannon? I mean that's how I see it. Well its wide open to interpretation/perception anyway.
-
True, this something I hope will continue. Hopefully they will produce the male power armor too.
-
Good points on both sides. But since you're buying now and not way back when, look for newer re-release toys. Be very sure of what you're paying for and good luck.
-
Nice photoshoot, I mean real damn nice!!!!! IMHO people can complain all they want but the ver.1 valks are still nice in their way. And yeah I know, I've got a couple ver.2's but I haven't/didn't buy a repeat set just the 1J. Everything else is just the birds they didn't make at 1/60 scale. To me the ver.1's still hold their own.
-
Bottomline start with your fav then move to your least fav. The 1/48's were and still are pretty sturdy. Its just a preference of which toy color and construction you like best. If you like it to be larger than life you'll probably buy a lot. But make sure you've got space to store/display them. We can't really tell you exactly which one to get first its all up to you and your taste.

YESSSS.!!!!!!! Still have a chance, but I gotta wait till Aug to buy anything else.

War Pigs, Black Sabbath. Another good track for my battlepod.

Like I said "Guilty". I've been known to hum the tune at work. Whenever I tinker with the Quarter "Hell's Bells" or "Thunderstruck" from AC/DC, something about the guns on that sucker just screams "Come about hard Port and make ready for a full braodside!!!" "FIRE!!!!"
-
Yeah, the MacPlus music is pretty good. Also when I grab my Destriod "Purple Haze" by Jimmy just feels right for some reason. Like when I break out the CF's "Paint it Black" by the Stones screams, "yup these guys are toast". And "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplaine for the Destroids too. I've also got the soundtrack to MacFrontier and both disks for MacPlus, and saved them to my 360 for Ace Combat 6.
-
For me its. . . "Crazy on you" or "Barricuda" by Heart for anything Millia related. "Dangerzone" Kenny Loggins for Roy's valks. "Frankenstein" Edgar Winter Group for my Low Viz and stealth1J. "Black Betty" by Ram Jam OR "Radar Love" Golden Earring for Max's valks. (Depending on my mood) Hikaru gets "Kashmir" OR "Whole lotta love" by Led Zeppelin also "Bring me to Life" by Evanescence. Well now you know how cuckoo I am (this is just the tip of the iceberg mind you, I still haven't even gotten to the CF's, MacPlus, MacZero, Mac7, MacFrontier, and Destroids). Let's hear from the peanut gallery, what's your dogfight/funtime/simulation soundtrack?

As sweet as this looks I'm gonna have to pass till I either get more cash now or, it shows up on ebay in a few months.
-
Yeah and as long as the shoulders don't crumble on it I have no plans to mod/strip/rebuild it. I was lucky the shoulders held and still do till this very day. And yes I have the replacements on emergency stand by both my V.1 Zero Valks. (I planned ahead.)
-
I thought the same thing but see, if they are really working to get us buying again they might have just ran the 0S in the simular boxes to get product on the street and keep up with the schedule. Then delay the 0A a little till the new boxes are done to ensure the differences are in the clear so to speak. This way word of mouth sparks about the 0S being virtually solid then ship the improved 0A in a new box and BANG! Everyone's happy all around with new, easier to ID MacZero valks, even after being sold out for a hot minute of time. And @ GU-11. . . I've got the first release 0S with the short leg syndrome too, wish I could find a tried and true way to fix it. Again they pushed what they had on hand and what was ready to go, (ie. New valks old boxes cause production had gone ahead with the first plan then mid-run ops told them to switch to no-flap box late in the game.) Later after it was all set in motion word might have come up that the new boxes were behind sched too.
-
It seems to me that they are trying to sort all the BS out over R-1's and R-2's (or re-release) to ensure these sell. With a box change ya know you're getting a fresh tooled bird, to avoid dead stock over rumors that its the same as the first release. (ie. brittle shoulders) And if the box change saves them cash then its good idea to boot. Hopefully no more recasting shoulders to ship to god knows where. And they can move on to other projects. Who knows maybe the broken shoulder thread really got through to them with gusto. Hell if this release were to have problems imagine the crap they would have to go through. I mean look at the hubbub over the VF-1J sets, people don't want to get snookered again. I think Yamato's doing Damage Control to get sales back on track and boost their rep back to where it belongs. Sure we're waiting longer but this way when you buy it, all the fixes should be in place.
-
Yeah. The one you picked I had on my watchlist till I could find it any cheaper but you sniped me about 2hrs beforehand. But its cool I'll just keep trollin til I get a deal, like I said I've still got all the aces so eventually I think I'll get lucky.

At first I felt the same way about kakizaki too but, I never knew they did the TV types in 1/48. So I figured 1/60s were the way to go. I missed out and have been trying to catch up on some of valks. I've got Roy's TV valk on preorder, Max's just got to the house a few days ago and working on Hikaru's 1J. (With good shoulders, I hope.) Did ever release a stand alone fixed shoulder 1J, just trying to get a solid confim on it. And yeah i hope a reissue comes too.
