  1. DARKWIND - Sweet G-Force toy dude ... and it has the 4 mini-vehicles that can attach? Awesome. Thanks for posting the pics.

    B))

And I noticed you got Bubblegum Crisis toys on the shelf below ... are they figures or models?

Yeah the Bubblegum Crisis toys are figures but, more for posing than any real playability.

The joints are too soft and loose. . .

Yeah the website I use is just flickr, but they have a very good thing going there. . .

  2. Nice!!! God Phoenix. Is it the Bandai version?

No its the Uni-five vers. I never found the Bandai toy. . .

To be honest I've never seen the Bandai build, trust me if I did I would have both. . .

But I think it looks good too. . .

Its has been in the box for about a year or two. . .

  3. Drooollllll... that would so rock in my collection. Have you got picks of the uhh.. the F1? Sorry i have forgotten

his name (the 2nd in command that drove the F1 like car.) Only vaguely remember the show, although being

one of my most fav shows when i was a youngin.

I must get back into that anime again. It oozed coolness.

I'll see what I can do for you. . .

  4. In my experience, the people with the bigger collections of anything are the people who only have one real passion. macross fans buy just Macross stuff, Transformers fans TF stuff, etc etc. the people who have it harder are the guys like me; I'm a toy fan. i love Macross and stuff, but I'll buy any toy I think looks cool. And that all adds up, meaning u never have the biggest colletion of any one thing, just a lot of other collections.

I must agree with you there. . .

I collect alot of things and it takes serious self control to keep from going overboard.

But I still have a reasonably good sized Macross collection, I just don't have it all unpacked and displayed. :D

And about 90% of it is Yamato.

But all in all I think you hit it on the nose SM. . . . ;)

  5. Be cool boss, it's just watercooler talk and random fan speculation. B))

Only you now the full story, the real dirt.

You know like I know as soon as people see solid proto pics and hear more info they will flock to it like flys to sh!t. . . ;)

And until it hits the streets 'ya just gotta expect the dissing and gallons of hater-aid getting passed around.

I'm gonna buy one I just hope it comes with the fast packs upfront, Yamato stands to make alot of green either way.

But I hope they will cut us the collectors a little slack.

  6. I don't really think the detachable limbs gimmic is/will be a good idea.

Think about it, people are still hot off the arms on the VF-0's.

If you make the toy able to drop its limbs you run the chance of a very LARGE QC issue.

You know like I do it is possible to do it and do it well.

But if any of you guys get one with a faulty limb connection there would be hell to pay. . .

  7. I'll still get the first release if it comes with FP

    Ditto,

It has to either come with the fast packs, or at least the packs need to be sold at very near the same time.

But if they release the toy the same way they did the 19, no first edition unless it looks just that damn good.

So again we wait till we see some proto shots. . .

  8. Damn that mod looks hot!!! PsYcHoDyNaMiX you rock!!!!

That is the best original mod to I've seem in a while. . .

Think about it, it seems like it's really supposed to be that way, like it might have been part of the original design.

It just gives the 19 a whole other asthetic.

    Outstanding!!! :lol::lol::lol:

Now I'm thinking about doing the same thing. . .

  9. Got the demo, it's clearly for 16:9 HD. Can barely read the HUD. Sure hope there's other options in the full version. Anyways, for what is there:

Awe-inspiring. There are dozens and dozens of planes in the air. By far the biggest dogfight ever. In the demo you've got 99 AIM-9 and like 44 AIM-120. (F-16C, thought it looked like a bigmouth one, will check again) And I ran out of AMRAAMs. Zillions of planes all fighting it out over a big city on the coast. I was taking down F-4E's, Kfir's, Mirage 2000's, Su-33's, F-18F's. In the upper left corner is a "camera view" of your target, done in "green night-vision" etc. Similar situation in the upper right corner, only it's for communications---so you can actually see your wingman talking, etc. The afterburner effect is amazing, it's just perfect. White-hot/orange turbine, orange glow, purple tint around the edges. Missiles actually have rocket motors now that ignite and burn, no longer just a simple white smoke trail.

Also, it is just generally amazing graphically. The first couple seconds I thought were CG, but they're in-game. Music is as "AC-ish" as always.

PS---you probably want to switch "Yaw/throttle" to "reverse". It's set up backwards from all the other AC games. The triggers on a 360 controller just aren't as good as a PS2's shoulder buttons for flying, but I'd rather have yaw on the triggers. And I've spent many an hour holding down R1 for afterburner, so I want that as RB. :)

I'm with you DH, I love it!!!!!

I felt good to see it all so lifelike, it took me back to my airfield the days in Atsugi and riding the Indy. . .
