Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
RF-26AAC replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I will pop by Bandai USA HQ which happens to be about 3 miles from my house... Did anyone else notice the gun splits apart to reveal what I think is some kind of beam weapon barrel? -

How about some *good* Misa art; I just finished SDF:M (in japanese) for the first time last night and I'm hurtin for some Misa. Gah, I can't believe that whore Minmay, seriously. And I kept waiting for the Hikaru/Minmay SLAP and it NEVER CAME!!! I guess it is in DYRL. And I can't believe for all these years I thought Hikaru was cool, when he is completely insensitive and doesn't commit to Misa and keeps running to Minmay every time she beckons; it's ridiculous. '' it really is. Good lord, could you imagine being married to Minmay? Hayase was so much more considerate and nice (even if she is a tad jealous, I can't fault her for it) Gimme some Hikaru+Misa or Misa art please!!! -

It's called a HiAce and they're STILL AROUND and in production, and THEY LOOK ALMOST THE SAME #_# Take a look at the Toyota President or whatever that limo thing is called, it costs 100k, is still in production today and over its lifetime of 40 years it has gone through only TWO redesigns. Which goes to show, if something works really well in Japan they don't like to change it all that much... hence why the Miata stayed virtually the same from 89-99 #_# At least we don't have "ADALT TOY" shops; given that there were only 56,000 people on the SDF-1 there was a huge number of lingerie and adult stores in the background... I wanted to know, how is it that the VF-27 can make a 90* turn in space and move in straight lines while not losing speed, much like the Vajra can? Also, I am not sure if it has been covered, but what kind of Armor system does the VF-27 employ, or is it just a stronger barrier system like the VF-25 is equipped with? Thanks, RF-26 AAC -

That was my 2nd ROFL of the day, the first was seeing Exedol sing "My boyfriend is a pilot" XD ROFLCOPTER "ehhh kyuuun kyyuuuunn, kyuuuun kyuuuuuuunn.." god, the pantomime that went with it was the best.\ But in all seriousness what, short of either finding god or (taking a page from the human instrumentality project) unifying humanity through transcendence onto the next plane of existince, could Grace have been talking about with "we are doing what the protoculture couldn't accomplish in 500,000 years of history" and so on? -
That's a bit of an overstatement; I don't think I could ever close my heart to the love I feel for transforming airplanes <3 <3 <3 Don't lie, you'd still watch A bittersweet ending would suck and would not keep with the macross theme of achieving peace-- Sheryl dying wouldn't really promote that end.

Back on topic, what's the deal with the "bugger" form Vajra that fly everywhere, we haven't seen them before. Can we hazard a guess as to whether or not they are spaceflight capable or limited only to atmospheric flight? We also saw the queen's eye in this one... This contributes more to the starship troopers insect theme given how the things have compound eyes. It is still yet to be discovered whether the Vajra are a naturally occuring species that is freakin angry with us or if they were developed by the protoculture. I had a thought regarding Grace's motivation. She said they're out to accomplish something that the protoculture could not do in 500,000 years. I think -
The wings are only deployed sometimes; they must somehow internally generate thrust and the tail has a lot to do with it. I had a newbie question, WHO THE HELL are the Zolans and when did they come into the picture??

My girlfriend tells me that Minmay's music reminds her of the stuff her mother listens to. That and the opening theme, she says the old Macross OP reminds her of music the old people listen to. While it is good and catchy it is a touch dated, haha. I was telling her the other day that the japanese in SDFM is very clean and clear, versus some of the more modern anime series where crazy slang is involved and ridiculous things like "SUPER FUSION LOVE BOMB ATTACK" and really ridiculous overly dramatic dialouge... it only makes sense that music from the era is proper, clean hyojungo instead of a difficult to understand mess like oosakaben... Of course, I am rambling here but yeah. A good example of songs being confusing is "Seasons" by Utada Hikaru (IIRC, it was her or Amuro Namie), we spent like 20 minutes talking about WTF it meant before we finally figured out it was about how the singer's feelings about her boyfriend changed over the course of a year, but the lyrics alone wouldn't tell you that... It's funny how she can only give me a literal translation of stuff off the top of her head, while I figure out what the english approximation of that meaning is... Oye e_e Did anybody ever check that kid on youtube out?

My girlfriend tells me that though most Japanese songs have a theme to them, the message is nowhere near as clear as it is in english, often not making sense

Meh, Miss Hayase cheated on Riber with me a few years ago XD and we did a lot more than kiss XD XD XD No, but in all seriousness... Klan isn't single. Klan is the grudge. She doesn't forgive. She doesn't forget. :phear: -
Search Star Wars Action fleet. The little men that came with my SW:TF's are identical to the figures they used for Star Wars Action Fleet circa 1996. Speaking of which I have a Darth Vader if you're interested; $6 shipped. Best, RF-26

Michael is gone, friends. /pours a 40 onto the sidewalk This one's for you, homie.. Rest in peace, dude. There is no way in hell Michael survived; and frankly I wouldn't want him to. Kawamori would be one twisted f*ck to bring Michael back as a mostly-cyborg zombie courtesy of Grace and Co. It would make a mockery of his life. God, that would be so twisted, and make Klan destroy her zombified former love in battle! #_# Or worse yet, Vajra infested Michael! >_< Guys, we've lost a friend, and sure we've all had to cope, but let's accept that he's gone. I wouldn't want to see a Michael zombie by either Vajra or Grace and Co.. Perhaps the most we should see of him (if we ever see him again) is him at a closed-casket funeral or the silhouette of an EX-gear floating in space. Assuming the rest of our heroes fight through this particular battle successfully. -
Designed the RF-31 LRF today; but left the fold boosters out of the design for now but will add them in at some point. I have the sketches completed, just gotta get photos now. The leg and chest transformation is very similar to the old VF-1 but the arms take some cues from the VF-4 and VF-14 Vampire, hybridizing the SR-17 appearance with an F-117 Stealth Fighter, a little bit. The wings did what I wanted them to, by using a wing relocation assembly sourced from the YF-19. The forearms now double as auxiliary thrusters and as per the norm with valks, the fists are totally retractable. Gerwalk mode will not be too radically different from the VF-1. For continuity's sake I will also be inverting the wings I drew up so that it matches my original description of the craft. Most of the transformation is still consistent. Legs are FAST-pack equippable, and fold boosters (which will couple to the forearms) can be swapped out for alternate propulsion systems or omitted altogether. The forearms/shoulder assemblies are integrated into the rear delta wing. Twin vertical stabilizers are used, and attached to the forearms. I will have more for you all later. Thanks for letting me share with you
