I have recently been stricken with osme osrt of "Chogokin" bug and have ben buying the SOC sets up like mad. Personally, and so far, I am hooked on my Dancouga. However, I am awaiting a Combattler-V (Black version), Grendizer (Black version) and Great Mazinger "R" version...so my personal jury is still out. So what about you guys?
-
Does the GX-02B (Great Mazinger Black Version) have all the same "upgrades" as the GX-02R (Great Mazinger Renewal Version)? Can anyone tell me? I love the SOC stuff and want to make an informed buying decision.
-
Thanks Drifand. It's an incredibly cool toy...with that one, glaring exception.
-
How do you attach the Dancouga head securely? I can't seem to get his Eagle head on correctly. It kind of flops there. Any suggestions?

Can anyone show me a real good Soul of Chogokin website or checklist?

I just bought the BT-04 "Hound" (Jeep) Transformer and it's amazing. I'll post some pics soon, but it (along with the other Binaltech Transformers) looks amazing in vehicle AND robot mode. Highly poseable (for a transformer) and tons of excellent details. Is anyone out there collecting these?

Hellboy was as true to the comics as possible. I loved it. I agree, Abe was awesome, as was Kroennen. But HB was the real deal. I could see this becoming a real franchise. With any luck at all, this movie will make a ton of dough.

right now my only quest is to score a BPX-01 Yamato (Argo) from Bandai. Some sucker has one on eBay for $580, but that's a tad rich for my blood. -
I had two Low Viz in Gerwalk with FPs that fell from about 4 feet....absolutely nothing bad happened to them. Most of the armor came off, but no biggie. Yamato did a great job with the 1/48s. Now my 1/60s on the other hand.... Seems like if I breathe near them, something falls off.

I hear ya Nani, but have faith and be diligent on eBay. You may find a LV yet for a reasonable price. Good luck to you.
-
[Heh, don't you usually look for reviews BEFORE buying something?] That's pretty funny, man. I had faith. I have 4 low viz with armor, and they are simply perfect.

Just wanted to get some feedback on the 1/48 VF-1J Super, cuz I just dropped close to $200 on one. If someone can point me to a review, that would be cool too. Thanks in advance everyone.

Kanata, I wish you all the luck in the world. This, as all things, will pass and you will be wiser and stronger for having suffered through it. Hope to see you posting real soon. Brett

Hey, thanks everyone. This is all great stuff. I'll be doing some ordering shortly!
-
Any help at all....? Just looking for some direction....(I'm not a "model" guy, just want to build some diorama stuff for my 1/48 Yamatos)
-
Hey all, Forgive the "newbie" question (I am MW regular, but only in the "toy" section) I want to add some diorama pieces to my collection, as well as ground crew, infantry, etc...I am sure I need to go to a hobby store/model store, but are there any suggestions of manufacturers or online sites? I know about the Hasegawa ground crew, but what else is out there? Cityscapes, terrain, support vehicles? Any and all suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance!
-
I checked all three, but I primarily look to the 1/60 and 1/48 line...as I'm certain most collector's do. If there is a particularly cool 1/72, I'll pick it up.

Incredibly cool option set. Great job.
