No, Brera was in the picture, as well. The question is whether or not he still is her brother. I don't know how much of him is actually human, if anything at all.
He was? How did I miss that... Either way, it's still intriguing. But I agree, he may have been created, though IMO I think he was originally human.

Brera can wear super low cut pants without exposing his...

Maybe he's like a dog.

Always did wonder about those pants. No innuendos/pun intended.
Brera may not trust Alto protecting Ranka, and vice versa. Though it may be more one sided.
I also think it's very likely that Brera is Ranka's brother, but the picture Alto found in Global (If I remember correctly) had only Ranka and presumably her parents. But the man had yellow hair. It's very intriguing. I think there might an episode dedicated or mostly dedicated to this. (Next episode?)

Well...I've been watching a lot of anime lately, and most I liked and some I didn't. I'll start with one I didn't like.
Blade of the Immortal, I haven't read the manga, but I decided to check out the anime since a lot of people have been praising the anime in their comments. The art work didn't look that bad either. But I became extremely bored throughout the episode. In my opinion, I became too bored and had to stop half way through. I guess historical anime just isn't my type.
Another one which I didn't like, was Code Geass. I'm surprised at how many people love Code Geass. It was amusing at times, but I just didn't get into the plot that easily. It's very contemporary, and my logic kept on butting in at every possible moment. Such as how could the government of the Chinese empire(?) resort to wearing traditional clothes after possibly 500 years? Or how could the social behavior of most Britannians devolve into a common Roman so quickly? I know there are people who love this anime, and I'm not trying to start a fight. I guess anime which conflict with logic on a large scale don't appeal to me.
But what I did like was Nogizaka Haruka No Himitsu. It's funny, and I'm a sucker for good romance anime. Too many blushes to count in each episode, and very light hearted. It's also set in present day Tokyo, and I like it when anime take a contemporary or futuristic turn. Hidden secrets are good too.
And I just finished watching Vampire Knight, I cannot even begin. I've read the manga, and I must say the anime follows the manga very well. The love triangle is very complicated, and it's contemporary with a supernatural twist. The plot is very complicated and it can twist and bend at any given moment. Now this, my friends, is artwork of the highest level. /melodrama
There are a bunch more, like Macross Frontier/Zero/Plus, but I think this is more than enough. Dx

Just watched the one on veoh.
This episode has a different sort of feel compared to other episodes. Or it could've been since I was half asleep. I see the AltoxSheryl part of the triangle has developed a tiny bit. (nooooooooo) And I hope next episode we find out more about Brera. Tiny Ranka, cute!
Could it be that Brera has some sort of emotion chip? I believe there were androids in Macross Plus, but I haven't been able to watch the OVA =[. I think Brera has emotions to some extent, or is an cyborg, not an android. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong...My head's a bit sleepy now.
