  1. Too late. The ban-hammer has already started to come down on those that criticize the hack-and-slash idea...as expected. From RT forum
  2. Had a BLAST!!! Will post pics later today. Thanks KiriK, EXO, Save, Maiden Japan, UCLA's JAC volunteers (Philip, Joe, etc...) and ALL the other event organizers who's names I can't remember- You guys did a SUPERB JOB!!!!!!!!! Very well executed program, wonderful location, and the price was right So much to say... so little time right now. Just wanted to express THANKS from me and my family. Viv Joe Miriya (aka Mimi) and Max
  3. This is the last time I sit around unable to sleep, bored, and try to read some 4 pages of new posts of this thread on my bleeping iPod Touch browser. Owee my eyes, owee my head! Anyway, *waves* to Jasonc. Healthy debates! Keep 'em coming!
  4. Jason... just to clarify, it's Michael doing his acoustic set, not his full band. I pointed this out on the RT forum: for whatever reason, HG decided to make an announcement today on their homepage that the start time is 3pm.... outside of that blurb on the homepage, every notice has said 10am-10pm. Michael said he wanted to perform in afternoon- before it gets too chilly since they set the stage outside (for him and everyone watching) and didn't have to worry about lights. Now he's being told to perform at 5pm. I hope it's not to wait on other people. We had not planned on staying late. Bring your coats I guess.
  5. OMG, LOL! I just noticed what was being talked about in this thread. yikes indeed *watches hubby put the shotgun on display on the wall for everyone to see*
  6. For me, my fandom history was the opposite... discovered Robotech first (original 1985 TV airings), Macross after (bootleg DYRL all in Japanese on a crappy VHS recording when it first found it's way here in the U.S. - whoa Rick slapped Minmay but I didn't understand the Japanese dialogue to understand why!, then Macross II, Plus etc at AX cons). Anywaaaaay... I'll be bringing a non-Robotech item: the Megahouse Yellow Belmont Variable Action figure. The 241 will be presenting it as a group to Michael Bradley. It's the first and only toy (so far) that features the original purple hair "Yellow" character that his Robotech namesake came from. See you guys Saturday.
  7. Thanks for the reply to my question! It's been FOREVER since I've seen Mac7, and I've never read the manga. I actually have the Fire Bomber English soundtrack and dare I say, I like it. Of course, not as much as the original Japanese version. So... it wasn't Macross II (2) "Megaroad". I wonder why they took the time to draw out (very detailed) an elusive Macross 11 versus the other colony fleets out there like Macross 7, or even flash a scene to Planet Eden! Anyway. Still a great episode... a great entire series! Sad it's over (for now)
  8. Ok..... great Finale episode. Soooo much to discuss... but alot has already been posted int he 50+ pages!!! MY QUESTION!!!!!!! - When Grace successfully accessed the power of the fold quartz capabilities to network the entire UNIVERSE via the Queen, we see her able to open up fold portals to Earth where we see the SDF-1.... but did anyone else notice the other location shown where they show another MACROSS ???!!!! Macross 11 (as translated in the version/download I had), but was that suppose to be Macross II (roman numeral 2) as in the SDF-2?? AS IN THE MEGAROAD??!!!!! What the hell?? Maybe I was seeing things?? If not, what the heck is the Macross 11 (eleven)?? Someone slap me silly for seeing things to calm me down... or validate me in my wishful thinking!
  9. Ah! Yes, sorry for any confusion. My kids don't have screen-names on here. I should make a note in the picture to clarify EDIT: * made a little note and updated the pic. Yeah, I thought so too... like a full length video of the day, I think?? So far, only vids I know of are of Ranka, Boobytrap, and the Raffle Drawing.
  10. Hmmm, I was thinking the same thing. Well, I met alot of people that day, but I'm lost on all the screen names/handles/alias on here So, here's what I safely know misterryno has a bunch of good group shots if anyone wants to edit names in *hint-hint*
  11. Yep, there's a video on YouTube. My hubby RazorX put the link in the "con info" thread a few days back. Guess it was not posted here. So here you go! BE SURE TO CLICK ON THE "WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY" (under the Views count). If you have high speed internet, this is the way to watch the video ;-) As a Robotech fan, ruskiiFaussie, you might be familiar with Michael Bradley (singing voice for Yellow Dancer). Miriya also has a YouTube of her singing with him the song "Underground" from Robotech: The Movie. (minus the green wig haha!) I do recognize your RT s/n. Hee!!
