Valks with individual articulated toes == evil Is so laughable perhaps the VB-6 Koenig is more evil cuz it's satan. Nora's SV-51's reddish color scheme could be some pre conditioned part of our brains to automatically associate ace pilots like the Red Baron. The three toe foot design is a distinctive quality that probably Kawamori chose to fill a gap of enemy mechs that another note worth mech designer whom I'm forgetting his name (responsible for all the enemy mechs in the SDF TV series) had a unique approach to design to counter Kawamori's.

Did anyone mention to Mr. K if there will be substantial amount of tampo printing on the YF-19 which may perhaps equate the higher asking price?

It's a shrine to the q-rau since the VF-22 was inspired by it.

They are the awesome awright!

I love the custom vf-22 color scheme but the extra munitions and fast packs make it look ghettofiably fugly.

The gimmicky leg transfer would have been one of many factors for me to acquire their 1/72 scale offering. The other factors boils down to the look of all three modes which Bandai has a tendency of dummifying the design and in turn detracted any potential purchase. They fü¢|<ed up their chances of expanding that line and a version two can only redeem Bandai's poor decision of compromising the aesthetic look of the Valkyrie. You think they had learned from the DX version 1s!

If I had money to burn and space to display them then I would go deck out each Valkyrie with armor and fast packs. Fast pcks and armor are after thoughts IMO. Acquiring the Valkyrie as the platform to display the optional armaments is the biggest problem I have for this series and I'm sure that I'm preaching to the choir regarding the frustration of the limited runs or exclusive releases Bandai puts out.

One in every mode is how I roll but I broke that rule since the 171 has a nice lookin fighter mode I had to get another in naked mode.

Time to throw in some toy porn, my latest haul.

I associate with a bunch of artists so I have a circle of people who picked up peculiar hobbies from old lunch pales to guns. So whoever questions or criticize me for my nerdy collection they could go suck one. I do agree with one of the posters that presentation is key and I find that a handful of MW members go out of their way to make their collection clean and presentable. I look at some famous collectors like Coop and Kirk Hammett (yes of Metallica fame) as a model for curating and maintaining their impressive toy collections. A fellow artist turned me onto Collection Intervention and that show really illiustrates the donts of hobby collecting. When your collection is being displayed on the floor that would be the first signs of a problem.

To think that it took a company buy out, two iterations of different scales and over 10 years of MW moaning & groaning, we finally get a master piece! Bravo! This tops the Vf-4 by a land slide. Here's hoping they improve on the 21 Omega.

It's a tedious process of getting a shipping company and coordinating it with a US customs broker assuming you preside in the "land of the fee and home of the slave." And yes, they do mean residential. The shipment needs to arrive at a designated warehouse so a customs representative can collect duties for the shipment and hand you the Bill of Lading which represents a limited custody of your shipment which all means it is their responsibility to ensure that the items get to you safely. Oh also a delivery contractor is usually at the warehouse premises in case you cannot haul it on your own.

Value speculation: Will Arcadia devalue 98% of Yamato releases?
s_i_t_h_l_o_r_d replied to Gakken85's topic in Toys
The 1/48ths might never be a re-release candidate for Arcadia. The 1/60th VF-1 versions are far better but with that said I'm still gonna hang on to my 1/48 squadron. Here's hoping that they reissue the SDF1 and perhaps completing the line of destroids. -
Is that Beatrix Kiddo's valk?
-
wow and the lil' Isamu pilot has a ball joint for his neck? Am I seeing this correctly? So far everything I would hope for sans the 1/48 scale. oh it's a helmetless Isamu... Would've been cool though to have the pilot's head swivel to add an extra sense of realism like swiveling front landing gears.

The model number is the S-800.
-
Well I've got the room for 5 but the discount by bulk is why I purchased that many.

Version 2 of the VF-1 1/48 perfect transformation line with removable panels to reveal internal avionics inspired by an early rendition of it made by 1/48 Club M. 1/48 YF-19 with swing wing capability and hard points. It would be more likely to be a limited exclusive like the VF-4 1/60 battle pods. Version 2 of the 1/60 Mac Zero line.

Nice! I hope to read parts 6 & 7.

I got them from Allpower Displays. Really rock solid construction. The frame is all aluminum and the tops and bottoms of the case is MDF. I opted to go for the LED lights instead of halogen; added caster wheels to go with the adjustable feet and locks are standard for this particular glass cabinet. I haven't tallied the final the grand amount for each cabinet since I bought 5 of them but I speculate the ballpark figure including shipping and customs to be around $600 a piece. And of course by purchasing in bulk, the price would scale down per unit. The shelves can accommodate a hefty sum of expensive valks as you can see from the picture it can display 6 1/48s and 9 1/60 of its' counterpart. Yeah, I think that if you're going to enjoy them might as well display it under controlled conditions without the dust and UV rays harming your investment.

Thanks! I've seen the some of the members posting their impressive collections for a couple of years now and I finally got around to unpacking my collection from the move I've made two years ago! It was tedious but I'm still just 1/2 way done.

My updated collection and newly acquired display cases.

It was Macross plus that had started it off for Yamato/Toycom back in the day with their 1/72 lineup. I guess old habits are hard to break.
