I have double trouble...
First is displaying the 1/48, 1/60 and 1/72 on shelves...
Next is their huge boxes by Yamato...they are under my bed, in the closet, under my desk...
Any good suggestions?
Paulo
I keep all my opened Bandai & Yammie boxes folded up and the plastic trays stacked up in one or in this case make it two big HLJ boxes. As for the boxes with styrofoam trays there's only one way to solve that, move into a bigger pad!

this might as well be my permanent signature but I would be thrilled to see the Stampede Valk make a debut in toyform; 1/60 th or any scale for that matter.

pics & detailed review please... anyone... Graham?

My top 10 concerns for the ultimate VF-1
1) I would like to see or prefer more detail on the radar dish rather than the sticker approach
2) I think its possible to have the nosecone actually swing open
3) Articulated hands needs to be less floppy
4) The back landing gear lights need to have some back panel. I don't like the see thru light and looks ugly when retracted.
5) The hatch above the valk needs to be more securely placed when transformend in Gerwalk and Battroid mode. The hatch pops open when the hook is used to securely place the tailfin back packs.
6) If they have a gimmick like side covers in battroid mode, well they should think of a better solution to make those panels stay in their positions. One little adjustment and they pop out their tabs or latches.
7) If there is a possible way to make the feet thruster look like Hasegawas then the 1/48 would be nearly perfect.
The nose cone bay for the leg attachments, those pegs are really hard to get at when transforming it back to fighter. If Yamato can devise a way to make those accessible like a small protrusion or lever to flip it back much more easily.9) The detail on the back pack air intakes looks like a retro design maybe perhaps change it to more like Hasegawas
10) I would like to see a better turbine fan in the jet intakes rather than a facade it looks to flat, it needs some depth.

The second series is supposed to be released in February 04 and I've made it clear that we want MORE!!
Second series meaning all new characters or a reissue of the current figs? Well I hope this turns on a light bulb for Yamato & give us fans some figs to be desired.
Let me clarify I hope that Yamato will follow suit and make their own figs, sorry for the confusion.

I suppose you also wanted the SDF-1 to be destroyed (along with the rest of Macross City). I think the ending of Macross Plus (and the Movie Edition) were great (with the M.E version a lot better). B)
agreed!
The tragic heroism from Guld was much more emphasized in the movie edition. I just don't know why they had to cut off the yf-19 abd 21 sparring in the mock city testing grounds. I've wondered what it would be like if the series and movie were edited together to one complete kick-ass non-stop action & mellow drama.

Maybe have the legs of the destroids should be detailed enough to see the actual mechanical movements like the old Dougram toys whose legs were spring loaded.
Probably have a clean version and a battle damage version of the destroids.
Throw in actual official or canon support vehicles would really enhance and give each destroid a sense of scale.
LED lights on known designated areas for each destroid.
Use Takatokus approach of having an exoskeleton facade to convert any destoid desired.
Push it up to a 1/48 and give everyone in this thread what they want in their destroids

tuff call but I would say my 1/35 legioss collection by a razor thin lead to my 1/48 Yammies.

Well I hope he can reconsider later down the road, thanks Shawn for the update.

As I recall, last I saw a pic of the Q-rau and a 1/48 together in a pic, I saw that the 1/48 only reached below the chest area.

because my 1/48s are naked without it. Imaginary firepower is all that its about.

purple people eater.... or in alta vistas translation "flying eggplant machine"

1/48 all the way! Someone did say after all the 1/60 th scale is all said & done for the DYRL series including enemy mechs & destroids that the perfered scale for Yamato will be 1/72 and 1/48. I don't know why everybody is complaining about size when the 1/60th Quad Raus will probably tower over the 1/48 YF-19. Even 1/60th Monster will take up more real estate than a 1/48 yf-19.

looks really awesome
-
almost 200 bucks or $195 to be exact
-
Must be a Yamato leak cuz I see fastpacks attached to those 1/48s in the background
.... but then again maybe it was seen at some sort of hobby show. It looks awesome though

nah not gonna buy it... not gonna buy it... not gonna buy it
-
Is there a quicktime version of it? WMF is a piece of crap in my machine.

I think the scale is 1/55. I don't own the smaller ones because of how awful it looks in fighter mode IMO. Soldier mode looks pretty decent. Congrats on the win, 41 pounds is what like $60 US.

If you happen to get in contact with him, I would be definitely be interested.

A thought about display stands.
