  1. Saw an ebay auction with these pics I like big boxes and I cannot lie... all other boxes just come up shy...
  2. sweet! Any chance Graham you scoring several of 'em? If you happen to get some from Yamato raffle em off here and the lucky winner would have to buy it from ya!
  3. Those are real tempting! I would love to customize one of my 1/48 to that top pic you posted! Did you say these decals are $35 each?
  4. Any shots of that beaut in battroid, Tamim? To bad that it only has the 1A head unit. Someone's bound to customize & paint this thing blue.
  5. looks good! Speaking for the advocation of a 1/48 line, can Yamato make that into a 1/48?
  6. That's actually outdated news now. Things change. Watch this space for news!!!!!!!!! Graham 1/60th lives? No complaints here if Yamato ever decides to cater to that scale for the Mac+ I'm first on the list. 1/48 isn't such a big stretch of the imagination for Yamato since they've created the Monster or even helmets & pilot gear for that matter. It may take a corner of the house and mark its territory but if Yamato is catering to fans who buy such big ticket items then it wouldn't be impossible for them to create to what I think is the ultimate valk. 7. Wow no mention of Kostner's stellar performance in the... (in Simpson's comic book guy voice) Worst Movie Ever! Waterworld & The Postman has to be the most laughable POS ideas that ever made it across the minds of executives in Hollywood and to think the Wachiosky Bros was going to pick him for Neo in the Matrix of course Keanu wouldn't be my first pick either! One look at those trailers as I remember just made me want to laugh & throw-up at the same time but Battlefield Earth must've taken a Razzie Award, no doubt! So for me it's these so far Battlefield Earth The Postman Waterworld Freddy Got Fingered?
  8. yes this topic has been brought-up before... but all that can be said about the bigger versions is that Yamato will only release two scales after the 1/60th line is done which is 1/48 and 1/72.
  9. good 2 have u on board drummer all the valk releases after the vf-1a max has all the fixes. The Hikaru vf-1s has the concave head-rest and new plastic pilot like the low-viz & landing gear tabs are totally gone & easier to open.
  10. Hey Vic Kudos to you for being courages enough to show us your latest experiment. Did you use an airbrush to paint the majority of the piece? It looks as though you had used a spray can to paint the chest area with that heavy granulated effect, this maybe a result spraying to heavily from one coat of paint. Investing in a good aribrush would eliminate having to use a paintbrush on large sections of the model and eliminate all the tell-tale signs of where a paitbrush have been applied. Refer to WMCheng's threads to get all the info on what masking products, paints & of course his great artistic touch by adding weathering effects to his models. I'm sure learning alot from the master! Eric
  11. chic-bot statue hmmm... its like Transformers Unleashed instead of Star Wars. Nice scupt though!
  12. Nice collection & that display case really looks awesome especially the lights.
  13. I accept the fact that fast-packs were only designed for space use of course I have no choice in the matter since it has already been stated by Kawamori. Imagine for a minute that the computer avionics behind the VF-1 is so advanced that it might not even be dependent on vertical stabilizers and the point I'm getting at is that the fast packs probably can fly in the atmosphere given if the VF-1 technology has the fly-by-wire capability. I mean, it needs the computer to have control over the VF-1 in battroid mode which is almost impossible to control on the ground much less in mi-air if everything was controlled by a lever or a switch. The computer will control most of the the unstable nature of the valk and free up a lot of the manual guidance controls that the pilot could or might have been overburdened with. With that being said, the computer can also control the thrust of the faspacks and manuevering jets to stabilize the valk in the atmosphere. So it maybe possible to have fastpacks fly thru the atmosphere but not practical for its aerodynamic inefficiencies and probably become a sitting duck rather than a booby duck for the enemy's gunsight.
  14. Could be a sensor as Graham has stated or some sort of connecting mechanism that stabilizes it in fighter mode. A pez dispenser is probably top on the theories list next to the flatulent vent!
  15. It's funny to see Stick/Bernard lunge forward in mid-air on his cyclone and do a cart wheel to get into soldier mode. 80s special effects is quite possibly an emerging cult phenemenon!
  16. Welcome aboard CID IIRC that you had posted or PM me to say you lived in Houston right? But anyways pretty clean web site not to cluttery and straight forward as for your collection, two words describe it AWE-SOME! OK its a stretch to describe your pride & joy, but its great that you finally admit you have a problem and officially registered as MW member!
  17. it's a safe, that Yamato might release a black escaflowne hopefully with a Hitomi & Vaughn scale figure. I hate to see a pilotless dragon escaflowne.
  18. I'm down with JM DYRL or replicant. Will it include replacement decals that are on the JM already (IIRC) i.e. air intake decals
  19. Wow these are awesome! Shawn you should have these available on your site under "funny misc. videos". If you happen to run across any old Gakken commercials of Legioss or Mospeada please post-em.
  20. nice collection MJ... It's always nice to see what everybody has and you've got quite an array of HTF items... and a lotta work especially those 1/60 gundams. I only have two PG Zetas. 1/72 & 1/100 is the bulk of my collection. I'll post pics soon.
