  1. no need 2 appologize everyone's entitle 2 their opninion. There are some toys that use die-cast feet 1/40 Orguss to name one IIRC Dougram's Blockhead?
  2. I got mine yesterday. and I was I was surprised how light this toys were. No die-cast at all which makes it so unbelievably light considering it's whopping size. First off, improvements needed on this toy is sure enough die cast. I'd figure the perfect place for that content would be the feet and fore-arms to distribute weight to the front of the mech. The die-cast could extend to the lower limbs of the legs but that's alot of die-cast. of course, I would be happy if they made it and also to justify the price. Second, Miria is as articulated much like our beloved "Dubbya" Bush in his ability to answer questionaires the reporters throw at him. Yamato needs to put a little more effort and I knew ahead of time that this was a small drawback of the toy but not much to sway my decision . I thought it wouldn't matter at all if the figure lacked articulation because it would compensate for the Q-Rau's engineering, and so I thought. Third, maybe it's just me but the interior shots is good when the cockpit hatch is opened until you looked down the hole that Mirria slips into. Really hollow, you could make piggy bank with the amount of space there. I suggest that Yamato cap it off with a plastic mold for the the Millia figure to fit in and it would enchance the toy even further. Fourth, the feet I thought the heels of the feet were racheted pivot points but it turns out to be just a fixed object. Of course I did mention that the feet needed to be die-cast, I think the heels just need to be plastic if it were moveable. I was kinda glad that Yamato finally made an enemy mech for once but also disappointed by the over-all quality and lack of attention that they put into making it. The only upside to this, that it is the first toy of it's kind which kinda alleviates the sting for such a hefty price.
  3. The statements I made where not in defense to whatever side you think I have taken, it was a question regarding a comparison between two differnt products IMO. I don't know how you would justify the two being the same? Anyways I would, in no doubt, would like the Q-Rau for a cheaper price and that's just plain common sense, who wouldn't? But I think with the MSRP as it stands, it is a reasonable price.
  4. uuhhh what can i say but simply awesome!
  5. How can you begin to compare Spiderman; which has a bigger fan base; which in turn a bigger toy production run; which gets cheaper by the dozen when more is being produced, to a small % fan base such as Macross.
  6. Man mechafan those vf-1 joke machine collection is awesome! Love that vf-1d!
  7. Chan's got one impressive collection. All fast packs now that's an impressive show of firepower... and the witch hunt continues!
  8. They cry 'expensive' because they don't realize the production run for most of Yamatos 's toys are limited and not as big as Gundam, for example. The fan base also determines the price because of the small market niche that Macross has established. The limited distribution of the product is also a major drawback because if Yamato could supply a bigger market overseas then they would have no problem with lowereing the prices but since HG exists then you're forced to pay the expenses. Bitchin only realizes the problem but it can't solve 'em. Only the legal and toy manufacture's interest can alleviate that problem.
  9. GOOD LAWD...! And I thought I was bad. I put that link into my favorites. So next time I feel guilty for spending 300-400$ on Macross Toys I'll pay Sithlord's site a little visit. Oh man, I knew it! I'm cannon fodder for all guys whose girlfriends & wives bitch at their spending and all they have in their defense is to show my collection and tell 'em "I'm not as bad as this guy!"
  10. Apu, no Mac plus for your collection or do you have those already?
  11. Millia attempting to put make-up on before she goes to battle.
  12. So perhaps Yamato can make one of those orguss type armor on the vf-1. It would be too far fetched but it's there in the anime just lack of recognition from the fans that could associate it with the show. Anyways, I thought that the animators at Tatsunoko where doing this as joke and threw that orguss type in there. IIRC, they were doing the Orguss TV series at the same time they were working on the Macross TV series.
  13. Hopefully Sakuragawa-san will eventually make this for Yamato under the VF-X licence. But if you can Melissa and track the Holy Grail I would also like to be on the list. Also, you can check to see D-stance progress on his VB-6 endeavor here. I've tried several times to get in contact with him but I don't know if he really exists! Give him a shout at anyways and try your female persuasion. Best of luck Eric
  14. I hear ya! My budget is in scale with US goverment in military spending 1/10,000,000,000,000th scale
  15. I see one difference it has velcro behind the face cover, cuz I don't have any of those on mine.
  16. I voted for the Nousjadeul-Ger DYRL but Battlepods would be cool and 2nd on my list.
  17. Yes 1/48 vf-1d or a 1/48 armored valk! Those are a must!
  18. I can't wait to get mine but what's missing here? Aren't there decals or stickers to this toy?
  19. its a 1/100 IHP vb-6 Koenig otherwise known an as King of all valks
  20. the pic is chan's collection. simply amazing!
  21. I'm down with this, in fact each cusomizer should have his step by step attached to his/her pics!
  22. I wonder if condensation will be a major drawback with this setup? I heard rumors of some company developing a gel cooling system and encapsulating the prcessor chip in it. I don't know if it's AMD or IBM developing this method.
