really nice designs... I might have to whip out a couple and try my skills at CS3 photoshop and use their 3D feature.

You just gave Yamato an excuse to dip into my pocket! I can see Yamato making this! Cool Custom!
-
discounts of any kind is a no brainer... with the falling dollar anything is good! It would be interesting to see if Yamato takes a step in this direction which could ultimately mean that the majority of their clients is outside of Japan.

I'm wondering whether this mod goes all the way to modding a bike! Cool so far.

Speaking of königs', has anyone tried to custom paint a whole different paint scheme?

1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?

ehh so much for my evil jedi mind tricks! -
No... looks more from what Kawamori's despised and bastardized version of the VF-1, the VF-2SS.
-
My opinion and let me reiterate: 1/48s = perfect grade 1/60s = master grade bring on the 1/48 YF-19!!!
-
I'd like to see the 1/48 recreations of Hikaru & crew; cool shall I say, "cosplay" for your 1/48 BTW!

you could let loose a couple of those low viz 1 for me!... or maybe just one! -
steady.... steady.... *snap* DOH!!!
-
I had the same thought.. although in the OVA Sara does her freak out in the 1st episode and a storm of feathers surround her as the approaching dog fight sequence gets underway.
-
black is the new tan... for the YF-19 of course

It's a quality product. I'm amazed at the engineering design that went on this product. Combiners aren't usually dynamic in the pose-ability department but they make up that flaw in the detail that was put in it. Out of all the super robot combiners I own thus far Voltes V Dancouga Gunbuster Aquarion have been on the top of the list of course until SOC GX-39 Baikanfu comes in the mail then... who knows

lots of nostalgia: the trash picking robots from DYRL asteroid battle scene of M+ BSGish M7 fleet Alto's scene with Ranka and the pilotless valk reminiscent of Shin & Mao scene in jungle in M0 VF-25 with fastpacks looks like a VF-2SS from MII some laughable parts: Fairy Fleet We obvioulsly still use phones with dial tones in the future, wow we haven't progress from having the phone on the desk. Ranka's version of Guvaba as a farting phone I was hoping this was a TV series and now I find the next episode in 2008!? Ah well, we'll finally see Yamato's rendition of the VF-17! yay!

I think the 1/48 scale line will be around but I would venture a guess that it would be a premium product from Yamato from now on. Yamato has made a considerable amount of cash from the 1/48 line and it would be stoooopid of them to dump it. There is a market for the 1/48 and... oh I'd say going on three years now that percentage may perhaps be the majority of their sales! So I'm hoping that the YF-19 all the way down will get the 1/48 scale treatment which would equate to a "Perfect Grade" to all you Gundam freaks!

I'm all for that! -
Yes it means, Yamato has the technology or in this case, Chinese labor to pull off a challenging production run, Here's hopin' they don't mess up on QC

so far we've spotted 3 gimmicky features The hinged bottom tail fins to accomodate GPB armor The double hinged elbow joints Speculative telescoping canopy and I'll throw in that the nose will be similar to those of the SV-51, magnetized & hinged and it will present a GPB armor with sufficient or exact proportions of what was conceptualized on paper without the Ron Jeremy approach to the already bulky armor. -

They could go with the old boxes of yore but something tells me they've fallen trap to the flip-top style box and I'm bettin' that the fast pack attachments are all magnetized, of course for few exceptions. -

Well someone brought up in a previous post by making the box smaller but someone else posted that Yamato likes their boxes the same throughout the whole line which would make economic sense. A whole new repackaging will cost them and if they kept the same box format it would have to mean... that the big volume within that same box will NOT justify the small content. So fastpacks ihas to be included and it does not necessarily have to be as comprehensively detailed as the 1/48s. Just enough to be as detailed as the rest of the recent 1/60th line. -

If Yamato keeps the same BOX format as the other recent 1/60 releases and their 1/48 line, they'll have to INCLUDE fastpacks. This would make sense cuz no one's gonna pay over $100 alone for just the itty-bitty fighter! -

Yamato is reinventing its' ugly past! It makes sense for yamato to re-make the vf-1 since the original 1/60 was sculpted by the same guy who did the the 1/72 yammies
