  1. Now I could fall asleep mid-way thru the movie and dream in hi-def! sweet!
  2. Victimized and helpless for any news is why we fall for such viciousness. I don't know what's worse for me being a Macross fan or a Mac fan. Both tends to keep upcoming products beneath their vest.
  3. I forgot to put "not" in between the two words. "by (not) fiddling through the transformation"
  4. The hatch has been designed to be so flush with the outer hull chassis that the bottom corners of the hatch has protrusions which prevents it from opening when transformed and locked down in slave mode. I find it to be a flaw on the original toy and you'll have to lift the whole chest area to even open the hatch.
  5. The proto version is clearly an improvement and I was surprised that the cockpit hatch opens in slave(robot) mode by fiddling through the transformation to get it open. Detail is also stepped up even having side to side rear view mirrors.
  6. I definitely would be interested if they could cater to such a small portion of consumers in an already niche market. I can't see why they can't do it since they've offered 1:1 scale helmets and flight suits! This would be really cool and hopefully extend the 1/48 line to accommodate the Mac Plus line of valks since the detail of the 1/60 th version of the YF-19 is a step up to their old 1/48 VF-1. I can imagine the level of detail will be so extraordinary that it will put 1/60 th counterpart to shame.
  7. It depends on what you're doing... gamers like PC of which is understandable but if you want to get work done especially in the creative field... there's no doubt it's got to be a Mac. Resale value on a Mac laptop is favorable especially the intel versions. Although the powerbook 12" g4 is still holding it's value after being discontinued for more than 2 years now. As far as the money sink issue, it's all myth and a bait to start a Mac & PC flame war. If you want some advice go with a Mac laptop... It holds its' value and it's a good supplement for future upgrades.
  8. You can do lots of poses. However, the Deunan fig will give you all the poses but look totally unappealing after an A stance or possibly a round-house kick to the chin pose while making the crotch area look as if she's wearing an old sailor's one-piece pajama suit which makes her look like a granny. Although, the poses that I was able to achieve was done thru the aid of the stand, there to top heavy especially Briareos, so poses where the ankles lean forward to a certain degree will make it tumble. Deunan also suffers from the ankle socket disorder. The hands on Briareos tend to fall off from their sockets when it gets to handle the big gun. I bet those 1/10 fig will have a better overall look to pose-ability than the stepped up versions...
  9. I just got mine from Cornercomics in Anaheim and the Deunan fig had missing parts: The left and right hand joint thingy and the muzzle for the gun... I'm getting a replacement from them and I didn't know until the sales rep from the store had informed me that the US distributor involved is Sideshow. I was stoked getting it but the quality control for this toys just leave me wondering how HotToys stay in business cuz before this purchase I had bought the t-800 exoskeltons which was alight until one of the fingers broke... the knee joints where loose and other host of problems... Also the HT T-800s doesn't come up to par with Aoshimas
  10. Gunbuster? I was thinking more like Aquarion but I don't know whether that's branded under the SOC moniker... I know it has quite a bit of diecast and the engineering is quite impressive and they had carefully thought out where to place the die-cast so to not cause any of the ill-effects of paint chipping and such. It is quite a well designed toy!
  11. haha! Now if Syd Mead was present to wear the Turn A Gundam stache it would be so awesome!
  12. There's no question that Bandai needs to bring their "A-game" to the table and it helps by having Yamato give the Gundam boys a run for their money. Also, it goes without saying that it is advantageous for the consumer to have both companies competing for our money. Bandai, back in the day didn't have an air of immediacy nor the incentive to improve on the Macross license because they were the only game in town. It's quite surprising to have Bandai go with the 1/60th line and it looks to be taking a shot at Yamato to take their game up a notch by introducing all sort of gimmicky stuff that Bandai has been doing for years. What annoys me about Bandai is their approach to fill the demand by dumping re-issues after re-issues in what they consider a small niche market. They finally awakened by the fact that there is a big market for Macross and thanks to Yamato's success, Bandai needs to rethink about the Macross brand and have a portion of their employees wear the "UN-SPACY" insignia.
  13. get the FP version... it has all the fixes. Although they may have fixed the reishs'
  14. I like the Revs' sculpt much better. It has a dynamic look to them especially the 21 unlike the Gnu's version it just looks lifeless next to it. But being a completist, I'll have to buy both but I'll wait till the GNU's go on sale!!
  15. I like revotech's offering but I may have to pick up the gnu vf-11 if the revo doesn't come out with one. The 21 and 19 doesn't look dynamic in appearance to revo's rendition
  16. wow great news... lets hope they expand the Macross brand to Perfect Grade products!
  17. definite buy on the revoltechs! Now that is how my YF-19 should look like
  18. It's like wishing for a Millenium Falcon for x-mas when you were 8 years old but the old folks say its' way too expensive... that's how this one kinda feels. Never gonna happen....
  19. Yeah it would be cool but NO.... I was thinking more like a disected part of the ship like the hanger stuff... maybe a rendition of the Macross Factory... dayum forgot that!
  20. I threw that in there to see who would go for the idea...
