  1. I believe it's a solid piece... and as far as troyness review... I agree in some cases but there is one gripe he has with and that's the connection between the front armor and the connection to the back piece when rider has been placed in. I've had problems with that in the beginning but when I finally broke down and looked at the manual, I had overlooked one crucial step and that's the back armor of the rider which needs to sit perfectly in place by three hook and latch connections between rider's back and armor. Then the connection issue should be resolved by then and you will hear an audible click on the side armors but I don't remember hearing a click on the connection issue that you have with the crotch in ride armor. Mine sits perfectly well on both items that I've opened, so no probs here. The rider's head was an issue for me but that was solved easily. As far as a toy... well Yamato's line are all toys and their as fragile as this toy and I knew coming into purchasing this I wouldn't expect a durable/playable toy when compared to a 1/55 Bandai. So maybe your definition of toy differs with mine.
  2. I couldn't resist posting another set of pics... but yet here's another. The pictures do not do it justice.
  3. Given that they had the luxury of having us wait this long for a toy and to tease us with prototype pics, I would have to whole heartedly say, "they have delivered a solid toy!" I've only dropped it one time and luckily nothing broke. This thing is the most meticulous piece of toy engineering that I've ever seen. BTW I bought 3 of them.
  4. I think it's worth $150 not $180 and above however the price of these will just go up anyways so I'd say get it now when it's affordable.
  5. I'm just noticing the detail on the tail section of the bike... a peg that might be used to connect all sorts of optional accessories. So, I guess we should expect some accessory pack down the road. The only disappointment I have is the targeting visor which isn't what I was expecting but I could see why that wouldn't be so feasible in that scale. I think overall I'm glad I didn't invest on the MH and CM version of these.
  6. I finding that the helmet is loose on both beagles when attached to the neck... Are anyone of you experiencing this problem? This a real solid toy for Beagle's first variable toy, where did these guys come from? I have to agree that elbow bend is really odd... bends inward. ]
  7. mazinger z & voltes v I was probably seven when I saw my first anime.
  8. well you might as well put forward bending knees in that category as well
  9. cool! now set it up with side by side comparisons with TV footage
  10. So are there any pictures of the 1/12 version showing the transformation process? The translation is pretty confusing to whether this is a PT or a parts swapper.
  11. Some people don't appreciate the work & effort put into a a fan project. However, I have to agree to those who had pointed out that the mecha doesn't fit the Macross universe. It looks to Gundam and I'm really not a fan of their mecha designs. If you're going to do a fan-base movie stick with pre-existing mecha don't reinvent the wheel.
  12. Wow it was like last week when I heard that Hasbro's toy factories in China were closing down and I thought that was an isolated incident but a week later 50% of the industry is closing shop too. A horrible state of affairs for probably 8% of their population which is probably a 100 million workers. A definite mass protest will ensue.
  13. srsly! All this waiting and I guess their effort into making it's first product as perfect as possible has lasted a span of 2 years, man I hope this is not vaporware.
  14. Save has taken a page from Graham's book by teasing forum members with pictures that will be posted "shortly". You and Overdrive are killin' me!
  15. That and the destroids and perhaps GNU versions of the Zero line
  16. The armored VF-11 had its appearance on Macross Digital Mission VF-X2 which Yamato hopefully still has a license.
  17. As usual the initial fan-boy spout post is a MW tradition to embark on a new Yamato product. The battroid looks awesome!
  18. 1 x 1/48 vf-1a kakizaki (no clear acrylic lights on wings) 1 x 1/60 vf-0a (hud console broken)
  19. Maybe and I don't doubt that, however they've only produced the non-scale, gashapons, 1/100? and 1/72 and as far as we know those are the only licenses they've acquired. Unless, they've made a deal as the sole proprietor of all toy licenses with Studio Nue, the 1/60 scale would still be up for grabs.
  20. "Change is bad! Get off my lawn you damn kids! Call the whaaaambulance, I think my back went out." I think the olive drab looks pretty cool, I mean you guys went ahead and bought a stealth VF-1 and it wasn't canon or in the TV show, come on...
