  1. It seems if this is the final shape, Yamato has failed on both accounts with the single and 2 seater canopys/pilot placement.

Atleast with the VT-1 and VE-1, the shape HAS to be different.

It's a necessary sacrifice to keep costs down I guess. I don't mind, though, it still looks gorgeous :)

Besides, Yammie's seems to listen to fan reactions so maybe they'll make some sort of adjustments to the prototype :)

  2. sigh, it's alot of money... must resist for the sake of variable goodness....

i'll pre-order, and think about it later.

true, as much as I like it, I won't be able to get this immediately :( If only the lowered down the price :( If it comes out this August, I'll skip this over for the Hikky 1A.

  3. what does a minmay guard look like? were they canon?

Having never owned a 1/48, I'll be getting these new 1/60s with gusto :) besides, I plan to collect Macross and the 1/60 scale seems to be the standard hereon. I'll get at most a couple of non-canon VF-1's in 1/48, most likely the 1J Stealth or the 25th Anniv 1S but that's about it.

  4. I won it!!!! I'm still a completist (until the 2 new exclusive versions come out). Not as low as I was hoping, but since it'll be local pickup I save on the shipping. :D

For those saying that the shipping is too high, check canadapost.ca. I thought the shipping was way too high too, but I took the weight in the auction and put the numbers into the shipping tool on canadapost and the seller's estimates were close.

It DOES cost @$200+ to ship internationally from Canada now (can't remember which country I entered, but I got a estimate of $314 for that one). The reason is that Canada Post doesn't have an airmail parcel option for large packages anymore. Just a 3-4 day express service or a no delivery estimate surface option.

What the seller should have done is head over to Point Roberts or Bellingham and ship from the US using USPS. Cause our postal system sucks now... but it worked out in my favour this time

FYI - For any Canadians here who sells on eBay, Canada Post's calculator now includes a State destination field... so it's no longer a flat fee to ship to the US.

Oh that explains a lot :) there was this one time I was supposed to buy something off ebay from a Canadian seller and he also quoted me what I thought was a relatively ridiculous shipping cost :)

Congrats with the win bro :)

  5. I bet you guys wished the polls weren't anonymous.

Blah blah blah it's their opinion.

yup, but this poll isn't looking for opinions but facts from those who bought the toys. This renders their votes invalid.

    @ Moderators:

Is it possible to have just two votes for the broken? From what I remember, only one broken was valid and the other one got his valk without a head (which was solved afaik). The other votes are obviously pranks, of which only one had the balls to fess up. This will keep the poll in line of what it's intended to be.

  6. Okay, I'm home now. It wasn't the leg bits, either. Everything seems to be fine. But what is this??

Roy is just as puzzled as I am:

It's what remains of Kaki's valk :D Rest in peace Kaki :D

    @ Kyp:

I sincerely hope he is. Then again, the number for broken did raise by one. Can the moderators remove that count?
