It's kinda hard to see as my dcam just won't focus this close, SONY DSC-P10 sucks!!
The white line on the left of the screw hole is an actual "crack", and the line under the screw hole is just a stress mark.
-
-
I have transformed my Hikaru once, and now I checked it, I also have the stress crack but on the left leg intake.
Would it be a big problem eventually? as I was planning to transform it a lot in the future..
-
How much do they cost?
-
The cool thing is that, since the plastic they use are soft, you can make them to do some really cool poses that even a yamato can't do. For example, the full open attack in DYRL final scene, when you like the pose, just clue everything together.
it rocks for the price.
PS: the strike version has a little tighter joints, but still floppy.

Anyone has picture of what they are talking about??
-
Do a search, there are threads about this topic since FP released.

Seriously, it doesn't say that the item is a Fastpack upgrade anywhere. I think it is just the GBP Armor pack sold separately.
GBP ArmorPack Y3900
GBP Armored + valk Y9800

Wow, 340 bucks?? what are you guys buying from him?

I wonder if we can use bleach... Anyone try it? I guess it could make it even more yellow..
I remember in the old board about a year ago, a guy found something that you can soak the part into some kind of liquid and it will turn back to white. Anyone remember? I didn't have this problem back then, so I forgot to save the instruction.
-
The thing is that I don't even smoke at all, and it is nowhere close to the kitchen or dinning room

I'm very much pissed, as it is ONLY a 1 year old toy.
Will a clear coat spray prevent it from yellowing??
Any tips on fixing it too?
-
I have it in fighter mode (gear up), place on a flat wooden surface. Since it is in a little angle carrying the gunpod. The side that close to the wooden surface has yellowed. The rack has NO sunlight to it directly. I just don't know what's going on and I'm also displaying my 1/48 this way. Anybody know how to cure the yellowing and prevention.
Please help.. -
Yeah, custom sticker/decal are much better, but I don't know if it worths the extra 10 + shipping cost, as I'm cheap with a lot of 1/48s. That means I'll have to buy 5-7 stickers = 50 - 70 bucks + shipping.

That would be really cool!!! try the latest PS2 Macross game as a reference btw.
-
You have to fly back(land) onto Macross before the hyperspace mode activated. Hit throttle in fighter mode when you see a purple target, and just before you hit macross, transform to Gerwalk and it'll land safely and pretty cool too.

have fun!

Would you guys agree that they should make a flight stick for this game?
Imagine having a thumb analog stick on top of the flight stick to act as the right analog stick in the joypad and the main flight stick to act as the left analog stick, and a speed slider on your left with weapon switching buttons(select) and transformation buttons(L2,R2), etc..
That would make the game much better, as I'm constantly trying to use machine gun, headlaser, throttle and right analog stick at the same time by using just ONE thumb. You just can't do them all with the PS2 joypad.
Any thought?

When I'm in fighter mode, I usually always keep the decelerate (triangle) button depressed. It makes it far easier to out turn the regults and fighter pods. The only time I accelerate is to evade missiles.
Graham
Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think using the brake will make it turn faster, it should actually made you turn slower. The best way to turn is actually transform gerwalk for turning, when done transform back to fighter.
If you only want to play with the fighter mode, using the thrust should actually make you turn faster, but the angle may be wider.

Is there a REPLAY mode in the game, so you can watch how you finish the game like in Aero Dancing?
Please let me know.

I meant mechanical, oops. I'll try see if it works, otherwise I'm giving up on these expensive pens.
-
How do you unclog a micron pen? I used a few before, and it got clogged so easy, and I just can't figure a way to unclog it. It is disappointing as it is quite expensive.

Gundam marker is very thick, but after filling in the line, use some alcohol and wipe it gentally. You can make it as thin as you want but it may take a few tries to get it right. As soon as you like the thinness of it, dry it immediately or the remaining wet alcohol may mess it up again.
IT works, just try it!

SAL does take time but I have never got a shipment later than 2 weeks.
However, I noticed that the exchange rate on yen to dollars is pretty bad for the US customer, I've cancelled tons of preorders from HLJ.
-
I hope that no one will bid on it, as it is quite obvious that it is not 1/55.
I have seen a 1/144 Doyusha YF-19 was listed as a transformable 3 modes valkyrie, and it's ending bid was 80+ dollars...

I'm planning to buy one non-FP VF-1J and one VF-1J w/FP. I'll display one in fighter mode and one in battroid mode
However, the FPs along with one set of TV hands and one Hikaru TV pilot will be transfered to a spare Focker VF-1S, to make a TV accurate VF-1S.
Graham
Aw... Graham, you're now making me want to do that too. This is now become a special item that give you a chance to own a TV FP, TV style Pilot, better hands, and the best looking "J" head.

You know what,
eventually, Yamato "will" run out of idea on what to do next and they will do it. Especially we all know that 1/60 GBP will sell well.
It will be a piece of cake project as GBP does not required transformation, just enlarge the 1/60 mold and make them fit a 1/48.
IMHO, we will definitely see GBP on 1/48.. It is just a matter of time..
as for the thread question, I'll take the 1/48 as it will have better "play" value.
