TV SDF-1 would be epic. They would have to create some added level of detail though so it would look nice sitting next to the DYRL.......oh god not another $300+ toy. .................

Good lord. I disappear for while and now new pictures of this bad boy shows up. I am all in on this but it will be one. Godzilla has a baby Godzilla now. Cant do what I use: buy in bulk.

OOOH Phalanx kit? Is that made by Yamato as well? Is there gonna be a group buy on theis VF-4G? I havent made a purchase on Macross items since last year and it was the 1/3000 SDF-1.

So Dec 2012 release? Should give me time to sell my extra crap and keep the wife happy from my toy binges...

Toynami Legioss/Alphas are crap. They will implode on itself. You have to handle it gently and that incurs a risk of destroying it. Landing gear doesnt give the fighter mode enough clearance esp in the midsection as it sags. The Toynami Beta is a lot better. But you put crap (Alpha) with great (Beta), you still get crap. Proportionally, Toynami is better and some cool gimmacks like the folded up cyclone and compartment for it. Making the arms extend, move, etc were bad. If it was manufactured well and did a little more design/engineering work, it would have been a good toy.

CM's are nice and more solid but less proportional, plus the I didnt like the added accessory to make the alpha-beta hookup. There wasnt a cheap feel to it.

The old Gakkens were rock solid save for the antennas breaking but overall nice proportionals with rock solid transformation. It was the fact we didnt have the beta/Tread toy for it.

I really really hope this movie will be better than the first one. I am still not sold on Flint and Lady Jaye.

I am you MWers in Japan are ok. Seeing the latest news now, Japan govt just issued an alert on the nuclear power plant. The evacuation is now 12 miles from the plant. If you guys or your relatives are in the area, try to get out. (Easier said than done, I know.) Be careful and be safe with those aftershocks hitting.

Just a question about the game, I see 2 version of this game where one is a collectors edition. I see that on ebay. Is it worth getting?

All you customizers, run like hell. Seriously how messed up is this? It is your toy and you decide to make it look better. But you decide you want to sell it for some profit as you put the time and effort into it. So they call it a copyright enfringement? I guess they threw common sense out the door.

As the topic says, I am looking for Bandai DX VF-27 Lucifer Brera Stern and Bandai DX VB-6 Monster canon or SP version. I rather trade as I have toys I need to get rid of as I am no longer interested in them.

Oh, I think they will DEFINITELY milk this mold! I'll lay down money that we'll eventually see several different versions of this mold.

Of course they will. But I will stay away from them all. If a TV version comes out, I will shell out the money for it. Until then, I have this one and only one.

OFMG! This has to take the cake by far and wide margins. This is an awesome DYRL SDF-1. This ALMOST make me wish I bought this at $2k. I said almost. :P

I will say it again and again: you never cease to amaze me. Every time you post your customs, I'd swear it gets better and better. Your attention to detail is impeccable and outstanding especially the Macross City in the leg of the DYRL SDF-1. Damn good work. I really think Yamato need to have you on their production or prototype staff. Again good work.

I am betting that all of this become vaporware like the Yamato 1/60 Destroid Monster.

Booyah! Vf-11B and VE-1 came in yesterday but I had to go to the post office this morning to pick it up. From now on I have to wait for sales like this from HLJ since now I am married. I cant wait to go home and open these up.

I'm somewhat disappointed in this version of the Macross, to be honest. It looks rather shabbily done, as if to just get it out there as quick as possible. The color scheme seems a little haphazard, too. I know the DYRL version was a shades-of-grey deal, but this just seems... bad.

Personally, I'm not that much of a DYRL-version fan. I prefer the TV version, to be honest.

My idea version of the Macross would be a TV version (Daedelus/Promethius) in DYRL colors, but snce these things go for way more cash than I have, it's a moot point.

I have to agree with you. This version of Macross doesnt look thatt good like the WHAM version. And again, I have to agree with you that I am a big fan of the TV Macross version. I love the prometheus and Daedelus as the arms. Now it is came with ARMDs that were said to be added to replace the Daedelus/Prometheus arms, it would be a big bonus.

Hell no. My wife would slice my balls off. Plus I am watching my cash. This put me way outta my league. I couldnt drop $2k on this. I just couldnt justify the lack of gimmicks and the non perfect transformation.
