Another positive for Nani?!, for going above and beyond on our deal. Thanks!

Seriously though.
24 years of games. Sure the last 10 have been really slow but that will hold a record for all time.
2004 - 1990 = 24?
Me am Bizzarro. 2004 - 1990 = 24!
In reality, SNK was around as a developer/publisher looong before the Neo Geo hardware was ever devised. Their earliest title I'm aware of was Ozma Wars, which came out in 1979. This is probably what MilkManX was alluding to.The Neo Geo was pretty long-lived, though I believe that SNK themselves were sold/bought out a couple of years ago. 14 years in the arcades is nothing to sneeze at, at any rate. There are still many great Neo Geo titles I will continue to play for some time to come, the original Samurai Showdown/Samurai Spirits and Neo Turf Masters are for example a couple of my absolute favorite games ever.

Actually, the VF-1A CF Valkyrie (Production) is oddly half equipped for armor. The backpack piece is fully booster capable, but unfortunately the legs and arms are not.
That's funny Blaine (but not funny 'ha-ha'). My non-TRU CF Valks have the FP arms and FP left legs, but the backpack and right legs are not FP capable out of the box. I've heard of CFs with the FP type backpack, but I have yet to see one. I guess they used whatever was available during that transitional period.
Uxi, I agree. I think the telescoping feet are really the one 1/48 design trait that really should have been included in the 1/60s. The others you mention would be nice too.
-
Or, you could sell/part out your standard 1S Roy and pick up the 1S strike which is fully FP capable.

Macross subs/scripts for episodes #1-8 are available at http://www.scriptclub.org. You must be a signed and approved member to access them. The other 24 or so TV episodes haven't been done, but there is a wealth of other files available, from MacII to DYRL, Flashback 2012 to Mac+ and Mac7.
Hope this helps!

....And another one for snip312. Our Mr. Snip is truly an asset to the community and has worked with me on multiple items past and present, always with great communications and service.
Thanks for the bonus Hasegawa on this last go-round!

Good trade with Pat S. Thanks!

It's the only flight sim that has modeled the whole earth including space and even a few other planets as well... Very far reaching with it's abilities.
Not quite the only flight sim to model the whole of Earth and other planets...
The 'Orbiter' sim is open source and has modeled much of the solar system. It has atmospheric flight models as well as space launch and space flight simulation. Orbiter is very technical in nature, allowing the user to build/design/construct craft and missions with near-limitless scope.
WARNING - PHD not required, but highly recommended

You have to admit though, Toynami or not, that this does look much better than the old Gakken 1/55 3-mode transformable. I'll reserve any further judgement until I can see one in person

I think it was just an idea that didn't work out as well as they hoped but enough for them to leave it in... i.e. no one cried and had fits about it.
Thank you, sage Jawa, for the information

May I be the first to cry and have a fit about it then?

Thanks for the answer, shin. In that case, I have another question:
Why is there a very tight retention mechanism for the swingbar/armature, if it is intended to be fit loose?
I'm wondering, because on my [now departed] 1/48, I was not able to rotate the waist joint *at all* with the swingbar engaged... What am I missing (besides the obvious
)? -
I've a quick question here, semi-OT:
What purpose does the Yamato 1/48 VF-1 nose/waist rotation point have, when the leg armature (swingbar-dealie which snaps into nose cavity) prevents its use in battroid mode? I'm genuinely curious

That's just INSANELY cool. Awesome. The addition of the music is great. I run short of superlatives...
Kawamori would be proud

Isn't it also supposed to come with several different mounting clamps? That way it'd be able to support the various mecha, and I also think it can support the latest Quadelunn Rau.

Earlier versions of the stand, with different clamps, were shown supporting Yammie 1/72s, so it may be possible to use it for darn near anything, within reason that is

In episode 1, during the slow motion sequence when Hikaru's comandeered VF-1D crashes through Minmei's wall, you can see a little plush rabbit doll fly from the top of Minmei's dresser. The rabbit's face turns into the Studio Nue "Chimera" as it flies toward the camera, mouth and eyes opening wide in surprise (similar to the scowling Chimera seen during "Hikaru's First Kill"). Has anyone else noticed that one?
It occurs at roughly 28:45 to 29:33, depending upon which version of discs you're watching (I'm watching some old Japanese [Tokuma Shoten] licensed VCD's, in which it occurs at ~29:32).

I remember Ulysses31 vaguely, unfortunately I remember more of the Popples toon shown before 31. What was Ulysees 31 about anyway?
Best I can recollect, it was a spaceborne retelling of Homer's Odyssey. Pretty cool show back in the day.

Photoshop job with my cat and a pic taken from Graham's review of the VT-1...
Wacky picture or not, I love that one. It's terrible
.[Attempting to lend some legitimacy to the post] So, what scale does the cat work out to if the valk is 1/60?

Got a quick question here, regarding DYRL:
At the end of the movie, after the destruction of Bodolza, Vrlitai and Exedol make reference to the thousands of mobile fortresses still in existance around the galaxy. My question is, are all of these Bodolza and Lapramiz class fortresses, or are there other mobile fortress classes [meaning not controlled by clones of Bodolza / Lapramiz]? Or is there an answer to this at all?

AHA! That f'er sniped me by less than a split second! How the hell did he do that??? That was pretty nice Hiriyu. I felt that burn.
EDIT: Wrong item... i wasn't him that sniped me...
You got the wrong guy >EXO<. I never snipe auctions - I place my max bid and walk away. But thanks for the consideration anyway

Doh! Nevermind then. But he was really good at giving me his money. My pleasure Draykov. You gotta be good at something, right? If I excel at anything in life, first it's in giving away money hand over fist. Looking forward to another CF, thanks

*edit - And I got it, thanks. Feedback left*

Truth be told, he was the one who first looked at SDF: Macross and saw it as something the Us would like. We won't go over again what happened after that.
Ditto that, Wes.

You just may have something there. What really annoyed me was how she'd push me out of cover, run out into the open blocking my shots and drawing attention, all the while shouting "Look out Jack!" and "These guys are good!".
Really fun game though, petty annoyances notwithstanding.
