  1. Hey, that's Hutch the Honeybee! What's he doing with Speed Racer?
  2. I think one of the many reasons people find the first episodes to be boring is because most of us are watching it on VHS of DVD, rather on TV. In TV we get a break from episode to episode which helps disperse the boredom and builds anticipation for the next episode.
  3. That was absolutely hilarious!! Roy cracks me up! More! More! The masses demand more!!
  4. Go to www.stephenking.com Stephen has released the first chapter of Song of Susannah. Go read and say thankee!
  5. It's fake. Part of a photoshop competition or something original and fake side by side http://img49.photobucket.com/albums/v151/farshores/fg.jpg comp web site http://www.worth1000.com/view.asp?image=18978
  6. The first one coule be Fukuyama (the image is a little blurry but it sure looks like him) The second one is definately not him though.
  7. Don't you hate it when that happens? And it looked like a pretty cool manga too!
  8. One of the extras in the M7 DVDs (the first disc I believe) has the real Fire Bomber (Humming Bird?) singing live. But the video mostly shows shots from a manga I've never seen before (in English no less!). Anyone has any idea what it is?
  9. I like Macross 7. Heck I love it. I admit at first I only bought the M7 DVDs just to complete my Macross collection. I had seen Galaxy is Calling Me and Dynamite and wasn't too impressed, and I was prepeared for a disappointment. The first episodes dragged. Really dragged. Basara was annoying as hell, battle animation looked like crap, and Planet Dance was starting to grate on my nerves. But somewhere I realized I was starting to like the show. Heck, even Basara grew on me, curiously around the time Gamlin started liking him. And you have to admit seeing Mylia in action with her old VF-1 was great. Reminds me how good the Gerwalk mode of the VF-1 looks in comparison to the other valks. Granted, it's not a perfect show and it might not be for everyone (although everyone should at least give it a shot). I miss the grittiness of good ol' SDF, and the feeling of impending doom, and it's really hard to look the other way when something embarrassing like Battle 7's 'fingers' is shown on screen. But all in all, I'm Macross 7 fan, if that doesn't make me 'Hardcore', so be it.
  10. 1) Any Zentradi capital ship in any scale, as long as its not too small (i.e. Nichimo) 2) 1/72 VF-11 fighter (with FAST packs if possible) 3) 1/72 Unmicronized Zentradi warriors. Can you imagine the dioramas you can make with those
  11. True it's fun! And I guess there are no subtitles floating around for the omake episodes (or whatever they are) either? Well at least most of them aren't too hard to understand. Gotta love the bridge bunnies fawning over the sleeping Captain Max!
  12. Hi all, I just received the 6 DVD Macross 7 set, and there's some kind of Macross special behind the scenes thing in the first DVD where they talk about the music and the mecha and Shoji Kawamori makes an appearance. Is there a translation any where? Thank!
  13. I've played the G1 game. It sounds like a great concept at first and the nostalgia factor was very strong. But as you go further into the game you realize how repetitive (and boring) the game really is. I couldn't even get myself to finish it.
  14. http://www.swannysmodels.com/TheCompleteFuture.html Check this out. Lots of neat uses of Future that I've never heard of, and more importantly it lists alot of Future's alternative names in other countries.
  15. I've alway used oil color washes over acrylic paints. Works like a charm! It's actually alot easier than it looks. What you do is make very thin oil paint. What I do is put a small bit of oil paint paste (Black, dark grey or any other suitable color. Depends on what effect you want to achieve) and add lots of thinner. Lots. Just daub the solution with a brush on the panel line. Capillary action should carry it along the panel line. Don't worry about being neat, just daub away. Wait for an hour or so, to allow the thinner to evaporate. Then load a bit of toilet paper with thinner and wipe away the excess oil, always wiping perpeniduclar to the panel line (to keep the thinner out of the recesses). Voila! This guys uses an acrylic wash. Haven't tried it yet, but it sounds feasible. http://www.swannysmodels.com/Weathering.html
  16. Thanks alot 007! Am I right in assuming that the fighter kits also don't come with the hands?
  17. So Hasegawa has Batteroid and fighter mode of the good ol' VF-1, but as far as I know no Gerwalks. Would it be possible to cutomise the other two modes into Gerwalk, and which would be easier to convert? Thanks in advance
  18. My wote was 2015-2020 It would make it possible to have cameos, or maybe even leading parts, for the old crew (Hikaru/Misa/Minmay are out of the question though). And we'll get a better look at VF-4's and other obscure valks
  19. I looked through the IMAI kits in MW's models section, but none of them had camo schemes. It looks like it really was Revell (although the picture of the Glaug still haunts me). But were Revell kits even released in Japan? Because if there's any part of that memory I'm sure of is that they bought it from Japan.
  20. Hmmm. The camo colours look dead on, but did Revell release a Glaug? I'm pretty sure I saw a Glaug (or some kind of Zentradi mech - this is a 15 year old memory I'm talking about here.) in the line up.
  21. Hi all! I remember a model kit some friends of mine brought from Japan waaaaaay back when Robotech was still very very new (along with colouring books), and it was our first clue about RT's origins. Anyway, I've pretty much lost contact with those childhood friends and I would like (for nostalgia's sake) to ID that model kit. I don't remember much about the box except one very strange thing. On the side (or possibly in an insert, can't really remember) where they were listing pics of the other valkyrie (and a Glaug too I think) kits available the valks were in camofulage colours, which struck as me wierd. I have no idea what company made that kit (that's why I'm asking). My first thought was Revell, but I'm pretty sure my friends brought it from Japan. So can anyone help me here? Thanks
