thanks a million

I once saw someone posting a link to a japanese model site that provides pictures of the kit parts still in sprues as well as scans of the building instructions. I tried to search for it in the old board but no luck. Anyone knows ?
-
I heard the thing is actually large when you combine all 4 parts together. What is it like in terms of overall fit?
I saw 2 sections of the factory set in a toy store but could not find the armoured and skull part. Wonder can this be replicated using Hasegawa 1/72 stuff.

I know other RPG sites exist outthere(like macross generations and macross rpg community) but how bout one here ?
No active macross rpg site seem to cover timelines other than 2040 and beyond.
I would like to experience the battle of south ataria or play as UN or anti-UN forces. Perhaps pilot stuff like T-90 MBTs, Su-43 Berkuts or captain a Seawolf sub other than purely piloting VFs.

Isn't kai already meaning Plus or improved ?
F-14A+ Kai sounds like F-14A Plus Plus

Thanks Dave
Roger that on the 1/48 Revell/Monogram line.
I though Revell had a 1/32 line for the F-14 too. Will look for screenshotss if you need.
Not sure about the Black Knights Tamiya 1/32 but version 1994 IIRC had decal cockpit panels which are simply too poor for a kit that price. But the Tamiya kits now being manufactured in the Phillipines should make them a bit cheaper somewhat.
So Shin's F-14 is more of a fictional B+ version...maybe Kawamori was thinking ..hey the UN is short on F-14D airframes so why not just go to the boneyard and convert some As.

hey Dave is the Revell 1/32 F-14D Tomcat accurate ?Until now i have been able to resist buying it but i am seriously into the Tamiya kit. Hopefully a D or at least a B will be released by them soon. But even the Tamiya kit has some raised lines.

Dave..in-service Tomcats not being able to launch AIM-120 may be true but this is anime and i trust the show more than hasegawa.

Based on what Dave Hintgen said above i think you might find the old monogram 1/48 F-14D kit very close indeed to the Shin MacZero F-14. It has the cockpit of the A(blind luck?) but the fuselage of the D. Not sure about total accuracy and lack of maczero decals. Consider getting some AMRAAMS too for your Tomcat.
Hasegawa's offer even had the old Sparrow missiles with it...i thought in such an advance timeline AMRAAM would have replaced it throughout.
-
Short of taking them with a digicam is there another way ?
I once heard of plugging the PS into the computer or something like that. The reason being i got my VFX disc back and wanna show the gallery2 which can only be loaded from the memory card.
-
I think its mentioned that they run using emulator and 3d card.
-
Isn't VFX-2's Major Angreat from the UNAF ?
-
But the Hasegawa kit can't be potraying an advanced "E" model F-14. Still has the bad ol' TF30s and they didn't even bother to replace the Sparrows with AMRAAM. I hope to see the Raptors and Gripens in Mzero too but i guess it will not happen

Yes, I'm talking about the Macross Zero Tomcat, it's an F-14D Super Tomcat I think.
Yes they are Super Tomcats(nozzle and TCS change)...but didn't Hasegawa used a F-14A model to potray Shin and Lasalle's jet ?
-
I don't have my PS or VFX2 disc with me but can someone post the Cg gallery especially the ones with the VA-3 dropping bombs, Red Millia(or is it Barnrose) shotting and one with all valks launching a stream of missiles.
Thanks.

VF-4 definitely taller than VF-1.
1/48 VF-19 anyone ?
I haven't even began to talk about Gnerls, Glaugs and Regults in 1/48 yet

-
That's nice.....looks alot like the one in the box of a limited edition Hasegawa VFX-Ravens kit.
-
I am not currently working on any VF-4 art yet(doing a VA-3)
but here are some of the older ones for those who have not seen them

I think there should be dedicated threads to color schemes alone as there are so many nice ones outthere.
-
Here is my attempt at VF-4 artwork(or entry into the Lightning cult)......low-vis SVF-184 "Ironchiefs". Ironchiefs a Megaroad based squadron right ?
I think we need a special dedicated thread for color schemes alone....i am sure there are plenty out there...should get prospective model kit makers outthere spoiled for choice.
-
I remember there was an Angel Birds scheme for the VF-4 too but the old threads cannot be found.

Valk size comparison...

I think this is the VF-0 you looking for. Found it while checking around www.1999.co.jp
