  1. Not a certainty at all, since Kira didn't exactly leave it in good condition.
  2. It was pretty entertaining too. FMP is so much better without the Fumoffu style idiocy. Kyoto Animation have done a good job with the animation too, the action looks great.
  3. Plus, it happens to have a Newtype as it's pilot...
  4. It's... pretty off. Very non-literal with lots and lots of liberties taken.. but still a million times better than what you would have seen in those bootlegs. Definately upgrade. The invidual releases will be identical.
  5. 0083 really isn't very good, but if you're going to watch it watch it *after* Zeta, not before.
  6. You'll be happy to hear then that this is the case - Zeta II will be almost 50% new animation.
  7. It is, really. It's just that there are a handful of minor annoyances which rather than just being errors, were intentional. A Star Trek quote, some slang that felt out of place, etc. Overall it's great, better than what ADV would do. But the little issues stand out because the set it otherwise perfect (other than color and saturation issues with the video but that's a whole other topic) For the people who think they paid too much for Macross when it first came out, keep in mind that without those initial purchasers paying a higher cost to help offset the restoration costs, the set might never have even come out. And we got it a long time before people could buy it at cheaper prices, too.
  8. Getting ADV to fix a translation is like getting a blind man to fix a half-blind man's work. You could be sure they'd also 'fix' all the usages of 'Sempai' to something like 'Big Brother' among other things since ADV translations cater to the lowest common denominator. I highly doubt they'd retranslate it though. Why go to the time and expense when they'll already recieve ready made subtitles direct from HG?
  9. With Phase Shift Armor, it's also vulnerable to impacts with weapons made out of ultra dense material - the official specs on Raider mention that it's morning star weapon is made in such a fashion. I think it would made sense for a sword made specifically to tear battleships apart have it's physical parts be made in such a way.
  10. "Mirage Colloid" is a type of particle, using it in a stealth system is *one* application of it, not the only application. One of the SEED MSV units utilised Mirage Colloid particles in an electronic warfare system that could operate under neutron jammer interference. Beam shields do have weaknesses that a conventional shield doesn't.
  11. Katoki's take on the Turn-A was awful. I can't believe how overrated that guy is a lot of the time. People who for some insane reason judge a show on a mecha design without having even seen it also don't realise the fact that the Turn-A's non-conventional appearance is actually somewhat of a point of the series. It's great how just about everybody who encounters the suit has something to say about it, both by people who don't know know anything about it to the other ways it's seen by the few people who know the truth behind what it is. The Turn-A being such an enigma wouldn't have worked nearly as well with a more generic mobile suit design.
  12. Why? With this episode he's sunk so low it's pathetic. One out of control, tantrum induced non-effective sucker punch to a guy not expecting it, then he spends the rest of the episode sulking AGAIN after getting shut down by Rey. He's become almost as worthless and undeserving of respect as Cagalli has been this entire series.
  13. Uh, no he hasn't shown that. He's shown that against opponents of comparable skill and power that he struggles considerably. The three EA Gundams in SEED gave him considerable trouble, and he suffered for the same reasons he lost to Shinn - he is at a disadvantage when he isn't dictating the battlefield and is attacked relentlessly.
  14. It's a case of Lucas having no clue and dropping bullshit in there without much thought towards it making any sense. Considering that the ability to merge with the Force was a secret discovered by Qui-gon and taught to Yoda and Obi-wan, Anakin now shouldn't be in the ghost scene at all since I'm sure Qui-gon didn't pay a Dark Lord of the Sith a visit during his afterlife to teach him long forgotten Jedi secrets. I'm sure fanboys have some great excuses for that one though, as they always do.
  15. There is a Strike Rouge MSIA already out, but it's missing the lion emblem on the shoulder and it does not have the Aile pack, just Sword and Launcher.
  16. No, I think the comparisons are pretty damned stupid, actually.
  17. The Strike Daggers is relatively the same as the Dagger-L, other than color scheme. The original Guaiz and the Guaiz-R have a number of differences though. The original has claw-anchors rather than Freedom style railguns on the hips, has twin beam claws on the front of it's shield, and has more detailed thruster system. It's much better looking, IMO.
  18. Gainax have nothing to do with Paranoia Agent.. probably why it's such a good show. Scryed... ok show, but it belongs on Toonami, not Adult Swim. Samurai Champloo sucks. All style, no substance.
  19. Uh, were you completely not paying attention or something? That was probably one of the more important and eventful episodes theres been in some time, unless you consider "nothing happening" to be "no action".
  20. A Media Blasters rep that posts on Animeondvd's forums was dropping hints about Manga losing the license six months ago, here, incidently.
  21. 32 was subbed days ago, you must have missed it somehow.
  22. That shouldn't be a problem. Yukana's voice is similar in style to the old VA, and it's not like Four ever had any meaningful dialogue anyway.
  23. That was the second time and was pretty unavoidable. The first time however when Neo grabbed Shinn and told him that Stellar was the pilot, she had stopped firing... and Kira promptly pressed the attack and hit her almost directly in the cockpit, yelled at Shinn for not continuing to attack, then took down Neo when he defended Stellar, which of course sent her into a rage again.
  24. And how do you come up with that insane piece of logic? I sure hope you're not going to suggest Shinn is to blame for civilians being killed by Destroy because he returned Stellar, since Destroy would have been put into action regardless of whether she had been returned or not. I love how fickle Gundams fans are. They complain about the how invincible Gundams seem and that the "only a Gundam can defeat a Gundam" aspect is a bad thing until a non-Gundam actually takes one out, then they complain about that instead. I would consider a group of Zaku's using teamwork to rip apart Gundams early in the series plenty as plenty of precidence for a team of Murasame's to make similar short work of a single Gundam. Just the same as how people will defend Kira for this episode. He's usually the ultimate in trying to solve things in non-lethal ways and Shinn is bad for using violence, yet in this episode it's the opposite as Kira presses the attack against Stellar when she had actually stopped firing, and ends up sending her into a craze twice while Shinn tried (with success) to stop her non-lethally.
  25. Why reinvent the wheel? Or rather, why spend a lot of time and money doing a complete reanimation of something that doesn't need it?
