I've been sitting on the fence about getting the book... if there are any copies left at Kinokuniya in a couple of weeks maybe I'll pick one up.

I would think that they wouldn't try to destroy Battle Galaxy if possible, in order to save lives, take prisoners, and get information.

I'm waiting for pics of Battle Galaxy! Especially some sort of clarification as to how much of the ship that we've seen is actually Battle Galaxy and how much is the colony ship... and a better look at Galaxy in attack mode would be nice...

Hrm... 2 more episodes to go, and I wonder if they can really wrap it up. I think I would like to see more of the humans breaking up into factions, with some more belligerent than others. Although this may be too 'typical' of a story. 'Been there, done that.'

Eh, just picked my copy up today--turns out it was issue #1. Should have gotten it first before ordering the other one. I don't know what's up with the date on the notice, but it doesn't really matter. Maybe I'll consider selling the extra copy off or something.

I put in an order for #1 through HMV, I hope there are no problems (like it being out of stock). I suspect that Kinokuniya SF may have some copies of #1, but when one factors in the cost of gas, ordering it from HMV is actually cheaper, since I don't have the time to go up to SF, and I don't have any other reason to be there at the moment. Thanks veffidas!

Sure, but the proportions of the parts make them look more like the giant robots to which I am referring. I prefer the look of the original SDF-1 or Macross Quarter... just saying.

I don't really like the appearance of the NMCs, with the exception maybe of Macross 13. Were they intentionally designed to look like the giant robots of other series?

I don't really care for Basara's music, but the songs were put to good use in that episode and sounded good.

I think your opinion of Ranka might be a little bit too negative. I just think Ranka is too young--now if at the end they fast foward 10 years or something it might be different.

Not to quibble, but the other meaning is also accepted. (Though apparently it has a fixed meaning within the publishing industry, but I wasn't aware ot if.)
