  1. So; does the SOC Big-O have piston-action arms? And are the pistons diecast or plastic?
  2. Just finished watching Bokurano. The show kind of caught me off guard; I expected to force myself through maybe 2 or 3 episodes, and found myself hooked almost immediately. The show did an amazing job of taking a huge cast of characters and making me care about all of them; something I haven't been able to say about an anime show in quite a while.
  3. I enjoyed the first series and The Second Raid- really good stuff. I've never heard of Fafner. Thanks for the heads-up, Bri; I'll check it out.
  4. Thanks for responding, man. I like Votoms, and what I've seen of Pailsen Files looks ok. But I'm looking for something NEW. Anyone? Anyone? ...Bueller?
  5. I need some help. I've re-watched Frontier, and now I need another show to fill the void. Can anyone suggest a good, non-Gundam mech series to check out? Something that has been released in the last couple of years?
  6. A well stated point, but I strongly disagree. I saw the last 2/3 as a warning of the possible consequences of oppression.
  7. Sorry if this has already been posted; I couldn't find them in any other thread. I was scrolling thru HLJ & came across these- The 11cm figures are made by Atelier-Sai, and feature ball-jointed articulation. I like the look & size of the figures, but I can't find any reviews of them anywhere. Has anyone here purchased them yet? Are they made of ABS or are they PVC? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
  8. Listening to disk 2 of Black Eyed Peas- The E.N.D. a lot lately. Also giving NIN- Pretty Hate Machine & Pink Floyd- Dark Side Of The Moon a lot of play.
  9. Holy crap; you aren't kidding! I clicked on the link expecting something similar to a Bebop song, but it's almost the exact same music!!! Point made. I still stand by my claim that the soundtrack is incredible; ripped off or not. And for me, it is an integral part of Cowboy Bebop. Changing the music for something more 'audience friendly' would drive the nail into the coffin of an already bad idea. That would be a sensible approach, but for a franchise to be viable, the first film has to be a hit with audiences. The first episode of Bebop is one of my least favorite; it wasn't until I watched the episode introducing Ein (which ironically features the Imperial Drag/Seatbelts song) that I was hooked by the series. I guess if the producers made a first film based on the first 3 or 4 episodes of Bebop, it might have a chance of hooking some viewers...
  10. As much as I enjoyed the first Matrix film, the sad fact is that K.R. doesn't have the range to play Spike. Stoner-esque cluelesness isn't the same thing as having an existential attitude. Besides, one of the things that made Bebop work so well is that it was a series. It took its time introducing us to the characters at a pace that let us become attached to them. Trying to cram a series' worth of character development into a 2 hour movie can't work. And I get the feeling that the soundtrack would be composed of a bunch of widely accessible, lowest common denominator, top-40 crap. Not that I have anything against crap music; I just don't want it in my Bebop.
  11. Wasn't there talk at one point about a second set of webisodes airing during the break? Anyone have any information about this?
  12. Hello folks. I've been thinking about picking up one of the sets of Tachikoma trading figures produced by Organic, but first, I was hoping that someone could give me some information about them. This is the set I'm talking about- http://www.hlj.com/product/ORG02060 I was wondering if these are made of ABS or styrene, or are they PVC/soft plastic? Are they articulated at all? And finally, how tall is the "bonus" Arm-Suit figure that comes with the case? If you have these figures, please help! Any information at all would be much appreciated! -Eric
  13. Ep. 1 subs have been out for a little while now...
  14. Like most folks here, I discovered Macross through Robotech. Not only did I watch the show everyday after school, but I'd also record the shows as they aired on VHS. It wasn't until years later, via my college Anime Club, that I discovered the real deal-- Macross.
  15. Yes!!! I've been looking forward to this. Thanks for the heads-up!
  16. Thanks for checking for me, David; I appreciate it. Any suggestions on how I can fix it? Is the problem with my current ISP?
  17. Hello, macrossworld admins. For some reason, when I try to access the site, I get a page load error- "Network Timeout The server at macrossworld.com is taking too long to respond. The requested site did not respond to a connection request and the browser has stopped waiting for a reply. * Could the server be experiencing high demand or a temporary outage? Try again later. * Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection. * Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing. * Still having trouble? Consult your network administrator or Internet provider for assistance." But if I go through a proxy server, I can pull up the forum with no problem. What causes this?
  18. It does. GGR's episode 9 is out; pretty good episode. Light on action, but lots of character development. Interesting/ironic choice of words! Yeah; his character makes the group dynamic a lot more interesting. Looks like I was right.
  19. Based on the scans on this link, the armor parts are die-cast. http://www6.ocn.ne.jp/~midori-b/newpic/nes-g0897.htm Anyone who can read kanji care to confirm this?
  20. I haven't used SAL, so I can't vouch for deliver time using this method. With EMS, my packages normally arrive within a week (max) of me receiving the shipping notice.
  21. Are you referring to the Start of G- 00, or the finale of Frontier?
