    I will now have 3 ALWAYS open tabs for Macross World Forums on my phone now. :lol:

    BTW, they are: Unread Content, Bandai DX Chogokin 1/48 VF-1, and now this thread.

    1 thing that I'm not happy about with the DX release is we'll only get 1 Hikaru pilot, so you can't display both VF-1D and the Fan Racer with Hikaru in it. They should have included 2 Hikaru pilots. 1 with his iconic flight helmet + orange flight suit and the 1 with the pale yellow headset + orange flight suit.

    I'll definitely be displaying my 1D in gerwalk, so I'll have to display my pilotless fan racer hanging upside down from cables with "curtains" decorating it. Add in some tiny cuts into it too. :p. Needs a giant tuna head too.

    I love the mix of sales and general posts in this thread. It the only thread I have open all the time on my phone, and I check it daily, so I love seeing all the creative posts (photos, and photoshops), and the sales posts so I can keep up to date with current pricing.

    There is the Where to Buy Macross, Auctions & Dealers Specials section that can be used to post a HOW TO PURCHASE TWE, or best retailers for DX purchases. It would be helpful to have dedicated threads for each DX Valkyrie during the PO week/release date week, where only posts related to retailers opening their POs are posted, and a master post that tracks all the retailers who have opened their PO (and the time it opened in JST) / exhausted their PO + the PO opening price. The posts where we've tracked this information in the past has been super helpful as a resource for planning your PO attack for the next upcoming DX PO.

    The general DX VF-1 thread, along with the photos, photoshops, general discussion of the line, would be a good place to hold everyone's excited "GOT MY PO IN WITH XXX RETAILER" posts, cuz seeing those posts is still very exciting for everyone here, as well as sharing our condolences for those of us who miss out (peer therapy - haha).

    Really good deal from Tenso if you buy from Mercari (first time customers only).

    They're offering ¥10,000 free shipping on 1 single shipment if it contains 1 item from Mercari.

    On a quick search on Mercari and I found a DX VF-1S Roy for ¥25,000, but I didn't check what the local postage fee was. Buyee estimated DHL shipping was ~¥6,000 to AU, but probably more due to dimension weight. Surely not greater than ¥10,000.

    I was highly tempted to get a 2nd Roy, but I just can't afford it.

    There were some clearer shots shown of the 1J Hikaru GBP, 1J Max GBP and 1S Focker GBP.

    My 2 TV Supers are on the way from CDJ, DHL to Oz. 
     

    1 for myself and my workmate. 
     

    CDJ ended up charging me an extra ~¥3K shipping. I’m not going to use CDJ going forward as their DHL fees appear to be higher than other retailers based on feedback on MWF. 
     

    Once EMS and airmail resume I’ll jump back on board with CDJ.

    Oh man that is a steal! Just opened and box damaged, but going by what peeps have reported on their own "box damaged" purchases from Manda, it really is superficial in most cases.

    I definitely would have jumped on a 2nd Roy for that price, and begged for forgiveness from the wife afterwards. :p

    I just secured 1D preorder with my friend in Japan. ¥23,760 shipped. He's going to hand deliver it to me when he visits Australia Dec 2021, so a long wait to get mine. Hopefully covid doesn't get in the way of visiting Australia at that time.

    Expectations blown away. Even more excited for 1D now.

    Was not expecting a Fan Racer to be included.

    Only disappointments:

    • need a non helmet Hikaru for the Fan Racer as per his arrival to Macross Island
    • seated Minmay to go in the cockpit with Hikaru

    I'm going to have to ask my friend in Japan for a favour and get it for me under his Bandai account, then have it shipped to my Rakuten warehouse. Maybe by July / August EMS shipping will be back up again and I won't have to rely on sea mail, but I might still consider shipping it sea mail, since I don't mind waiting if their is considerable shipping fees saved via sea mail. If it arrives in 1 week, or 3 months. It will probably be the same thing - sit in the box for a long time until I find time to play around with it or find a place to display it. My 1J and 1A Max are still in the boxes. I only opened them to check they not faulty. I imagine this is what will happen to my 1S Focker too....

    I really want to do some weathering effects etc on my 1J and 1A Max, but I've been waiting until Summer in Oz so the Mr Hobby coating sprays I use come out of the can without condensation that occurs when spraying outside during colder season.

    After the 1D, the other variants on my wishlist are:

    • VF-1J GBP
    • VF-1S Super Hikaru
    • VF-1A Angel Bird (to display along with the Fan Racer)

    If you need confirmation if DYRL Roy will also be misaligned it is worth comparing the DYRL 1S Hikaru heat shield.

    Is that one straight or also misaligned?

    Yep missed it too. Saw the email notification, but all too late. I had already turned off my web monitor of Plaza Japan, as I never thought they'd restock at all. Oh well... I already had to purchase mine from Amazon JP reseller, so no more funds to buy another. :(

    If I was able to jump on HLJ I would have not bothered with the coupon. If mucking around with the coupon caused me to miss securing the order I would have been majorly upset.

    I totally missed it because I was getting my kids ready for bed. Oh well... it went so fast and HLJ got hammered so hard my monitor didn’t even see the page update. 

    Ended up getting one from Amazon JP, shipped to my Rakuten warehouse and will ship out via sea freight once I accumulate more goodies there. Unit price ended up being ¥4,220 more than getting from HLJ. Hopefully will make up the difference in shipping since HLJ can only send to AU via DHL. Pity though because I have a Freedom Concept 2 sitting in HLJ PW I would have liked to combined ship.

    I’m been monitoring the major retailers for orders opening up again and the only one that has recently is CDJ. It was open for approx 20 mins, but sadly it was 1:48AM AEST and I was asleep.

    If it’s anything like the MoShow Strik....eeer... I mean Mecha Warrior, then it’ll be amazing. 
     

    I’m not a fan of Destiny Gundam, but if they made a 1/72 Freedom I’d sell both of my MB Freedoms (v1 and concept 2) to make space for it. 
     

    Even more of a dream would be GP01 Zephyrantes in 1/72 scale!

     

    Not enough premium 0083 love from any of the toy makers. :sad:
