thanks wolf, my bad. i really do need to check around here more often than i do.
-
if you missed it the first time, i just saw this at HLJ again;
-
Hey Kicker, where did you get that claudia grant figure from?
-
mad skillz, pardna! that is the hotness!! please feel free to do more & keep embellishing.
-
thanks for the links miriya, but i've seen all of these hands and they are fixed pose indeed. one last question aurascope; and this will determine whether i'm in or not...will you be using the super strong resin, or the cheapest grade you can find to do the recasting? because it does make a difference & time will reveal which option you inevitably go with. be as honest, open, and candid as you can be, cause right now, i'm feeling this.
-
i think the hands are available for cheaper on HLJ. Not sure though.
say miriya, where on HLJ do you think you saw these hands, if you can remember? under what category or phrase did you type in?
-
are these hands the same size as the 1/48 standard (chicken) hands, or a little larger? and will you do different colors or just valk white for customizing? inquiring minds wanna know...

Jorge I am so sorry to hear that, bro. Know that my prayers are with you & your family thru this unfortunate event. If there's anything you need that I can be of help with, don't fail to ask. Take care and hold steadfast to your faith.
-
Jorge, your dedication to what you love to do is enviously admirable. If not for the efforts of guys like yourself and others, this hobby of mine would be a lonely, little niche thing I did all by my lonesome (save for my homeboy Chris). Our correspondences have been extreme bright spots in what could have been dull and boring weeks.
Having said all that, I want you to keep this one thing clearly in mind...none of this is as important as your health. I repeat; your health is paramount to anything you want to do in your, and your family & friends, life. I know that you have the dedication and desire to complete all of the orders that lay before you in as timely a manner as possible, but remember that you are only one person. You have a life beyond "this thing of ours", and your priorities should be yourself first, family second, and everything else afterwards.
To all of those who have ordered parts from SD, but don't have the patience to wait for quality, please have some compassion for what this brother is going through. He is literally putting his health at risk just so we can have some really cool items that no one else in the aftermarket is providing. God forbid, something should happen to Jorge that prevented him from doing anymore recasting either professionally or personally; just a loss of resin add-on parts for us, but a real life changing event for him.
Let the man recoup & regroup & reassess how best to go about continuing what he has a true passion for doing. I know that you have the maturity, the respect, and the patience to give him this courtesy...besides, who else will step up to the challenge in his absence? Much love to you for what you're trying to do!
Take care, take time, & get well bro.

Miriya, you have an awesome display that should give you many, many years of satisfaction! That lighting is just...just...what more can I say? Again, congrats miriya & quality work Ron. !!! Thanks for posting the pics bro. I haven't seen a bad area on any one of the posted pictures yet! Looks just like a professional, mass produced item! I guess the rest of us will just have to eat our hearts out pining over this one...man I sure wish I could make it to MWCon. -
That's phenomenal work RON5864!! You should really think about a way of mass producing this item; with mods of course out of respect for miriya's custom. But again, that is really beautiful work, and congrats miriya you lucky so & so
. Hurry & take many more pics for us to drool over. -

1 down, 1 to go...come on NMB4M & VF-1D cuz I'm still praying!

Never posted before (just joined actually), but NMB4M, I just gotta let you know how much your dedication & commitment to this project means to me personally. You have taken another very daunting task and given it the royal treatment it deserves! Because of your love of Macross and it's many, many fans & supporters (especially for the 1/48 scale), we sit at a crossroads so pivotal that it may change my whole attitude toward continuing to collect Yamato products.
Thank you for reminding what immense talent, hard work, and overall enthusiasm can get you in life. You have earned my support for anything Macross, or otherwise, that you decide to put your talented hands to.
Here's to praying that you get what you want from this endeavor. Because if it pays off, you will certainly have made my wishes come true. And for that, all I can say is THANK YOU TO INFINITY!!!!!!!!
p.s. and the same applies to you to EXO!!!!
