IXTL, are you sworn off DX yet? :p

Gone off collecting, yes. Not going through the pre-order madness for this one. Going to be pricey and it's pretty much the same toy as the Advance.

If Bandai does a YF-21 though... I might reconsider.

Excellent! Is this an VF-19 repaint with new accessories or did they make changes to the mold?

We don't know yet but mold wise it'll likely be identical save for the addition of a second seat in the cockpit and a change to the way the canopy opens. And maybe some points for the fold booster to mount (were there any on the VF-19Advance?)

  3. I was certain NY would have suspended my account after I opened a PayPal dispute to get my Kairos refund. To my surprise, it's still open and my DX Arad order is still there waiting to be paid.

  4. I hope people realize that unlike previous delays, NY doesn't have the item in stock at all this time.

In the past, the delay was only in getting the order shipped out, not coming into stock.

It would be a lot more assuring if they changed "didn't receive all of our stocks" to "haven't receive all of our stocks"

The former is just grey whether we will get our PO fulfilled. For the latter, at least we know we will get it eventually.

I don't think they know for sure if they can actually get all the stock needed. They always avoided or stopped replying me when I asked if they would be able to fulfill the pre-order.

All they were able to confirm was "we didn't receive all our stocks", "we will send your order as soon as possible", "we don't know when we will receive our stocks", "we have no estimate on when we will receive our stocks".

Given how the Tamashii webshop operates (which you have kindly shared and explain several times), NY's replies just don't add up. They aren't waiting for stock from a distributor. I really don't see how they plan to get stock in. It seems entirely possible to me that the person manning their dummy webshop accounts didn't do his job or ran off with their stock.

I had submitted a dispute with PP, but have not escalated it yet. I had posted all the chat conversations on PP that I had with their customer service reps, and the ticket as well (just for the record). I was going patiently give them till Monday to respond, but I also decided to follow up on the looping ticket with NY (on their site). This time I stated that I wanted to update them that I submitted a PP dispute (note escalated yet, and awaiting their response).

I informed them on the ticket that this dispute was due to their CS rep's (Phoebe) answer to me stating I would not receive a refund for the pre-ordered item. And that I would gladly retract/close the dispute if they would refund my payment. I also attempted to top the response off that I've been a long time customer with them prior to 2012 with several dozen orders and would hate to see a 'healthy' customer/business relationship spoiled over Bandai's inability to produce for the demand according to the orders received.

I suppose I'm just being too lenient, so now I'm just awaiting a response.

I escalated my case the moment NY gave a BS reply through their ticket about how my PayPal payment was "too old to be refunded" and store credit was my only option.

Good luck with yours. I guess how lenient one is depends on whether you intend to continue doing business with them. In my case, I had no such intention, so going straight for the nuclear option was easy.

Like I said in this post, there are no production or delivery issues with the 31A. If any, they would have posted a public notice. Click on the link and take a look.

TWEs are made to order. Period. Bandai sets a quantity in the background counter of every PO. If the quantity is maxed out, the PO closes. period.

TWEs are never sold via distributors. TWEs are sold by Bandai direct. In fact Bandai will buffer a certain quantity for exchange if the Japanese customers receive defective pieces. But that's another conversation.

In the case of MK, they likely took more POs than they ordered. Someone could have screwed up because the max quantity is 6pc as oppose to the usual 12 pc limit for valkyries.

For NY, they could have possibly made the same mistake. But at least I think they are trying in the background to sort it out, though it gets less assuring as the days pass.

I didn't realize the max quantity was reduced for the 31A. May well have been what tripped up resellers like MK and NY if they thought each dummy webshop account they had could get them 12 pcs but they could only secure half that when they finally went about ordering.

  8. The 31A wasn't sold through Bandai's distributors like general releases. It was only sold through their webshop directly to customers. No amount of negotiating for stock is going to get Bandai let a retailer have stock of a webshop exclusive.

Yes they rather lose your $ than risk getting their account locked.

They probably thought they had the upper hand since I still had an Arad DX pre-order in my account. So they played the "no refund, store credit only" card until they realized I was done doing any more business with them.

Anyway, I'm just glad it didn't drag on. I wonder how @PsYcHoDyNaMiX 's case went.

So when I went to look at my order history on NY's site I saw that the order went from 'Pre-Order OK' to 'Paypal New Dispute'. I looked further into the date and status of the order and the following was listed:

    2018-04-05 13:41:41 Paypal New Dispute
    2018-04-05 13:40:40 Paypal Dispute Resolved L
    2017-10-06 21:23:37 Pre-order - Payment OK
    2017-10-06 21:23:27 Processing Payment
    2017-10-06 21:22:09 Order created

I'm not sure what their 'Paypal Dispute Resolved L' means, but the Paypal claim is not resolved, lol. Looks like I'll be calling Paypal in the morning to see what's going on since I've never done a dispute before.

If you haven't already, make sure to screenshot their ticket replies. Since they can only be accessed through their site, I wouldn't put it past them to make them "disappear" when the time comes when you might need to provide supporting documents to PayPal.

Best of luck to both of us.

My bad, did  not mean to offend, I read it wrong :( .Hopefully PayPal will come through, up until now, ever claim etc I ever done has been successful, they mostly side with the customers especially in cases of obvious 'suspiciousness' like NY.... again it wasn't meant as "it's a lost cause" I genuinely thought the PP had refused and NY offered you store credit.

    m(_ _)m

No offense taken. Meant to put a :) after "...lost cause" in my reply earlier but forgot to.

Well......the wait continues...Sorry about your PayPal claim IXTL.....Sucks....On the bright side....you can use it for a Sentinel Mospeada (or whatever......)

The PayPal claim hasn't been resolved. You make it sound like it's a lost cause. Had to open one because they weren't going to refund me but offered store credit only.

  13. 2 minutes ago, no3Ljm said:

Understood. And hope that you get your money back soon or return the funds to your card soon.

No offense meant. I'm only saying store credit is good for me if ever, it's because atleast I don't need to worry where should I get my future fundings for my existing PO's.

None taken. Just that I always knew NY was shady but since I never got burnt previously, I foolishly continued doing business with them. Not anymore now, so I have no use for store credit.

Sad to receive this from Mykombini:

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, Bandai has not provided the enough quantity for this item.
Bandai has reduced the quantity without any notice for all retailers.
Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience.
    We have refunded your payments.
    Thank you for your understanding
    Best regards

Sucks as I only ordered one and paid straight away back on 6th October. However at least they are giving people their monies back!

Hope Bandai considers another release in the future, especially with the Delta movie coming out. *fingers crossed*

Bandai did not reduce quantities to retailers because this item was not sold to retailers. It was sold directly to customers through their web shop. If Bandai couldn't deliver the item to these customers, it would have been announced either on the webshop or directly to customers, in which case, we would already have had word on it from Japanese collectors.

Another shady shop giving crap replies.

  15. No way I'm accepting store credit. I'm done doing business with them. They had the gall to say the PayPal payment is "too old" to be refunded. BS.

Fingers crossed that once PayPal steps in, they will return me my money.

See, again, I would hope so, but we don't know what real method these shops are using.  Given the scalper market in the past, and how NY used to acquire items, it would not surprise me if they cancelled when they realized they would have to actually get their stock from third party sellers at a loss, because the prices spiked so fast.

My take is NY didn't place as many orders with the webshop as they  received on their own store. Hence the shortage at their end. They took people's money upfront, couldn't deliver and can't give any assurances. Again, this is my take on the situation.

    Just now, Chronocidal said:

It's why I'm holding onto my order.  If they're bluffing about the supply, and waiting for people to cancel so they can relist them, I'm calling their bluff.

This hobby is supposed be fun. But so much about collecting DX valks just isn't. And I wonder why I should want to go through all this just to buy a toy.
