  1. .... I'm not going to argue this with you, I've just lost what little respect I had for you. I don't want to be part of a community with such exceptionnally poor taste so Ima just gonna lurk from now on. It's a shame really, some of you have such incredible modelling skills, but GUNBUSTER FANS!?!? lol it's just not worth it. BYE!!
  2. The anger towards bandai is justified, the market for high-end macross toys/figures is obviously there, but bandai just ignore it. Plus they rub salt into the wound by producing high end toys for uber-crappy shows like gunbuster. If bandai didn't suck so much I could have had decent vf-11, vf-22, battle-7 or vf-19kai years ago, the way things are it's unlikely I'll ever get them. Is it really that hard to understand?
  3. A lot of significant scenes contain 2-seaters. The first close-up look at a battroid, the first minmay rescue, the wedding, mirias first battle in a vf, the saturn rings joyride and the following break-out Some people would want to put a minmay, milia or misa figure in the rear seat, when people see the VF and go "hey that plane looks cool" you can say YEAH -and it's got a girl in the back! Yay kyp reduced his sig size!
  4. I know it'll never happen but I've been wanting a large-scale transformable battle-7 lately, that thing is killer.
  5. pfft, one on ebay right now

    My Double D's

O_O you WHAT?! Are you some kind of VF1 ninja? That sounds like the coolest toy in existence! What could possibly compete with that? Are the seats upright in battroid mode!? DO WANT!!! WANT SO BADD!! >< AAAARGH!!!

    My Double D's

Daaamn those are cool. Ha! Hikaru wouldn't try anything, he was trapped in the dark with her for nearly 2 weeks remember?
  8. As long as the pilot is nicely detailed and well articulated I'd definitely be interested in at least one. Something like that would put pressure on me to collect the 1/60 vf1 pt line as well.
  9. Technically ivanov, nora and bowman were not bad guys. Milias' Qrau is the only one I *might* classify as 'bad guy' mecha. True bad guys are hard to find in macross as most of them change sides at some point, but if we're talking about characters that were trying to destroy the un-spacy forces I would most like to see Britai with misa, kakizaki, and hikaru figs or Kamjin with a minmay included, or a regular zentradi soldier, preferably with the power armor but without would be cool too. Or even a reguld! The 1/60 perfect trans line would be FAR more appealing to me if I could get a zentradi soldier, Then I'd HAVE to buy the 1D so I could display them with the dead zentradi holding the ankle of the 1D, and another zentradi soldier with the max-1a liu-kanging him in the guts. Britai wrestling with hikaru and his 1a, or the scene where roy dies in dyrl. I just don't see the point of buying any of these things if you can't re-create cool scenes from the animation and for that I need bad guys.
  10. OH! thank you for that informing piece of information! but Graham specifically called them action figures in the OP and "toy" /= "mecha" so maybe you can go correct him and tell him to update when ur done being a soldier hater? Vf1's without Zentradi just isn't macross!
  11. Actually the title says nothing about mecha macross /= mecha The cool mecha are only a part of macross. "a new line of highly articulated, non-transforming action figures" Well look at that! ACTION FIGURES! It seems to me that a new line of action figures is EXACTLY what we're talking about.
  12. Exactly! Especially the milking part. By zentradi mecha I was referring to the male power armor or w/e it's called here, that and the destroids got plenty of screen time yet no large figures exist. I'm not crazy about the regulds if I want a chicken-leg mecha I'll get a 21 As for the soldiers not being mecha who cares? Lurker are you serously trying to tell me that you would buy more figures of stuff you already have, that have already been released by other manufacturers before you bought a 1/60 or 1/48 Britai figure? Last time I checked this site was for MACROSS fans and not exclusively for mecha-addicts.
  13. 100% agree with lonely soldier, why are yamato incapable of doing a decent yf-21 sculpt? And why the hell didn't they use this opportunity to release oh I dunno, some non-transforming figures of NON-TRANSFORMABLE MECHA!? Even a zentradi soldier woudl have been nice. I'm so glad I didn't start collecting 1/60's looks like I saved myself alot of disappointment, oh and money.
  14. Ok, that's enough care-bear action, some people might have been rude but at least they were HONEST sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind it's all well and good to tell someone that something looks good to protect their feelings but seriously, PINK FEATHERS? I think in this case it would be cruel not to say something.
  15. And I thought nicjasno was impressive! Makes anything I've ever built look like crap! I've watched a fair bit of macross but I don't recall seeing the monster in anything but gerwalk, anyone know what series + eps show the other modes?
  16. Thanks for that! very close to what I had in mind, tho the absence of pants(!) would have blown their cover.
  17. I snapped and bought 1/ 48 Milia yesterday, It was hard to decide between dyrl Max, tv super Max and tv Milia but the extra screen time the Milia gets in macross 7 and the fact it was flown by 3 different main characters and 1 supporting character clinched it for me. What would have been nice is a Zentradi uniform for the Max 1a, with Hikaru, Kakizaki and Misa figures to put in the pockets. Who could resist that? The more I think about it, the more I want it. Now I'm thinking custom, but where to get the tiny figures?
  18. Oh wow. Someone on a toy forum called me a noob! I'm not gonna get a wink of sleep tonight because of my hurt feelings! Frankly I'm glad I'm a noob here, -five thousand- posts on a toy/cartoon forum is not something I'D be proud of.... But hey, you keep at it tiger!
  19. No license? no max or miria 22? NO MAX OR MIRIA 22 ><?!?!? Aww maAAn! I need a drink! If anyone needs me I'll be in the gutter.
  20. > Please do not troll this post ppl, these are legitimate complaints with a practical solution. Zardoz pictures are ok tho < The YF-21 was a pretty good effort, but pretty good isn't good enough for a $1-200 figure. I beleive it's possible to make the legs more muscular and anime-accurate without sacrificing the sleek looks of the fighter plane. Larger calves would allow for either larger feet or further retraction of the current feet so they don't stick out the back of the plane so much, larger thighs would just look cool. Bigger legs and feet could also accomodate better, tighter joints which I feel are very important on this kind of product. Also could we please get a rotating head? This would greatly increase the number of cool poses that could be done. The flawed YF-21 was hard for me, I would really like to see the VF-22 improved.
  21. LOL so it's a fact now even though you can't make a comparison? There's an expression for that that I'm not going to post here! ANYWAY.. the point of all this moaning is that the more noise people make about the crappy legs on the 21, the more likely it is that they'll be fixed on the 22, It's my understanding that they will have to alter the belly, so they might as well put some decent legs on while they're at it!
  22. Of course you have pictures that make this comparison possible, and you're going to share them?
  23. I'll tell you what, if you find a D'stance for sale (good luck with that) I'll buy it just for the killer battroid mode. I only brought it up because people claimed it was -impossible- to fit decent legs into a sleek fighter. It was done on a 1:72. It should have been easier to do the same on the 1:60 but it seems yamato couldn't even include a rotating head!
  24. A rotating head is more important than anime accurate legs? Clearly it _was_ possible for yamato to do both.
